Ladies Ward and Guildhall Ward Border - Some time later.

XXXXXXAs Heita was looking up into the sky before him, the Humvee came to a screeching halt. All traffic did once catching sight of the next ********! storm arose in Sigil. Amidst the chaos Heita heard the vibration of his phone, snapping him back into reality and allowing him to catch the tail end of Lucid requesting where the helicarrier was.

Darkest Silver

Hey, sorry about wandering off. Had work to do. =)
Meet me by the old community centre in the Hive, should be easy to find. On corner of randy ave.
<3

XXXXXXWhelp Jay seemed to be okay. That was a relief. It meant that he could keep a clear head and keep true to the pact he had made himself. Right now there were civilians and pedestrians affected by the backlash of one selfish individual. He wanted to help. He didn't understand Lucid's plan but Heita felt that regardless of Lucid's personal intentions, that he had hit the nail on the coffin. They were going to need all of SAHC for this.

XXXXXXA few inputs in and the O.W.L. had been sent on a reconnaissance mission to get a live feed relayed to the SAHC Humvee. Several more inputs later and Heita was dispatching the helicarrier to prepare for a full ship warp. Turning to face his partner, Heita was sliding his hands across his touchscreen phone. Sorry Babe... going to be a little. Send. " We need access to a big portal..." This was Heita's reply to Lucid before standing on his seat and peeking his head out through the sunroof.

XXXXXXPandemonium was rampant as civilians fled on foot between the beast of burden and assortment of vehicles. Things were too wild for just them to handle and it was about to get worse as the swarm of screaming civilians were now exciting the normally docile and well trained beast. Heita looked back into the Humvee at the two within it. "We need to move...now..."
Near the The Bravot Company Library:
Confused, but in the company of a man named Arthur

Hitomi's words seemed to be taken with a bit of relief, as the armored men around her seemed to relax, and the one who seemed to be in charge nodded at her in appreciation. She meant what she said, she had no ill intentions, least of all to resist whatever force was the keeper of the peace in this place. Though if she deemed it necessary, she would have defended herself. Thankfully that wasn't necessary. At least not yet.

The man named Arthur nodded instructed her to follow him, and she did so without reservation, though Kali seemed quite unhappy about the situation. The creature glared at the men that followed them and smoke billowed from her nostrils. Hitomi could feel heat building on her neck and back where the creature rested, and she whispered in a quick voice.“Lyms ouincamv.” Heading her words, the creature lowered its head, and the smoking ended.

Hitomi looked to Arthur as he explained the going ons at the building tops, but she was still confused. Naruto, she didn't know. Ninjas she did. Crafty and creative combatants, deadly if underestimated. She admired them. The subject of herself though. Well, that was something else altogether. Arthur seemed to be questioning her, and she figured it best to be as honest as she could without revealing anything that might make her vulnerable to another's machinations.

“Bravot Library?” Her eyes cut back to the large building ahead, where she could sense unique energies in the surroundings. She assumed that was the place. “That...wasn't my intention. In fact, I'm quite unsure of how I arrived here. Our memory is a bit fuzzy about that.” She raised a hand in dismissal at the offer for food, but continued to walk with Arthur and their escort. “It wasn't by my own power that I arrived here, so I can think of only one that could have sent me here. And if that is the case, there may be something I'm meant to do. She laughed to herself, a sound like wind chimes, before her face became more serious.

“Knowing as much as I do about the situation now, I must ask; where are you taking me?"

XXXXXX"If my information's correct, we can turn the whole damn sky into a portal large enough to drop the Helicarrier." Lucid said, observing the panicking citizens of Sigil with a sense of pity. "Thomas Bravot knows about our Helicarrier. I recall him mentioning it when I asked him how he knew about us. According to him, the last Helicarrier that's flown on Gaia was some years ago, and you're the first Nick Fury he's seen in a while. Lucid reached over to the on-board GPS of the Leatherback and began to delete a few markers he previously set. Some of the Goblin camps surrounding the Nighthawk Establishment began to vanish from the radar. With a few more taps of his fingers, the GPS acknowledged directions from their current position to the Nighthawk

XXXXXX"He also mentioned having access to technology that can generate portals, some valuable tech we're gonna need if we're gonna get the Helicarrier here. This super-chaos explosion in the sky may have just given us the cover we need to get our hands on Bravot's stash of information, but we need to move before something worse happens and we get caught in the maelstrom."

