Onyx ran as fast as she could but it was like the guard said, not all would be in agreement to her presence. She had made it back before the mob could really get at her...she stared up her board walk...her mind was racing, her heart smashing. She was so torn. Flee and leave it all behind or stay and fight.
"People are going to die....No one's going to die. They will hunt you. I'll survive." from her inner breast pocket she pulled the potion she made. She would smash a button on the outside of her ship that would reel the boardwalk up. She hopped she was making the right decision.

Onyx had made a promise to those on board her ship that no harm would come to them while she could help it. Okay, she wasn't a God and she wasn't exactly the ideal heroine figure. But, Onyx always tried to give her best and there were people on board her ship that really needed this protection. The board walk was slow.
"C'mon, c'mon! Hurry!" her head turned to see that coming up towards her like a sand storm the angry mob was speeding for her.
< Raziel! I'm in trouble! If anything happens to me....you know what to do! > and that quickly...Raziel had appeared on deck.

Raziel could see that the board walk had been lifted. He could see the herd of people with their weapons, torches coming for Onyx. He looked down at her with a face full of worry and saw in her hand what she had.
"ONYX! NOOOOO!" but he was too late.
< Ten Minutes Raziel...it's all I have... > WHAM she threw the bomb. The bottle broke against the side of her ship and a shield was cast upon it. NOTHING COULD GET IN OR GET OFF HER SHIP NOW.

Onyx spun around to face her angry fans. They all came to a halt before her, snarling, like a pack of angry wolves.
"Your quarrel...is with me! The people on board my ship are HUMAN!" she lied fiercely. We all know she could be very convincing.
"I will NOT allow you to harm innocent people aboard this ship! It is against the (your) law! Whether you hate me or not! ... but I promise you...justice...will....be....served." she growled and now she reached for her whip.

There came a group running up behind the angry posse that were determined to defend and up hold Onyx and the law and the fight...would commence.

A quick draw up her whip she lashed and slashed who she could. She aimed to drain their energies enough to render them immobile and like a vampire she fueled up. Her veins coursed with so much energy that eventually she had to stop. Other wise she would essentially serge out. She was doing great at first but the word spread like wild fire until the whole town was down at port throwing fists and fighting for the greater good or...the greater retribution. Onyx...didn't seem them as Evil. She saw them as angry and scared. Human. None of these people were baby killers, rapists, serial killers, drug lords, or into darker seedier deeds that Onyx took care of. She didn't want to hurt anyone had she had her way. But the chaos gave birth to more chaos and about four to five men tackled Onyx from behind and began to stab her repeatedly.

She screamed to the pain. Shrill and loud. Her eye's shot up to her ship, the last anyone would see on their Captain before being dragged into the thick of the crowd. Her blood ran out, pouring into the streets, smeared in spatters across her face and Onyx was forced to defend herself or die. Onyx placed her hands upon various people....she let those eye's flicker, let the pupil of her eye's wash away...small zaps of light came from within the crowd. She was draining the life of others until they dropped dead! Each time this would happen their energy would give her the strength to keep going as her wounds began to heal. It was painful because right when something would close, someone was right there to reopen it.

Onyx's eye's flickered to a red, she could not contain her anger any longer. Her entire body burst into flames. Her long dark black hair began to change into that of the color of blood. It was long, longer than even her usual thigh length black hair. Her face was human but...there was also something alien about it too. Bird like.

Raziel stood on deck pacing watching this horror, pissed, oh how he wanted to just go down there and murder the stupidity from this town...but Raziel wasn't really human no matter how hard he tried to blend in. Everything inside of him constricted and conflicted. It was wrong to the way he chose to live. His mother now stood on deck, Linia...

< You have to help her... >
< Do i? >
< I am asking you to! How could you just let her go like that? >
< Raziel...the damage has already been done. It...isn't wise to meddle with human ways. Your such a stupid child. You will learn. >
< DO this...for me!? >
< ... will you start to get back to your true roots if I do? > Linia turned her head and saw Onyx ignite. She and only she had figured out long ago at the Lost Nights how to break the Phoenix from Onyx. It was actually very quite simple...in theory.
< By the way son..you could have left the ship. We are not bound by this magic... > she grinned before sinking down into the floor boards.

