Catherine and Kuromai

"Oh no why does it have to be so wet!" The young girl exclaimed with her small brown colored backpack tucked in her arms as she was running along the cobbled town road. She was looking so desperately to find a place to take shelter in that she didn't even notice the town regulars giving her the dirty looks. 'Oh man this always happens, I just have the worse luck.' Her mind overflowing with thoughts that she stopped paying attention to the road in front of her, her boot snagging a off centered stone made cause for her to stumble forward. The flap of her back pack flew open as she stumbled forward a black fur ball leaped forward escaping from the sack and landing perfectly on all fours.

Shocked to see her family cat had stowed away in her belongings she struggled for a second but managed to catch her balance. With a sigh of relief at not falling and eating the road she heard the cat cry out at feeling the rain. Looking up she saw the slender black ball dart off ahead of her again. "Wait Kuro! Don't leave me behind." Calling out to him was no use he was already gone and once again Catherine pulled her pack and held it over her head as she took off running again this time following after the strange family pet till at least the cat had brought her to a porch of a Victorian style home.

"You think we can stay here a bit?" She questioned towards the cat knowing he couldn't answer back for she had no idea about his true form being more human like. Opening up the door the girl peeked inside, "Hello" she called out but saw no one right away pulling the door further open the nimble little cat scurried inside and began to shake in an effort to get the water off of his fur. Her eye's grew wider at the fact that Kuro had just helped himself inside. "Psst cat get back here!" As almost as if the cat purposely gave her sass it looked over it's shoulder to her before walking away heading into the bar renovated area of the home.

Catherine knew she had to follow her cat now returning her pack to her back she now went in and pushed the door shut following after the feline. As she walked in she couldn't help but slightly gasp at how lovely the home looked as it reminded her of back home. Forgetting about the wondering cat who had now hopped up on a bar stool and then wondered on the counter sitting at the edge as he proceeded to lick down his paws pulling the water from his coat. Rounding the corner it was the crackling fireplace that caught her attention and drew her in further. Even though there was a girl already standing there gazing at the fire Catherine walked over she was wearing a white long sleeve shirt a necklace of a green emerald her mother gave her held on a silver colored chain that hung pretty low a scarf both white and green stripped wrapped around her neck. A matching color green fluffy green skirt and a pair of knee high brown boots.

"Do you mind if I join you?" The young petite girl that stood about five foot seven in height asked as she moved closer standing now next to the stranger she looked over at the fire. Truly appreciating for once the warmth of fire now that she had been rained on a bit from the soggy little town. "My name is Catherine, It's a pleasure to meet you." Not being able to help her friendliness she introduced her self to the fox girl who was next to her not noting yet that the girl had ears sitting right there atop her head. Catherine's teal colored eye's so fixed on the flame before her as the orange tint glow from the fire held the light that glowed on her face and golden blondish hair that was perfectly straight showing its length that stopped just below her waist line.

Kale Ryner

As the time pressed on with his nose in a book he grunted away each push-up with a slight "Tsk" noise his arms constantly in a state of lifting and lowering himself his body began to sweat once he had reached into the higher count numbers. He had continued while sweating for so long that now his hair was once again dripping and while reading a couple drops of sweat fell onto the open pages of the third book he was now on. Noticing this he figured it was a good time to break stopping himself at this point Kale crawled over into a sitting position and just began to breath deep breaths so that he could slow his heart rate down. Pushing his hand back through his hair his palm became wet and he really smelt of dog. With a narrow glance now he felt something odd, his senses telling him it was time to leave this area for now. Snatching up the books with his other hand Kale returned each one to the shelf turning on his heels now he made the effort of leaving his thoughts were to head back to his rented room for a shower.

-Some time later Trixie made her way back to the tavern, carrying several bags filled to the rim with fish and other things to make her big dinner she was planning. She wobbled some as she made her way to the kitchen. Once she set the bags on the counter she pulled out several large salmon and set them on the kitchen island. The sounds of her butchering the fish echoed with each chop of her cleaver as the squishy thud of their heads falling into the trash bin.