XXXXXXI felt sorry for the panicking populous. I recalled much of that conversation I had with Thomas Bravot, a man whom on the surface spoke out against these very events happening before us. Yet, somewhere deep within me, I had a gut wrenching feeling that our employer had a degree of responsibility to do with this. I wasn't sure what I was witnessing, but I began to become curious as to if it were some sort of accident, a malfunctioning science project or some sort of magic experiment gone wrong? The common may may look at this as the End of Days. I look at it as some fool trying to play God. And I couldn't be certain what was happening until my tech team arrived to analyze the energy output. Heita was right, we needed to move and fast.

XXXXXX"We're set to go..." Said Lucid as he leaned back into his seat. "Let's get what we need before Frieza transforms and Gurren Lagann is staring at us from space."

XXXXXXHeita swiped the coordinates off the dashboard and onto his cell. Macrohard seamless technology, for the agent on the go. Turning to Thalia, Heita' face transformed into one of oh s**t. They had to do something about her. The road behind them had already been blocked off, leaving their only escape to be on foot and through a sea of everything disgusting living abomination Gaia could concoct.

XXXXXXPopping the trunk open of the hatchback Humvee, Heita grabbed Thalia's hand as he maneuvered into the back seat from the front. "Let's go..." He announced to both of her and Lucid as the backseat became flat, allowing them to exit through the trunk. On foot Heita would easily carry Thalia overhead to a part of the street where her being trampled was less likely. "Stay safe... and contact me when you can." Producing a metal card with the emblem of SAHC embossed on it. He forced it on her. All the while showing her the secondary function of the card to act as a two way audio transmitter.

XXXXXXLeaving her there was not what he wanted to do but what he had to do next and where is he was going ...he couldn't take her with him.

XXXXXXI regret crushing my phone. It certainly wasn't the smartest move to make in the face of anger. The source of that anger was, fortunately, being left behind. Heita was best to direct her, and smart to leave her behind. Finally, it was luggage we didn't need. But given my recent feelings, I couldn't just suggest such. We were compromised on multiple fronts. I feel the exposure of my inferiority in ways damn enar foreign to me. All that was on my mind from that point was to make things right, to bring some sense of stability to S.A.H.C. and gain leverage.

XXXXXXLucid got the feeling to look to his left. Across the street, he noticed a cellphone store being looted. Two doors down, another store. He gazed down the street to see more of the crime happening. People were trashing everything, diving into windows and emerging with stolen technology, food, money, and random merchandise they could get their hands on. He turned to his right, seeing much of the same thing happening. Goblins, humans, and other creatures alike. They were all in a panic and commandeering everything they could find. A few bolts of lightning from the distance destroyed more buildings overhead. A few people screamed from the loud boom of thunder and explosive force of disintegrating rubble.

XXXXXX"Looks like we got lucky, partner." Lucid said, turning back to Heita. "The plan I wanted to create with the Goblins has been enacted for us. Once we get to the Nighthawk, we can start a riot outside its doors and overload the scanner system in place. Lead the way. I'll back you up."

Ladies Ward before the Nighthawk. Some Time later.

XXXXXXHeita watched in disgust as the mob fanned out before them. Trampled corpses littered the street of young and old alike. He took care where others didn't. Making sure that his brand wasn't left on those that had fallen. It was utter turmoil.

XXXXXXWith no structure in place, no definitive authority to look to, Sigilites and Sigilians alike had no one to aid them. No one to command and provide order. Causalities were rising exponentially and all the cities defenders were trying to contain the cause. No one was left to help the populace, who in the wake of the crisis had already managed to rack up a higher death toll then the mage who had started all this nonsense.