Linia, in her human form came 'from out of nowhere', right as she had made her firey transition and punched her. The force was enough to knock the woman out and to send her flying. The red in Onyx's hair receded and the flames died out instantly. The Phoenix was not an elemental. It was a part of her, it was utilized by Onyx's chi. She would tap into this inner being, it's energy to use it's abilities. If Onyx was unable to tap, the Phoenix would be cut off from her and her to it. Onyx...no longer moved.

Linia whipped around and let her true form show! Standing over Onyx's body like she owned the woman she let her jaw drop. Linia let out a resounding roar taking a very aggressive defensive stance. Well...the humans of Lockeport took one look at this and booked it! Even it it meant climbing over people to get away! This fight was over. A rain began to fall...it was soft but it was enough to wash what blood had been spilled. Guards dragged off the wounded in a hurry, others staggered away on their own. Linia turned around to look at the very still Onyx, she who's body was left steaming in the wake of cold rain.

Standing against the mast Vincent's form slowly moved forward, he could hear all the noise being spread around the town, and as it neared his head lowered and his hand came to his face as he thought to himself. My how he wanted to laugh, but he didn't know how to. The small deal with Vincent, Raziel and Metal, each time one or the other surfaced they lost something of their former self. Vincent lost not physical abilities like Metal but he lost emotion and a part of his memory each time he came about. He could remember what he and Metal had done if he tried, though some things still laid in the dark for him. But standing there his eye's opened and a faint glow came about as he felt the energy he'd felt all those years ago, she was back, and now she'd be broken.

Leaning forward his body started to slowly move along the deck, hearing the argument between the two beings, he now saw the woman one dip down into the ship, and the boy was left aboard the vessel. He just walked appearing beside the boy, his head slowly turning to stare at the boy. His eye's faintly glowing as he stood there, his body, his own energy said it all. Quickly he turned jumping from the ship down to the port, it was quiet a jump but at the same time he was a vampire. Standing there as he landed the area surfaced ice as large shards began to rise from the ground and appear around him and the others. Now the rain slowly hit him, turning into ice and fueling the area around him, forming even greater ice shards, he turned staring at the smoking woman.

She was out, his head turned faintly looking back at the alien as he walked towards the woman that was out. His body slowly stopped at her figure, looking at her. Ice started to form around her as he crouched down and reached his hands down under her. Picking her up like a baby, a child even he turned looking at Linia. If she moved for him, he'd break her as well. His eye's showed nothing, nothing but darkness and callousness, he was what he claimed to be. Turning about now his form carried himself towards the ship, the rain soaking his body while most of it formed into ice, sliding off and dropping to the wet damp sand now. He moved up the plank and onto the deck. The boy was still there, his head turned looking at him. His arm's dropped quickly, allowing the form of the woman to fall from his arms with a loud thud against the wooded deck. Looking at her his mind ran with thoughts before his figure stepped over her and returned itself to the mast of the vessel.

Raziel watched as Linia stood there. She had been staring at the man, the vampire before her. He could see it, feel it that she didn't think something was quite right. Raziel watched as the male had scooped up Onyx's limp form, Linia had hit her damn hard. He watched the way the rain drummed off of everything, the way Onyx's long wet hair dripped being soaked. That poor woman. Raziel had to wonder why this man had helped Onyx in such a crass way. When her body hit the deck he gasped.
"What the ********] he hissed as he darted for her. Scooping her up into his arms, he was so confused right now. He was forced to pull his attention from the man and focus on Onyx. She was what mattered to him most in this moment.
"Onyx...stupid woman. Why? Why did you do this to yourself? You...should have let the others help..." but he knew it the moment he said it why. She knew that Raziel, Linia, Rysen would take the opportunity being all that they were to kill. She did it so that way the others, aside from those three wouldn't fight and get mixed up into her mess. Onyx had preserved their "innocence". They were safe. Her ship was safe, but she...she was not. Raziel knew that now.
"Onyx? c'mon...open your eye's damn it!" he said tapping the side of her face.

"I want to see you suffer....your curse is nothing more than a gift, your a vampire...without the threat of death there's no reason to live at all."

Onyx's eye's started to slowly flicker as she rolled them open. She tried to roll out of his arms, she landed slightly haphazardly. She shook on her very arms with her body just so dazed and her weakness wasn't quite from the lack of energy...but a lack...of willpower. Oh Onyx was very broken right now. Her long wet, dripping hair flowed down around her face, coiled to the deck beneath her. She pushed upwards trying to get to her feet. She stumbled but saved herself by crouching, one knee to the floor. Head hung, blackened noodley stands in her face she panted.
"Leave...me...alone..."

