I've been left hanging a lot.
Sometimes not even thanked at all.
Still, I like giving, so it's not wholly discouraging,

I'm preggo! My baby doesn't like meat. Not the smell or the taste. It really sucks cause my favorite food is cheeseburgers! I've been reduced to rice and veggies.

I can't help it -- It hurts for me to just walk away when
I know how happy that person will be when they get
a gift for like.. A special occasion or just something
to brighten their mood up. Y'know? But, I know what

So do I.
I don't even acknowledge the people who pop in saying stuff like,
"Oooh I want gifts!" or "I like receiving."

I've seen that way too much and it's obvious they're taking advantage of generous people.
I've been gifting since the week of Thanksgiving.
I usually start around that time anyways, but this year, I've already gifted a ton.
Since I usually aim to help people in their wishlists or quests, or both,
I usually run out of gold after a few days, sometimes less.
Then I sell stuff I don't use or want, so I can gift more.
I really like to give, it's fun and it feels good to help other people.
There's always that side of me that gets excited for people's reactions.
But when people don't thank me, I make a mental note not to gift them ever again.