She mummed happily to herself as she swayed to her own song in her head, her movements smooth and graceful as she flayed the fish. She then set them aside on a pan, putting that pan in the fridge to wait until dinner. After going through the other things she bought she smiled as she walked out of the kitchen, a kitchen towel slung over her shoulder.-

Being lost in the fire dance, Shadow felt at peace, like this place would be ok. Crossing her arms, and feeling her toes defrost from the cold. The young fox was now about to close her eyes, till her fox ears slightly twitched to a small noise, followed by small voice that belongs to a girl name Catherine. Slowly, turning her to look up at the tall women. Shadows gave a small smile, and bowed her head "No...of course not" Shadow said softly to Catherine. Her hazel eyes now looking up at the women, compared to her she was very short. With a small smile, Shadow lower hands, and turn her body towards her and gave her a proper royal bow "Nice to meet you, Catherine. Im Shadow" she said with a small smile.

From the couch area, Gwee was quietly sitting there like a stuff animal would do and watch the both of them. Slowly, with anyone noticing his head turning to the right of them. His bead green eyes was now on the cat. Watching it lick its paws.

Laying the library and heading straight for his rented room Kale went inside he was dying to take a shower now for he needed it badly. Pulling off his cloths and throwing them down on the floor he stepped inside and turned the shower on. Pulling the door shut the water shot from the overhead nozzle and right onto him. That first spurt was cold coming out of the pipe his hand tighten into a fist as he bared through the seconds till the water heated up. Being able to relax once again Kale rubbed himself down rubbing away the sweat that had so greatly covered him a few minutes ago. His shower only taking him about fifteen minutes max, before he turned the nozzle to the off position killing the flow of water.

Stepping out he first wrapped a towel around his waste, the excess water dripped down him and onto the floor as he took a quick glance towards the mirror seeing it was fogged. With the side of his arm he rubbed away a patch of it to see himself. Taking the time to dry himself he only threw a hand towel over his head before entering back into the main part of his room. Scooping up his pants he fought his way back inside and then left once again. This time without wearing a shirt, darting down the stairs Kale walked into the bar and looked around. Seeing a few new faces he said nothing to them as they were having a conversation.

His green eye's now fell on Trixie who was seemed to be starring off into space as she was quite as a mouse just standing right outside the kitchen door. Pushing the small hand towel he had over his head Kale was rubbing out his hair as he made his way over to the wolf girl. "Hey do you mind pulling me a water from the fridge?" He normally would of went and got it himself but since she was the new cook of the place he didn't want to just overstep his boundary by waltzing into the kitchen which was now her domain.

Eve walked down the stairs her hair was wet from a shower and her clothing changed. Blue eyes flashed at all thr faces that had come into the bar while she had been away. A soft smile spilled on her mouth as she moved from the bottom landing to behind the bar. Her feet bare against the wooden floor bringing a slight chill up her spine. The smile widened ever so slightly at all the chatter in the room.

Jira was busy being Jira and Edmond hadnt been seen lately making her wonder about the boy. Captain was snoozing peacefully in one of the over stuff loungers against the far wall. The fire was still going as strong as ever making her wonder who had actually kept up with it.

Silently the girl made herself busy behind the bar. Taking the dirty glasses to the sink and beginning to wash them.

-Trixie blinked for a moment when she heard Kale voice. "Huh? Oh yes sorry." She responded with a soft giggle, stepping back into the kitchen she returned shortly with a cold bottle of water fresh from the fridge. "Here you are." She said with a grin as she handed it to Kale. "Will you be staying for dinner? We'll be having Lemon Pepper Salmon on a bed of wild rice, fresh steamed veggies, and for desert, I plan on malting a nice strawberry topped cheesecake." She smiled, folding her hands behind the small of her back.-

Catherine's teal eye's falling onto the girl that had now introduced herself as Shadow watching as she gave a royal bow before her she was amazed. Such a simple action though to her it was something she was only use to back home where things were more proper. She had never thought that people out in the world would do this, 'she would have to have been raised like royalty.' She found herself thinking while turning to face her she returned the customary greeting bow like she normally would have back home. It was shortly after she stood back up straight that her eye's had finally noticed the pair of fox ears sitting on top of the small girls head. "Oh how cute!"

