Yeah, i used to do that too. Lol. You're sliding scale is in case you hit your goal, you keep making new goals for yourself.

Adventuring Duck

What I see right there is a prisoner...

40. And I'll start officially on January 1. c:
My shelf.

...Who's sitting on top of the keys.
This is a good idea. I could use this challenge to clear out a bunch of novels I've been meaning to read and haven't gotten around to.

I'll start off with a solid 50 and see what I can do with that.

Good. It was really good and I didn't even hit any slow spots.
Which is always good.

it's very very good, and written similarly to the style of the hunger games (an amazing book that if they screw up the movie, im gonna have to hurt some lionsgate people) and it's set somewhere in the future, where you dont choose your husband/wife through love or anything, the government analyzes your dna to see where you would be most compatible. like, to make strong kids and all. and youre only allowed to have two- any more is a fine. but the main character, cassia, falls in love with an abberation, ky, and so on and so forth. here--- http://matched-book.com/news.html

it's pretty cool, the site :3 if i do say so myself
There's nothing in particular that I can think of right now that I want to start with, but there are several series that my friends want me to read so they have someone to talk to about it, lol. The Sookie Stackhouse Chronicles is one of them, along with House of Night and A Song of Ice and Fire. I should probably make a list instead of closing my eyes and pointing when I start, heh.

oh! That does sound good. Like the opposite of hunger games. I'll probably put that on my list for this year!

The Sookie Series was good, I was lucky enough to get the books before I ever saw the show. The others sound vaguely familiar.
I'm pretty sure House of Night is a vampire series as well. A Song of Ice and Fire is the Game of Thrones series. I actually read the first one a while ago before the series came out. It's just a matter of reading the next three. The writing style can be . . . tiresome sometimes so I can't just sit and read it all in one go like I can other books.
