Emerald Seed is an old Chance Item. It's in the Special tab. Hemlock is in the game tab and is used for alchemy

If you open the Emerald Seed each option has a percentage of the chance of getting an item. The lower the percent the better the item but less chance of being successful. The best items are only 10% success rate and failed attempt gets you an Expired which is sold for 7k. You can sell it on the MP for more but I don't think many people are buying it since there's so many on the market now.
