haha it's always better in it's native country......except McDonalds. I like it here more than the U.S. for some reason.
Australia? I was up in Townsville last summer for a couple of months for work.
For me.....I'll say the way people interact over here. Everyone is nice and honest. For example I left my phone on a bench at the beach, I go back the next day and it's still in the exact spot I left it.

I find the McDonald's soft-serve ice creams are much better in Japan than in Australia. The cones are better and don't taste like cardboard.
Oh, my, Townsville isn't exactly well-known for its classy behaviour. It's like redneck county for Australia.
I love the amount of respect. I was given an umbrella when I had to walk outside for a few minutes at my Japanese university, and they random students took me out to a festival and made sure I got home safely. I could have have been a serial killer for all they knew xD