Catherine had exclaimed excitedly reaching over without warning or even asking she grabbed onto the ears gently. Rubbing the insides of them with her thumbs she had a huge smile on her face. Till finally her brain caught up with her as to what she had done without asking glancing down she saw Shadow seemed a bit surprised about her actions. "Oh," giggling a little bit and feeling embarrassed by her own selfish acts she pulled her hands back to her side. "Sorry about that, it seems I jumped ahead a bit on that one." Turning her face to look away a slight pink blush had formed upon her cheeks showing just as much embarrassment she truly felt at the time.

Now that Kuromai had finally got himself dry from the water the black cat looked around noticing a woman behind the bar, as well as two dogs as he would consider them to close for comfort he decided to move himself. Leaping down and landing with grace the cat scampered across the floor and over to the couch. Leaping up on the back he walked along the top of it and sat himself down. Curling his tail around himself the cat looked up his master with feelings of hate though it wouldn't show through his cat like face. His right ear twitching almost as if he heard something that he shouldn't have but then again most animals had this kind of sense and it faded after only a second.

Watching the she wolf fade behind the doors Kale looked around once again seeing the taller of the two new guest grab a hold of the shorter ones ears his face scrunched and questioned it. The pair of ears he noticed was just like the flash he had saw when he had arrived. 'I must be physic,' his thoughts told him. Trixie coming back with his water he turned his attention back on her with a smile as he took the water bottle from her. Listening to her ask about him staying for dinner and listening to her tell him what it would consist of he just smiled kindly and nodded. "If it's your cooking then I don't see why not."

Seeing as the mistress of the fine home was washing up a few dirty glasses Kale knew he would have to talk to her about payment for his stay. "Excuse me a moment and thanks." He spoke to the she wolf as he looked to her and tilted his water bottle in gratitude. Taking his leave he walked over to the bar and sat himself down in one of the stools, addressing Eve he pulled the towel from his head and sat it down in his lap. "Perhaps a moment of your time my lady." He spoke out to her, his terms of language occasionally would seem a bit outdated but most people paid no mind to it.

Reaching into his back pocket he pulled out a small pouch of Silver coins. Not touching them but only the pouch he squeezed a few of them out and onto the counter before looking up to her. "Is this a good payment here." He wasn't sure if the currency was the same as he carried on him or if his coin was to foreign but it was all he had. If she was to say no he would either have to work for the girl or find work in the town to pay off his stay. He found himself not to found of the thought but he wouldn't except a hand out given to him he would pay one way or another for the kind service she had provided for him.

-Trixie smiled to Kale as he took his leave from her presence. She nodded her head before turning back to the kitchen to finish making dinner. Slowly the smells of dinner cooking wafted into the air filling the whole lower level with the smell of her cooking.-

With her left arm around her stomach, to her right elbow touching her arm, to her right hand now touching the choker that laied on her neck. Shadows fox ears slowly perked up to the new energy and vibes that were now in the room. Smell and the taste of the vibes that Shadow was able to see belong to two wolves. Male and female, which were very interesting but yet totally different from each other as if they belong to different tribes. Followed, by a girl who she has not met just yet. Hearing the movements, Shadow was then caught off by Catherines stunt. Feeling the soft warms fingers that were now touching her soft ears, and the soft skin that was inside portion of the ear. Shadow froze. For the fact, no one has ever dared touched her ears. Not even her two brothers and her step sister, who at one time tried to cut her fox ears. But that was another story that will be told another time.

With, such oddness, Shadows hazel eyes quietly staired at Catherines eyes. they seemed to be tranced by her ears till something had finally connected jer brain. Giving a small laugh, to shaking of the head. Shadow playing swished her right hand, as a friendly guesture. "No....no...it cool. i dont mind..i mean" she said softly. Gently pulling on her right fox ear "sometimes i do the same thing. They are pretty cute" giving a small laugh, at the thought of what Catherine had said.

Lowering her hands, to now placing them in her pockets, Shadows nose had now picked up some food smell. Slowly tilting her head upwards to give her nose more of taste of the food. Shadow gave a small smile then looked to the girl "Smells yummy. Havent eaten in 2 months." She said with a small smile. Followed by another question for Catherine "so, you from around here??" tilting her head at the thought.

Meanwhile...
As the black that Gwee was now eyeing with his beady eyes. Watch the black cat move closer to the couch. With his head motion ever so slowly, was now full body turned, Facing the lazy cat. Watching it, watching its owner, till it made a small sound that resembled to a frog.