"Onyx!? It's me ra-"

"I SAID LEAVE ME ALONE! ALL OF YOU!!!!" she snapped and got to her feet. Staggering she would make her way to her quarters. Once there she would continued to stagger past her table knocking things over. Her hands would remove her gear and toss it to the floor. She was starting to hyperventilate a bit. Coughing she flung her body to her bed landing in a wet messy heap. Her hands came up to cover her face, she shook her head rapidly back and forth and screamed. She screamed high pitched and shrilled like she had when she had been attacked down in the streets. Onyx had killed three people down there. Her repentance was jacked up now. An added 300 evil baddies. But Onyx hadn't been looking to end her immortality, so why so broken up? Onyx's honor, her morale, her spirit, her pride, her road to a more virtuous life was smashed. Onyx was shattered within and it would seem...like the image of the broken doll from her dreams, had come to make sense. She sobbed. She was so angry! she was utterly lost within herself. She rolled onto her side, buried her face into her pillow to muffle her screams and cry of self defeat.

Ailsa moved forward and tapped on Ceaser's head with her foot. It was only a light hit, not like she was kicking him. She then bent down and grabbed his arms. Carefully she pulled him towards the spare room that she had just came out of, and moved him towards the corner. She would then quickly leave, go to her room and grab a pillow, and grabbed one of her mother's journals. She came back and put the pillow under his head. At least now he would be comfortable.

She sat down on the ground, and read the journal. Maybe when he woke up they could talk about what they should do. She would have to forget for a while how she felt about him and what he done. He deserved a change to shape the child's future just like her.

Then she felt the energy and looked up at the ceiling. What was going on? She turned towards the book, but she was worried.

Name: Leontias Métaliene:

He had only heard the commotion from the bar, and he came just in time to see Onyx lifeless body. The bard eye went wide in horror. Raziel was right, she was stupid for not letting them help. However, it was also something he understood, that she had to do things herself. Her crew needed not be harmed by the actions that she will commit. She even made sure to protect everyone’s true races. It was the second time anyone had ever given their lives to save him. Only this time, he felt what he should’ve felt the first time, instead of guilt. The Black haired bard felt grateful, saddened but grateful.

When she began to wake up, sadness came way to relief. It seemed however, that this very moment drove her past the breaking point. When Raziel attempted to speak with her, the captain yelled at him, told him to leave her be, and she proceeded to run off. Leon stared at the stairwell for a second. Humans called it a Conundrum. That’s what he was facing A Conundrum. She asked to be left alone, it was a choice better what was best for her, and what she wanted.

“Onyx….” He yearned to help his best friend, wanted so badly to just grab her by the waist and hug her pain away. He knew however, that she needed to be alone. That it would be too much for her to deal with anyone right now…

Lance Graystone knew something was wrong.

He stood in the shadow of one of the buildings watching the ship as the mob came roaring towards the Captain. He watched as they attacked, screamed, cursed and torn apart what was left of the Captain's esteem. He wanted to go over and attack the crowd but he knew that if he drew attention to himself he would draw attention to his sister and he wouldn't have that. Besides Linia had everything covered. With a roar in her true form she made everyone run or crawl away. He watched her closest take her back to the deck and he sighed.

The rain felt good. It rained on the blood, on the darkness and whipped it clean. He walked forward and looked around. These people were idoits. Didn't they see that Onyx wasn't the one doing these horrible things? She would never hurt the town of Lockeport. But all the people wanted was blood.

He would stay on the ship for now on. Make himself avaliable to who ever needed him. And he needed to make sure the ship didn't come to harm. It was his sister's home, even more then the house that he had bought for her. It should be safe, the house. He let out a growl and floated to the deck.

He let the rain wash over him, and looked up at the sky. It would be a while till everything went back to normal. If it ever did. For now, he just stood on the deck looking up.

Look into my eyes...

Lela had watched everything that had just happened to the raven haired woman; she felt terrible for her and had wanted to help. While three Lockeport citizens dropped to the ground around the attacked woman, Lela tried to reach inward and bring out her life drain to assist the captain, but something was wrong. As much as Lela tried she couldn’t bring her Kachina power to make an effect past the ship, she could see the life force pulsing on the boy standing on deck but past that, nothing. Lela had no concept of shields and her confusion caused her power to flicker out.

