Hermes slumbered with his lover in his arm Dyrope a beautiful arcading Nymph. He had come across Dyrope after she had been abandoned by her sisters. There was a painful story behind it, but The young god never brought it up. It was hard to keep neutral given the situation that had a occurred. There was a shrieking reminder of who had been involved. A toddler shrieked with delight beside them gnawing on a wooden toy. Hermes turned over looking at the infant it wasn’t his son. His son was already growing in the Nymphs belly. No this child’s golden eyes gave the father away. Amphissus was the child’s name and a constant reminder what Apollo had done to Dyrope. “Amphissius …don’t ..; I’m not getting you another ...o-…one “Hermes warned the child as the baby boy bit off the leg of the wood Lion. He turned to Dyrope carefully he tucked the nymphs hair behind her ear and kissed her cheek gently. Then the god tended to the child “Monster ….yes you Monster come here “Hermes said pulling Amphissus on to his lap. He summoned up some breakfast immediately the boys little mitts were in the bowl of meat munching away. Hermes laughed “Don’t forget to breathe monster “
His schedule was going to be packed for the day. The Olympics were coming up and he had an obligation to Hephaestus to help prepare it. He had spent the last few weeks delivering invitations and gathering equipment setting it up. The small peaceful moments with the future mother of his child was an escape from work. Amphissus her other son seemed to like him well enough. Hermes gave the child toys using the child for practice in order to decide what father he would be.

Hephaestus
God of Forge and Fire, Commander of all weapons of his creation.

To some it would have seemed like strange and slightly cruel sight, a large muscular man apparently being bullied by several women in the water. But to those who knew Hephaestus and his relationship with sea nymphs would think the scene quiet funny. "Come now, Hephaestios! Is that the best you can do?" The nearest sea nymph asked with a smile. Hephaestus faked a glare as the nymph suddenly sprung herself on him then transformed into a wave. The fire god spat out the salty water and attempted to wipe the sting from his eyes. "You girls are going much too easy on him." Said a woman's voice that he knew all too well, Kabeiro, the mother of the Cabeiri. Or as the children of Hephaestus and the sea nymph were known by the local islanders, the mysteries. "Polo, come help me drown your father." The sea nymph called out. Sure enough a beautiful young woman with long dark wavy hair swam over from the shore. "Hi Daddy." The woman said as she swam to Hephaestus to give him a kiss on his unshaven cheek, "Are those what you'll be using for the tournament?" Polo asked glancing as two gold rings on the god's fingers. Hephaestus nodded his head, "Yeah. Just today is the final test run. So whenever you're ready." Polo nodded her head, Kabeiro only smirked. On the count of three the sea nymphs created a large wave of which had never been seen in Lemnos it came crashing down on Hephaestus sending him deep below the sea. The purpose of the exercise was to test out the gold rings Hephaestus had made for the tournament, with the rings the gods participating would be able to use all the power they had in their true forms while staying in their secondary form.
The sea nymphs went over to the shore and waited anxiously for the fire god's return. He had instructed them to make way to shore once he was completely submerged. The water began to boil violently, streams of magma shot into the air and floated up to the ocean's surface. Steam could be seen all the way to ocean's horizon as the water's temperature climbed higher and higher. After several minutes a land mass rose out of the ocean and connected to the island of Lemnos. There stood Hephaestus on the new land which stretched out hundreds of feet. However much of it could not be seen in the darkness of the night. Hephaestus spat out a guppy before stomping over to the land where the Nymphs sat. The fire god pushed his short black hair from his face as it began to curl, usually he used wax to keep it slicked back and out of the way. "Well they work. I think. I didn't tap too far in, being an elemental and all." Hephaestus said with a shrug, an unrestained fire would be dangerous no matter where the setting. "Anyway. Good night ladies. I'm going to get some sleep tonight or this morning whatever the hell this late hour is." Hephaestus grumbled as he kissed the cheek of Polo and gave Kabeiro a tender embrace. He then turned into a guard dog before running off and disappearing in a pillar of flames. Hephaestus appeared inside his home, his head was down low as he walked around his home. The last thing he wanted was to run into his wife. While it was true they had no affection for one another, Aphrodite could be very emotional at times especially in times of pregnancy. That much Hephaestus had learned. But then again when wasn't the goddess of love emotional. Incognito in my own home, what have I become. Hephaestus thought to himself as at the moment he looked like one of his many guard dogs that often patrolled the home. He trotted over to the bedroom door which swung open for him silently as he attempted to sneak into the room and go under the bed unnoticed.