XXXXXXAs they neared the NightHawk these thoughts occupied Heita's head as he saw that the storefront had already been under attack. Having a minimal understanding of Bravot... Heita was almost certain that what they had hoped to acquire was still safe. "I need the NightHawk to experience some technical difficulties..." From that point on letting Lucid take point as he followed.

XXXXXX"Way ahead of you..." He said stepping before Heita to observe the situation.

XXXXXXNot really. The Nighthawk was a showing of collateral damage but it didn't seem to be a target for looters... yet. Bravot seemed like the kind of man who would have backup generators for a facility housing so much technology such as this. I'd seen a lot of other places with a similar set up. Hell, the Helicarrier has backups to the backups just in case I were to ever overload the system with an EMP in the danger room. I couldn't risk compromising the information we were after by short circuiting Bravot's systems. If I'm right, and he does have backup generators, there wouldn't be enough time for us to slip into the facility before his software would detect us. The Nighthawk already knew who I was. Given Bravot's current information on S.a.H.C. I was sure he knew who Heita was as well. I needed to overload the system in a different way.

XXXXXXHis golden eyes scanned the area quickly, locating a small crowd of people stampeding through the streets. Some of them were carrying hardware from other stores.

XXXXXX"IT'S HIS FAULT!!!" He yelled. "THOMAS BRAVOT IS A FIGUREHEAD AND LEADER OF THIS CITY, AND YET HE'S ALLOWED THIS SITUATION TO HAPPEN!!! WHERE'S OUR PROTECTION!?! I SAY WE TAKE HIS CRAP TOO!!! The people looked a bit confused for a moment. Lucid didn't have time to wait for an answer from them. Instead, he turned to a familiar creature, one of the beasts used to chase the Leatherback down after the shootout in the Dolphin Club. Lucid formed a huge chunk of ice into his right hand the size of a soft ball and pitched it with all his might. It clobbered upon the forehead of the beast, sending it into a wild snarl and a stamping of its feet. He saw Lucid and the crowd and, like a raging bull, charged the crowd as a whole.

XXXXXX"What the hell did you just do!?!" A person screamed within the crowd. The crowd began to scream, all scattering in random directions. There were a few unfortunate people trapped with Lucid in the creature's line of sight. Lucid bolted for the Nighthawk, leading it towards the front door along with half of the crowd. At the last moment, Lucid's boots left the ground as he dove to the side with the beast barreling behind him into the well designed front doors of the Nighthawk. It tore the doors off the hinges, revealing complex wiring and metal behind the frames. Conveniently following their pet property, a few of the Goblins that were accompanying the beast followed it, storming the front door of the Nighthawk after climbing over the downed animal.

XXXXXXMeanwhile, Lucid collected himself and found himself back on his feet. Two of the goblins whom recently entered the building emerged carrying what looked to be expensive art. This caught the attention of more looters, whom all began to funnel their way into the building as well. With a smile, Lucid posed his hands as a guide, locking eyes with Heita in the process.

Julia moved her hands over his, watching him as he felt the baby kick around. Julia gave a bit of a grimace when it landed on the inner walls of her stomach. She laughed a little nervously. "She's got my roundhouse."She chuckled but it was short lived. Julia sat up a little more, looking at him with a furrowed brow. As much as she liked the neutrality of Terrance with the company, it seemed like he wasn't getting the help that he desperately needed. Julia ran her hand along his metal one.

Sometimes she had to remind herself that Terrance was human for the most part, even if combined with the Liger suit. "I thought you would...You need a lot of help...but my only fear is that if someone at Fal'lain Corp finds out about it, you know? You've done a lot there while you're in the middle really helping people instead of playing up the politics. If that's what you want to do...I support you, but it might mean we're both out of a paycheck too..."She frowned, reaching her other hand up to run through his clean dreads. "I'm just overly worried...I don't know if it's the hormones or my own head nowadays..."

Julia shifted so she sat a little sideways, leaning over and hugging his head to her chest, nuzzling his cropped hair. "Do what you think is right."She muttered, kissing the top of his head.

