I have a mac myself.
I find that just hitting the Delete key on the keyboard doesn't work.
You have to go in to Edit and hit the Clear button.

Sorry if it sounds rude.
And I am a beginner in making these graphics I've only made one..
But what sort of tools did you use to make that graphic.
Like combining a lot of images, and using frames. Are they brushes?!

And putting images into a shape. LOL!

how do i put it into a PNG and cut it.
i don't even know what that means but a friend told me i should do it.

@ Paecoc - I have no idea how to do pngs. :c
You'll have to get help from elli or one of the others for that cause I'm still trying to figure that part out myself.

You download them into a folder like you do brushes
Open that folder
Click, drag, and drop into gimp

depends on what you mean by png
if you mean make it into a png file then just save it as .png

if you want to make your image into a transparent png then...
first select your imagine with the lasso tool (I recommend doing it zoomed in with the polygon lasso tool to get into the details) or the magic wand (not recommended)
then go to inverse selection
delete
you have transparent png

How does one put words in an image nicely without it looking like you vomited on the image?
Cause I feel like being lazy and coding lyrics and stuff into an image instead of doing it in a post....

EDIT- Also, how do you get the cool little images like ❥ and ❖ to work in text boxes?
It always says I don't have anything on the clipboard to paste when I know I've copied them....

what do you mean words? like entire lyrics? because if you add too much words, it'll look like vomit. if it is a line or two, just mix up the text.

if this is what you mean.

for me, to add symbols, you have to have just a normal, default text, then go and right click -- once your text is open -- and manually put in paste. no ctrl anything. but that's just my computer.