Eros just woke up from is slumber in his castle in the mortal world, he had been living here after Zeus finally gave him the title of the God of love. Eros knew he hurt his mother a lot when he accepted the title, not his mother giving it to him. After their last talk about what Eros did to Persephone, his mother and Eros’s relationship had become strained. He had to work under his mother as the god of love, not that he wanted too but it was reasonable, his mother’s responsibility of making people fall in love transferred to him. And Eros was happy to be doing something he wanted.

Sitting up from the bed, he looked to the side to see a man beside his bed. his grayish-blue eyes looked at his prone form covered in a silk blanket. Eros was a lover of anything beautiful but now he had awoken to troubling thoughts, not a nice thing to wake up on. Standing up nude from the bed and putting on his clothes he walked outside to see the sun rising he looked at the sun and smiled. Well a new day of work, getting to meet people and making them fall for someone, that was nice, but he had to be invisible when he was working, as the humans think of Eros as a normal human being, they didn’t know he was a god that was among them. Eros haven’t lived in Olympus once his home in the mortal world was finished, it’s a way not to see his mother.

Eros left the window, kissed his lover and went to scribble a note then picked up his bow and arrows and left he room. He went to get some fruit and something to eat, sat by the window and ate his breakfast. After he finished, Eros left his home and set off to do his work, ah two people first thing. Eros took his golden arrow and pulled back and let go, he was invisible so they won't look at him. After aiming rightly Eros let go, the arrow went to hit the man who fell for the woman, and Eros smiled as he flew away. Zeus giving him wings was a nice thought; he could call or hide his wings at will, after all how could he do his work if he was stuck on the ground. Eros smiled as he concentrated more on his work.

After a great work that day, Eros arrived home to see his lover not there but there was a note saying that he had to go and be at work, Eros smiled as he went to put his gold and lead arrows away and picked up a quiver of original arrows and placed it on his person. He was going hunting, he had to learn how to hunt after starving himself for days. Now he was a good hunter but not that great. After wearing something warm, he left his house again and headed to a nearby forest to hunt some deer.

Arriving at the forest and hiding his wings so they don’t cause unnecessary problems, he set off to hunt something to eat. He walked calmly that was until he chanced upon a woman in the forest, he stared as he frowned, why was a woman here? He stepped on a rock but it came loose, Eros cried as he fell down and skidded just a a little but landed on his backside, he groaned

”That wasn’t gracefull at all,” Eros said and remembered where he were and turned to look at her. ”Hello, miss, may I ask what are you doing here in this forest?”

Eros then waited for her answer as he stood up brushing the snow from his coat, he was waiting for his answer.

Prince Adonis of Assyria
Mortal God of Male Beauty

Adonis forced a small smile then shook his head. "I'd rather tell you where I'm going, handsome." He said as he stood up and still maintained the body language of a woman. "Care to escort me to Athens, I wasn't planning on traveling until the sun rose but you seem strong enough to guide a poor girl all on her own." Adonis said with a slight pout as he walked closer to Eros, when he saw the man in the moonlight, he instinctively took a step back. It didn't take a genius to see the resemblance the man had to Aphrodite, the same woman whom he had just escaped. Adonis felt a lump in his throat but his appearance didn't falter. His eyes glanced at the bow an arrows then gave Eros a wink. "My name's Lola by the way, don't be shy. I don't bite too hard." Adonis giggled then shrugged his shoulders. "Maybe you'll find out in Athens."

Eros finished dusting himself, and turned to face “Lola”, he looked at the ground making sure his clothes did not have any tear. Then he removed his coat and put it around her and then looked at the sky, it was still some time before sunlight.

”That is not problem to me,” Eros said to her. ”but my Carriage is not here. let’s go to my home, and get my carriage the I will bring you to Athens.”

Eros coud practically smell his mother off him, and he wanted to avoid anything to do with his mother, the moment this woman was in athens, then the better he won't meet his mother, he looked at her.

”is that amendable to you?,” Eros asked as he turned to look at her, having no contact with his mother in 100 years, he did not know all the news, but he did know, in the gossip society, how Aphrodite fell for this man named Adonis. Eros pretended he didn’t care but he was still hurt from what Aphrodite said. If Eros met Adonis then he wouldn’t know what to say to him But knowing its not his fault then he would be a little courteous to him.