Olympian Retort

Location: The Mage’s Guild – The Center of the Street –
Character: Ertai Vexic
Story: The Return to Oblivion

His thought was instantly interrupted as a vicious beam of energy tore through the side of his face. The searing energy left nothing but a smoldering hole, ichor spraying out in a steamy spray of toxic death; instantly weaving itself back together in the same vicious manner as his previous wounds. Ertai had been grossly unaware of the sniper looming buildings away, yet he wouldn’t be without response to having the side of his head violated. Nonchalantly his body shifted and as he was once facing forward, he was now facing behind him. With a quick thrust of his right hand, he would send a roiling mass of darkness towards the roof top. In another glorious display of energy it contacted the building, sending more debris cascading down upon the evacuating people below. It didn’t matter to Ertai whether or not he killed who had shot at him, it was more reflex and retribution based. In the grand scheme of things in the moment, he had other things to worry about; other game to flay. Despite what would be a fatal wound to most, Ertai operated on a much different pretense than the rest of Sigil; if he could not pilfer energy from Vexa, he would steal it directly from where he stood. The material he used to stitch himself was taken from Sigil itself, reconfiguring the elements and atomic structures to suit his desires. In his current display of power, Ertai was high on confidence, swarming with the various implements of Sigilian history at his fingertips. As he ransacked and drained the Mage’s Guild of its history and secrets, he would soon utilize his new found power to deal with another looming threat that lay out of his sight.

Chaos erupted all around him, the screams and cries of the dead and dying poured through his mind. Each soul that perished was soon whisked away into his collective. Every man and woman held something of use to Ertai, they held every memory of their faction; leaders and agenda. Ertai would use this information instantly, applying these thoughts as if they were natural memories---as if he was them. In the full spectrum of intelligence he had gathered, he knew instantly his time to slip from his impending confines was upon him. Even if only for a moment, his expression changed into an amused look as his mind slithered from his skull, dialing down his exiting strategy. As his mind freed itself, he would still callously and viciously deal with the events before him, first starting with the fiery Psion that shouted to him. As her energy arched through the air at him, he simply misdirect each lash; swatting them away as if they were flies. His unnerving stare continued to bore straight towards her. Ertai could feel all life around him, mapping out the dead from the dying and the strong from the weak. His resonance carved out the physical boundaries that the buildings themselves constructed; finding a tap into his energy.

A snarl rolled over his visage as he felt the barrier around them moving closer and closer to finally being sealed. Ertai could maneuver through Sigil as he desired. A step, be it physical or not, was nothing to him; a minor expenditure of energy in the grand scheme of things. Each soul he consumed fueled his power briefly. It was at this point where he could start feeling the degradation of his power; the pilfering of his freshly consumed souls directly into his Oblivion Gate. For a moment Ertai stood in place and his constructs moved into the fray with their own vicious capabilities.

The first of the ten constructs latched itself onto one of the wounded female UWP soldiers and proceeded to eviscerate her before the terror filled eyes of her comrades. It started with a mass of thin wires pouring from the shifting constructs perceived mouth. These wires instantly peeled back the flesh from her face and unraveled it as if it was string caught in a gear. With a hideous scream the woman found her flesh unwinding before her very eyes, until they themselves were stolen. In a matter of seconds the wires had enveloped and removed all flesh from the body, leaving only a twitching mound of organs and bones. The monstrosity had concurringly stitched itself together as the woman, standing naked for a moment before weaving clothing on as well; in essence becoming the woman it consumed. The vicious construct turned towards another crawling soldier and slid its hand into his head, ripping out his skull and spine in a brutal crimson spray. This happened all around the surviving heroes. These constructs all had the same look in their eyes. A shimmering pale blue gaze much the same as their creator had.