Everything inside Lela wanted to help the woman, she could relate to what was happening… the pain Lela saw in her eyes as she harmed the people reminded Lela of her past. She didn’t want the topaz eyed woman to go through such pain. Then Lela saw the Vampire behind the boy on deck and froze, now she really couldn’t do anything, not even move, so Lela remained next to the bar door.

Vincent's eye's opened quickly, his head turned glancing around, he didn't see anyone at the moment, but he could feel that someone was still aboard the ship, and he had a good feeling at who it was. His body creaked as he moved, ice falling from his body from the rain having frozen on his body. His upper form leaned forward pushing himself from the mast of the ship, his bare pale feet slid against the grain of the wooden floor, barely making a sound he moved. He appeared at the cabin doors, he had heard her scream earlier, it was a wonderful sound of pain and torture. His hand reached out pushing the door opening the cabin to the inner workings of the Asper.

Peering into the dark and cold room he stared looking down a darkened hallway before his body disappeared inside the cabin. His mind wandered through many thoughts as he proceeded to take each step, finally arriving at the door of the Phoenix, Onyx. His hand moved pressing against her door, his head lowered for a moment, and his eye's closed as he thought to himself. Slowly now his hand pushed the door barely cracking it as his head slipped into the room. He could see a distressed Oni, crumbled upon her bed, still soaking wet and cold from earlier. His body slipped into the room, shutting the door as he turned leaning back against it. Standing there for a moment or so his eye's glowed faintly behind the cold blue shades that covered his eyes.

Her face was in the pillow she had to stop crying unless she wanted to suffocate to death. She turned her head slightly. There. That's all she was going to allow herself. It was like some sick kind of punishment. Her chest rose and fell. She just lay there. "Breathe. Don't forget...to breathe..." she told herself letting her eye's slip closed. Her eye balls felt like they were on fire. She heard the door creak open, she felt the draft...her eye's half opened. Her bed lay just beyond two shoji screens that were at present pushed to the side, within the dark deep in the back of the room the only thing that illuminated that area was the glow of a lamp. She hadn't turned over to see who it was, she hadn't cared to look with her chi. Maybe someone snuck aboard her ship and had come to kill her off. She would set this room ablaze before every allowing anyone to do such a thing...but...right now...she was so broken.
"What do you want?" she called out to whomever it was. It was her small way of letting the person know that she knew they were there. Her voice was rather cute/pathetic sounding. A stuffy slightly husked but feminine voice was what would greet their ears. Quite different from the strength she carried before.

Standing there his body chilled the air, the room became increasingly colder by each passing second, it probably wouldn't take long for her to guess who it was, and by the sound of her voice, ti seemed that she probably really didn't care. But as he leaned against the door he could see her move, toss a bit as she turned to give herself some room. His eye's just closed as he thought to himself, his mind now racing with thoughts, the way she was, the way she'd handled the situation, the whole town, well most of the town had tried to kill her. Slowly only one eye opened back up as he continued to think to himself while in the midst of speaking with the dear captain now. "I've answered that question enough." He spoke a soft whispering voice flowed throughout her room , almost like it would wrap around her. "They wanted to kill you..." he continued, his sentences short and too the point as he stood before her.

As soon as the air dropped she knew who it was. His drop in temperature made the wetness of her hair and clothing set in a chill that was hard to fight. Her lips began to tremble ever so slightly from it. She listened to his words as she rolled over onto her back and stared up at the ceiling.
"Steady Onyx...breathe...relax. Your in no position..". "They wanted to kill you..." Her lips parted to speak.
"....They were angry and scared. Maybe you missed the group that got hurt in the wake of all that anger? You know...the ones that tried to fight for what was truly right?" she said semi sarcastically.

Looking at her as she turned over, he could barely hear her mouth the chattering of teeth as she grew colder, his eye just shut again as he pressed from the door, his head just tilted to the side now as he began to walk towards her. Opening both eye's they glowed faintly now in the dark lighting of her room. "People....are always afraid of the unknown." He spoke walking to her bed, his eyes looking her up and down, she was indeed broken. "They hate you...even the one's that believe in you; you'll never have their trust again." His words came forth flowing out of his mouth as he stood before her.

His long white mane flowed against his face as he whispered sweet nothings into her ear, telling her the harsh truth she would now have the face. "That's just the first attempts, they know where you stay." He spoke. "They will come back, and then what, what do you do?" He asked her, he was getting to the root of his conversation, and then he'd be silent soon. "You know, the look on your face, they way it was done." Vincent continued his body turning away from her now. "You looked happy to kill those people...dare I say you enjoyed it." He paused stopping back at her door. "Murderer..."