Prince Adonis of Assyria
Mortal God of Male Beauty

The prince frowned slightly, "Is Athens really that far off?" He asked with an honest pout as he thought of the distance. He shivered and held the coat tightly around him. Adonis had never experienced a full on winter. He had always been in the underworld with Persephone during the season. Not to mention winter never really effected Assyria. "Er, that's alright actually. I know my way from here." Adonis said quickly not in a hurry to go to the home of a demigod or anything related to the gods in reality. He feared the idea of losing his freshly found freedom. He didn't want to find himself in the confines of walls. The prince sighed softly then began walking in the direction the strange young man with his swan carriage had pointed to before he had been hurtled out of the carriage. Out of habit Adonis stayed in character as he put distance from himself and the blonde man, his hips swung as naturally as a woman's if not more graceful. Adonis did after all learn from the best. Looking around at the forest he felt strangely out of place. The native trees weren't like the ones he knew. It was a feeling he quickly was starting to enjoy. Adonis knew at one he wouldn't stay in Athens, he wanted to travel and see where ever he could. "It was nice meeting you, I guess." Adonis called back as he remembered he had left someone behind.

Eros sighed as he watched her leave, she was a bit too headstrong to be a woman, he sighed as he set off after the woman and fell into line beside her. Eros found a rather troublesome woman. He looked at her and shook his head.

”You know you cant walk all the way in Athens, you’ll tire on the way here, I wanted to get my carriage o it will be easier for you,” Eros told her. ”Its a thousand miles that way, if you walk to Athens its going to take you days, that’s why I wanted to get my carriage, though the moment we reach Athens then that is where we will separate, I am avoiding someone there, someone I don’t want to meet.”

Eros looked down on the ground as he continued to walk to Athens, for Eros walking to Athens was not a problem for him. But it could be for this human over here, that’s why Eros wanted to get the carriage so they could get to the day faster. Hmm, perhaps when she was asleep then he’ll fly her to Athens then head away, that could be a great plan.

Persephone
of the Underworld

|| lol I was too lazy to make a nice post. ||

Persephone sighed with heavy regret as she turned over the note sitting by her bed. It's always like this, and yet I let it go on. I don't know what I want anymore. She frowned. She always got her way down here, and maybe that's why she was so depressed when she went up from time to time. She was lavished with anything she wanted. Nothing was too much for the dear Persephone.
The hour was drawing near, she could feel it in her toes. As soon as she went back up, she would grow again, her hair going back to the light shade it once knew and her eyes would light up, alive again. She would flourish like a beautiful flower and enjoy the time she had up there, she knew it. Still, it was always sad to have a farewell to her second home, something that over time she grew fond of.
Sitting up, she couldn't decide how she wanted to leave. Should she just save her husband the time and walk out or should she at least acknowledge that he should know, even though he always did. It ate away at her that her selfishness caused Adonis to stay, and even though he was arrogant, he was quite beautiful and she couldn't give him up. She liked beautiful things, flowers aside. Adonis was gorgeous. That, and she refused to loose to Aphrodite.

Prince Adonis of Assyria
Mortal God of Male Beauty

"A thousand?" Adonis questioned before taking a coin purse out of his sleeve. He opened the purse and peered inside there were hundreds of gold coins in the silk purse. It would have been heavy for the average mortal. However Adonis had been in weighted clothing all his life he was a surprisingly strong mortal. Adonis reached inside the purse and pulled out a gold coin. He wasn't the smartest of princesses or the wisest. "Well let's see I believe my.." Adonis paused as he wasn't sure what to call the king of Assyria, for all his life he knew the king to be the king and he to be the prince. But oddly enough there was never any relation of the two spoken within the castle. "Well who he is isn't important. But I do remember hearing there are a thousand copper pieces to a Gold drachma." Adonis had never in his life seen a copper piece. "And Gold drachma isn't rare or anything...soo... Athens is closer than I thought." Adonis decided with a satisfied smile. He wasn't curious about who it was the young man was avoiding. If anything he was in a hurry to get away from the male he could see was related to Aphrodite.

Eros heard what he said and he gave a sweatdrop, wondering what has gone into the woman’s head. He shook his head as he looked at her, this woman must have lived a sheltered life, using the thought of money for distance.

”Lola, When you reach Athens where do you want to go?” Eros asked her. ”I can leave you once I know you are safe in Athens.”

Eros looked at her and continued to walk to Athens with her, once she was tired and fell asleep then he would bring her to Athens and leave her in an inn, then he would leave Eros would be on his way. That way he won't have to meet his mother in herr temple more than necessary that is.