User Image

The monstrosity looked to the large emerald dragon that hammered its way into the fray. All at once the Infiltrators ran off in various directions, pouncing on the retreating soldiers and enforcers. Their flesh masked bodies shifted to reveal bladed implements from any place they desired, their flesh pulling back as the blades and wires ripped others apart. While the Infiltrators where not overtly strong, they were infinitely agile and hard to detain. One of the larger bystanders from a neighboring shop took swing at one of the evil monstrosities, knocking it off of a wounded soldier. The Infiltrator staggered for a moment before its head peeled back to reveal a large blue orb in the center of it. With another mighty swing of his club the man cracked the orb and send a cascading wave of azure energy into the air, yet he didn’t deal a fatal blow. The monstrosity shifted and regained stance, and launched out towards the man, shedding its flesh for a new host. As the flesh of the man before it had melted off, four more of those same orbs swarmed around in the writhing mass of metal, shadows and wires. The large man buckled instantly as its bladed body tore right through him, swimming through his stomach and ripping out of his lower back in a wave like motion, rending the flesh just as quickly as it moved before. In mere moments the body dropped into a mound of organs and bones.

Ertai glanced over at the dragon with an ambivalent eye and with a callous display of power he would rip mentally rip the front of the building off where the construct beast stood. Despite the size of the beast, the vicious rain of debris would prevent the beast from flying away as it most likely intended to. The building itself buckled slightly, revealing the hiding souls inside; with the expulsion of the front of the building, people were launched out as well. He was torn between its utter ruination and corruption. It was in that moment where the Son of Sigil made his move. The construct appeared quickly, but not as quick as Ertai could sense Tres’s use of power. It was in these moments where Ertai wanted to see the child of his enemy succeed and bring him down, yet it was all for naught. As the construct move to strike, Ertai would have none of that. As the construct made contact with Ertai’s head, its hand would seemingly pass right through him; as if catching a ghost. Pausing for a moment, Ertai looked over to Tres and threw his hand upwards. With a crack of energy the ground in front of Tres shot up into a gnarled mass of stone and steel, shaping a wall between the two. As this wall erupted from the ground it created a static discharge which caused the area around Tres to launch up as well; he wanted to cage the Champion of the People long enough to take his prize. This would also become the same fate for James and Gloria. Ertai wanted to capture them as if they were insects for his dissection and study. The walls moved as liquid, climbing higher and higher and shifting more and more to complete the full circle of containment. At a height of about twenty feet the walls came arching back downwards to crush the heroes alive. Ertai knew they would most likely escape, as he desired them to---after all he wanted to obtain them one by one. As he moved closer and closer to Red, the Outsider stepped in. With an agitated roll of his shoulders, his back instantly became his front, as he stood staring once again at the devil.

Ertai watched the devil with an unamused glare, yet it mattered not. It was Ertai’s intention to consume the Outsider when the time was right; much the same as every alliance the smoldering God ever had. In the grand scheme of things, no life would exist---even his own. This spiraling logic fed into his constant and incessant madness. He desired nothing more than to push his agenda further into action. All around him his mind was at work, from his vicious constructs to the potential containment and crushing of those who opposed him, yet this devil would make an attempt to stifle his attempt at control. In the grand scheme of things very little had effect on Ertai and the Warp was one of those things. Despite the seemingly endless universes and multiverses of the Omniverse, Ertai had never encountered the Warp until he had stepped for on Sigil. It was during the HARD TIMES, where Ertai learned how to deal with the power it had and the detrimental effects of it. As the Warp Lightning arched out at him, Ertai begin to separate himself from his body in a beautiful display of power. The energy struck his physical frame as if peeling off his flesh, Ertai separated. His physical form split into two beings, one pushing itself from the other and one taking the brunt of the attack. As the sickly green energy ran over the physical manifestation of Ertai, something begun to change. He latched onto the Outsiders power as if it was his own, his mind working in overdrive. It could only be explained as sections of chain breaking and reconnecting. His mind broke away from the core of the collective and latched back once again; over and over it repeated. He knew the damning power of the Warp and how it affected his mental construct; he wouldn’t allow it to beguile his objectives. This constant chain of disconnecting and reconnecting was what allowed him to retain himself in the attack. Each soul that connected was instantly corrupted by the Warp, yet he continued to feed into it with the lost souls of the Sigilian fallen. Ertai reveled in the madness for a moment before tearing himself away from it. As far as the Outsider could make out, Ertai was pulling himself from his own being. As once green energy soon became azure and in an explosion of radiant energy composed from the very foundation of his collective---the quintessence of reality was spreading itself into a various mixture of negative energy, electricity and redirected energy from the Warp. Throwing his arms outwards he would expel himself from his former physical frame and send a shock wave of this powerful and perverted energy outwards to any around him. The shock wave would daze those who were wise enough to brace for it, any unassuming souls who didn’t defend would be wiped away in a perversion of ash and Warp corruption.

