First account was in 04 I believe, but I ditched Gaia the next day my friends forced me to create the account..

Though just recently took a hiatus of 2 years...? Glad to be back tho XD

I just took a hiatus for about a year and a half. I only logged on for occasional events and so I wouldn't lose the account. I got back on like two months ago! Definitely was a shock to see all the change though.

I got sooo lucky... I think in the week I got back that they temp closed inactive accounts...
Had to get all my mules back. It was a pain in the butt >_<

And yeaaaah! I remember I was with a RL friend that I dragged to Gaia. And I was boasting on how I could play the zomg earlier than her since my earliest account was an 04 XD

My parents had a strict internet limit at the time, though, so I was never able to save up gold for items back when they were cheap.
Oh well!

Gaia is a great way to practice investing though. The marketplace runs the same way as the market in society. Invest in something with gold on gaia, keep it for a while, and resell it at it's new market value. Some items gain value, others lose value. It's all a matter of looking at patterns in values, consumerism, and item demands and then making predictions based off those trends.