Her heart smashed in its cage to his words. They hurt her, her heart sunk as the pit of her gut churned. The woman was broken and as such he would get away with a lot of things during this down time for her. But...the fire in Onyx could never die for as long as she was still breathing. She sat up and moved with surprising agility lunging forward on her feet to close the distance. He called her a murderer. Her right hand reached out and coiled around his wrists and gave a light tug to prevent him from moving for the moment.
"Hey! I am not a murderer! I didn't murder those three people in the bar you did you b*****d! What part about me bleeding out and screaming in agony said to you that I was enjoying any of it!?" she snapped. He would notice that there was...something about Onyx's being right now, something that seemed far more feminine and demure. Inside she was like an angel with broken wings, fighting to remain sentinel over what she guarded, valued.
"I am not a damn murderer. I was defending my life!" onyx had zero memory of the phoenix either or anything that happened after that moment. One thing was for certain, her head hurt. Particularly her jaw. She hadn't let go of his wrist yet and when she did she side stepped him and stood between him and the door. She wasn't done with him by a long shot.

"Your a s**t. I...I know they hate me...you think I am not use to it by now!? You think I don't know...people...don't" she was struggling. "that people don't trust me? But...what does that have to do with anything!?" her eye's were welling up. "I just...wanted to do what was right" tears brimmed the rims of her eye's and spilled. She let out a shutter of breath.
"If they come back...I will...be ready...I am..." she knew the damn truth. She knew she was going to be exiled from Lockeport. What would be any different from the life she knew? She'd have to sneak around when she wanted to go into town...and what? Have Vincent running around trying to expose her every attempt? Her eye's narrowed on him.
"Stop telling me the things in which I already know Vincent. And stop trying to tell me what I am and what I am not! It was...defense...defense...okay?" something in her voice was saying she wasn't too sure anymore.

User Image { Shiara ~ Race: Human ~ Outfit: Ensemble ~ Location: Asper ~ Deck }

What a miserably sad mood permeated the the gray deck of the ship as it started to rain. Shiara had reached open air in time to see the tall white haired stranger dump the Captain's still form onto the deck with utter disregard. The sound of the thud as her body hit the deck seemed to echo into the empty air as Raziel's panicked voice called out to Onyx, tenderly cradling her, she watched his lips move but could only hear the last part as she drew closer, "Onyx? c'mon...open your eye's damn it!"

Was the moister running down the girl child's cheeks just rain water or was she shedding tears at the sight of the mighty, the intimidating, the beautiful.... the Captain fallen so low and why... how? When Onyx awoke only to pull staggering away from the Doctor's hands Shiara stayed back several feet keeping a respectful distance, "I SAID LEAVE ME ALONE! ALL OF YOU!!!!" The broken rage and anguished pain, the words that she shouted at the world in desperation... Shiara felt utterly lost and confused, but more then that she felt a great sadness as she watched the Pirate Queen run from everyone to hide in her room.

Shiara just stared in the direction of the vanished woman at a complete loss for anything to do or say, if she'd been on the deck to observe the whole event she'd have been more shell shocked but less confused. When the unsettlingly cold fellow who'd so crassly deposited Onyx on the ship soon followed after the Captain, Shiara felt her fists clench at her sides. She didn't know why the sight made her so angry as he entered Oni's private quarters, she didn't even know who he was yet, not really... but it just... it just seemed wrong. The way Onyx had yelled to be left alone... why was he going in there... why was anyone, save maybe her son Heiden, trying to push in on her obvious grief. Why... why won't you leave her alone? The thought was distant and hollow, how little she realized that the man, the creature, intruding on the Captain's moment alone.. was the very reason that all hell had been breaking lose as of late.

Standing there numb, and unable to think clearly enough to act, Shiara spoke to the empty air around her, not caring or knowing who might answer, "Is... is she going to be okay?" Because that was all that really mattered in the end wasn't it. What had happened just now, the sounds of screaming and violence that had drawn Shiara to the deck, it was in the past. The immediate past sure, and she wanted to know the details, but it was over for the moment. And in this second her vague feelings of fear, anger, discomfort, how did any of that really rank compared to concerns for the future. If Onyx was going to be okay, then Shiara could focus on herself... but if the Captain needed something... or someone... then Shiara wanted to be damn sure that it was all beyond her control. Before she turned her back blindly on whatever was taking place and tried to just merrily go about her own stupid way.