User Image

Pausing for a moment after he separated from himself; his first physical form stood holding the brunt of the Warp Lightning in place, his body twisting in the perversion of the energy---Ertai would return his eyes to Red. His second, translucent form would begin to materialize; negating his first form into a hollowed form. As the Warp Lightning tore through the ghostly image where he once was, Ertai would begin his exit. His energy was waning more and more with each passing moment, especially weakened after redirecting the energy from the Warp. His exit would be simple.

With a swipe of his hand he would take the world around Red. She would begin to feel the very area she stood in pause, almost as if frozen in time. His mind spoke to her, slithering through her like whispers in the wind.

”You will be mine-

Bolting forward Ertai would look as if he was running directly at Red. As soon as his first step made contact with the battered cobble below, his shadowy form launched forward until he was directly beside her. His shadowy image still appeared to be feet in front of Red; this was where he took control of her. Reaching around violently he would snatch her by her hair and bring his right arm cocking around, aiming to strike her directly in the side of the head. As he aimed to daze the young psion a vicious tear in the reality of Sigil occurred as a portal spliced its way to formation. On the other side of the portal to those who were familiar would see where Dithakar was. The barrier building elder would notice the tear in fabric as a crude portal opened up next to him, just outside of the barrier restraints. With a violent thrust he aimed to toss Red through the portal; looking back he bellowed out with laughter as his constructs moved towards the center, aiming to clean up the heroes in a vicious display of death.

”Oblivion will claim this world as it has claimed everything before it… Nothing is permanent---Nothing.”

With that he walked through the portal, sealing it behind him. Looking over at the Dithakar, Ertai would do nothing but smile as he lurched over to snatch up his quarry once more. Gripping the blonde by her hair he would begin to casually walk down the street towards Bravot’s establishment, calling out to the Librarian as well through the mental links that bound his collective.

”We are coming Bravot-“

As Ertai exited from his impending capture, the Infiltrators moved in to clean up what he left behind. Each one resembling one of Tres’s fallen comrades---aiming to hammer in more emotional pain. In the chaos one of the Infiltrators was directed to do something else; it was directed to act wounded. The Infiltrator appeared to be a young man trapped under the debris from one of the explosions, whimpering and crying out as if in shock of dying. Ertai wanted eyes inside of the UWP and an easy way to access it.

The stage had been set, and now it was time for the pawns to move.

User Image

With a smile he continued to walk, grossly aware of his shadowy watchers and the old Dithakar near him. It would be upon them to engage in fools errand and bring more destruction upon the city they wished to save. It mattered not to Ertai, he still has much to do; much to procure. He walked Sigil like an Olympian God---amused at the panic and intrigue displayed from the people who stared upon him in wonder; unaware of what he had just done not blocks away from here. Dragging the blonde woman would be something else entirely, most of the suspecting people gave him a wide birth, not wanting to get involved.

Looking down to Red he would tear into her mind to awaken her, tossing her head forward towards the ground.

"I will flay you before Bravot can if you make an attempt to flee; as you know it is a futile attempt."

He smiled a wicked smile and soon he would have what resided inside of her-

Akako & Crystal

::The Hive - Empyrae::

The vixen could pick up each audible click on the cane to tile as Ursan approached the room from the hall. Akako's red eyes watched the door with anticipation and as soon as he knocked, her lips curled into a smile. Ursan stepped through the threshold and the void kitsune could immediately tell he was drained. Akako moved around the couch and fell in place at Ursan's side. Her expression was something of concern as her left hand found the crook of his right elbow. If the cane wasn't enough support, Akako would offer herself as an additional crutch. He had helped her once or twice before, so she would gladly offer the same.

Her gaze was cast forward as she took in the appearing image before her. Tresondros she recognized, the other was a stranger. It was unclear as to what was happening before her, but she trusted that whatever Ursan planned was well worth it. There was a twinge of pull as she felt Red's presence from beyond the image. Something was certainly off about it. She couldn't see Red quite yet, but it was clear she was in the mix. The fox's curiosity was peaked even before Ursan would speak of his plan.

Akako dragged her eyes away from the image to look up to Ursan. Her gaze softened as he gave them their options. "But of course Ursan. So long as you listen to my request upon our return. I am sure Crystal will join us on this venture." Akako turned her head to peer over her shoulder at the red head that was now standing. The vixen gave the young woman and meaningful look before turning her attention forward again. "Yeah, yeah... I'll come. Hartia... you'll join us as well right?" Crystal moved to approach Hartia. The women both looked like they were escorting the lich and the Cambion.

As Akako looked back to the image, Red's presence was gone. Her brows drew together in concern. In Ursan's realm, her power wasn't easily accessible. The pendant around her neck glowed a dull red as she strained to extend her mind through the image. Pain in her temples stopped any further attempt. From what Akako could tell, Ursan was going to take them to the disaster area. Slender digits tightened just slightly at where Ursan's bicep would have been had he been a whole man. Even though he was not of the fleshy stuff, Akako felt comfort gripping the cloth.

"James! Catch me!".

James looked up at Gloria's cry. Almost instinctively he started to gauge where she would land, and backpedaled to catch her.

Right into the pile of rubble he just left.

Tripping right as Gloria landed in his arms, James found himself laying in it in a heap once more, although, in a decidedly better situation then earlier.

Squeeze~

Shaking off the dust and aches with a grunt, he looked down at the woman in his arms.

"I think you've gained some weight since I've last seen you" he quipped, before pushing her off and getting to his feet again.

He looked off at the distance, where Ertai and his forces were clashing with the efforts of the various heroes, anti-heroes, and villians who was trying to stop him.

"I'm going to need a bigger sword" James remarked as he drew his combat knife and his Daemonslayer's Tome, unlatching the text from around his hip.

Kalmuli had not been long after Ertai's fairly impressive display. Fairly, only because there was always something in the universe that could do so much better. She had left the Dark Swan and had made her way to the event to find the area around the Mage Guild very much eviscerated. However, her interest wasn't so much in the destruction but more or less the being that caused it. Ertai...She licked her lips perversely out of the excitement of it all. What would happen when the Great Absolute met Fate? The only thing that they could: Either talk or boast to which one or the other would get annoyed enough. Kalmuli's steps were like the steps of an immortal juggernaut. The clicks of her boots in the torn up streets sounding as if time and it's composition wavered, unweaving and remaking itself to form stones again. Kalmuli never truly stepped on what was there, just whatever 'fate' that structure was meant to have.

Ertai stood with the blind little psionic girl's hair in his grasp and her head under the dark of her hood, tilted just to catch the glint of the dark glasses underneath. "Someone's been a busy little duckie..."She said, wagging a finger at him. Out of the corner of her eye, she could spot Lian having kept herself hidden in the alleyway, immobilized for now as her terror kept her bolted to the ground. "Didn't someone ever tell you to clean up after playing hm? Look at this mess! You know even eternity has to be organized somehow to keep things intact. Your first day as a God and you've already made such a mess of things, you know? Makes the rest of us Gods and Goddesses work a little harder just to keep things in a straight line."Kalmuli tutted. "If you keep treating it like a playroom, you're going to be made to clean it up Little Boy."

Kalmuli leaned a bit, getting a look of just who was here. James Eredas. Gloria. Tres. Oz. Lian. Red the little blind girl. A bunch of dead or only slightly dead UWP cannon fodder. A wrinkly old man she had never seen nor met before. Did these mortals not know just how screwed they were? The endurance of those who knew they were going to die at some point was astonishing. Kalmuli rubbed her chin, her hand disappearing under the shade of her cowl hood. "On your way for more wanton destruction or may I be an escort?"She inquired. She who knew no fear. No sense of time. No sense of her own fate because it was undetermined. She did and didn't exist.

Kalmuli would ask the Great Absolute to walk with her like Death and the Inevitable Fate all walked.

The elderly mendicant would turn, his eyes allowed to bear witness to the normally unseen workings of a gate; the dark serpent of power, its arcane body whipping through the inches-wide gap in his grid, quickly formed a door at his ancient back.

Outside of the cage.

From within would emerge the awakening God, Ertai, and his prize; a girl with whom Dithakar was not familiar, and yet...immediately...the monk knew to be in grave peril.

His chant would end, but the Harmony remained about his person. In forced silence, alone with his thoughts, the bearded master questioned himself. What should he do...destroy the prison which now kept the abyssal gate contained, and go after a being who would summarily destroy him?

Or let the monster go...and sacrifice this unknown innocent?

Sigil was not his city, and this was not his decision to make. Thus, as the walls of his construction came together with a resolute -crack- of energy; the bald holy man would turn his back on everything beyond this pyramid...and focus his intention on the structure its self.

The flames that formed the whole of his right hand suddenly intensifying.

They would all feel it, a sense of being cut-off from everything. It was as if only the space within the six-block-wide tetrahedron existed, and everything beyond had vanished. Nothing could pass through the walls of shimmering light...no telepathic power, nor source of energy from realms far removed...The dimensional lock was completed.

However, because of it's shape, the pyramid would cause an unexpected side-effect for those so trapped; the fires that burned within the streets blazing all the brighter, and leaping higher than originally possible.

Those who wielded flames would feel it in their bones...a sort of power they'd never thought to possess.

Outside, Ertai would know immediately what had happened...the vast platonic-solid shutting him out, and removing all sensation of the Oblivion Gate within. That entire section of the city, anchored as it was, may as well not even have existed.

What would happen now that the portal was lost to him, if anything?

Crystal Grid :: By placing a number of crystals equal to the number of sides to be created, Dithakar may generate an enormous area-of-effect ability; ranging from cage-shields, zones of power, hallowed ground, or any number of crystal specific effects. The crystals must all be of the same type, and the full effect of the AoE takes approximately five minutes to form. Size is limited only by the distance between crystals. The effect remains active until said crystals are destroyed.

Okenite :: A specific type of crystal that looks like a cotton wool ball, or a furry snowball. It has the power to draw in energy of any type, and convert it to purified source of power. When used in this way, the Crystal can then create powerful wards against evil...or generate walls of light. If used in the later way, the walls created are as hardy as the most powerful source of energy available.

Tetrahedron :: If used as a shape for any Crystal Grid, it provides an added boost to ALL fire-type techniques/moves/abilities. This boost equates to an approximate 50% increase in all numeric qualities.

Jesus of Nazareth shows up. He wasn't Caucasian and he most definitely wasn't born in December. Had that been the case so long ago, his a** would have been a Popsicle. He stared at Ertai and Kalmuli pensively, his bare feet standing on an odd assortment of broken glass. They bled.

Seemingly something out of Sin City or any noir movie, the girls upstairs appeared at the balcony, a ridiculous amount of firepower aimmed down below onto the group of zealots. With nay a word, the group was shreaded by round after round of copp killer rounds fired from a plethera of guns down into the pit, with not a care for who the girls took out be it john or zealot.

It was violent, it was bloody and there was bodies piled up like cordwood for the third time this week.

The Dark Swan was going to have to change its name to the Bloody Swan soon enough if this s**t continued.

The vampire watched from afar with grim satisfaction as the windows flashed with gunfire. Within the brothel all hell had broken loose. Bullets tore the zealots and their victims alike apart fairly quickly, with each of the deranged souls happily departing to reunite with their god. Beneath their clothing patches of strange devices could be seen. They fought until they could fight no more, collapsing and uttering prayers with their final breaths.

"Hm."

He reached up in front of him holding out a detonator, and thumbed the button at the top. There was a terrific flash of light that started from within the zealots, then washed through the brothel. Though mundane, the explosives would prove themselves reasonably effective and fairly potent. Enough to blow out windows, break things, start fires, and to likely kill or gravely injure anyone in the immediate vicinity. Satisfied that his attack was overall a success, KB withdrew from the rooftop and disappeared from sight.
