Despite being Gaia's oldest town, Barton remains a bustling destination thanks to its important attractions, shops, and old world charm. Its more on a smaller scale compared to the other cities surrounding it not having the dense population or traffic issues common with bigger places, it only had a few roads for cars outside the Wall's forcing most to get around on foot the old fashioned way. This Town was more laid back and more Rural compared to the industrial machinations all around it having plenty of open space and room to farm crops in the fertile land. Barton was the hub of Gaia where most people start from moving onto other things later, but its impact since its creation and old world roots solidify it as a very important place on the northern continent of Gaia.

Though the vigilant guards and high walls surrounding the town have kept it safe, the surrounding areas are becoming increasingly dangerous. The town has little modern infrastructure and is known to use more magic than technology despite the fact that technology exists. The most prominent bit of technology is not even located within the city walls but outside of it at the Durem reclamation plant which supplies the city with its water via underground irrigation. At night the city is illuminated by glowing magical orbs located all throughout the city looking like torches of yellow illuminated light. People get around the city via beast's of burden and small vehicles on the roads outside the city. The city utilizes a cement road that makes travel easy but the gates are not meant to have car's or certain large vehicles to drive along the cobble stone roads within the walls. Gaia's main population center is known for its friendly people, quaint shops and the dedicated town guards who keep it clean and orderly. Citizenship is required to own property within Barton Town, when a foreigner enters through the Barton Town wall gates then they are given a visitor status and a keycard for identification. People living in Barton are taxed as they are in most places to support the Town's defense force and to keep the roads in good shape, however the cities government typically stays out of the lives of its citizens. The City utilizes gold as its currency like the other gaian settlements, however haggling is possible with other things of value within the commercial district. Generally people living in the city live in the middle class. There are few rich people but also few examples of extreme poverty. People in the city are generally considered to be friendly, amiable and welcoming to outsiders. Most of the cities population is human however, people of other species are numerous and welcomed. Unfortunately, this quiet community has been rattled by the arrival of the Animated.

The Animated have been cleansed from the land recently leaving only a few remnants, but they were just the first wave in a long line of destruction meant to follow.

- The Commercial District

This is the district with numerous shops. The shopping in Barton is amazing and there are many stores here with world renown. Some of these store's include Agatha's Jewelry shop which contain's some of the most beautiful gems in the world plucked from all around the region. Also another great store is the Barton Boutique run by Ian who is a prominent figure within the city, if only somewhat of an oddball. Also numerous bars are located in this area. These are often the places many adventures and jobs are posted, and serves as a starting point for adventurers.

- The Residential District

The residential district contains the living spaces for all of the cities occupants. Most homes in the city are very lavish and considerate of the limited space within the dense town. As such they are town homes that are built tall rather than wide, neatly settled together within neat straight rows that cover the entire district.

- The Gaming District

The Gaming district is the location of Barton's famous Colosseum. Here anyone may sign up and compete within the daily games. In these games two or more Gaian's fight in battles who's goal can be anything from death or dismemberment to a simple test of skill for the crowd with their votes and cheers to determine the victor. Viewers may place bets on who wins the fights. The winners win a certain amount of gold while the rest will go to the Colosseum and to the winning fighter. The gaming district also contains smaller gambling venues such as horse races and other oddball games of chance.

- The Civic District

Is the location of the underground entrance to the Subway station that can take riders to other Gaian settlements such as Durem and the Isle De Gambino. It also contains the other businesses and organizations within Barton Town, such as various guilds and the Barton Defense Force.

-The Industrial District

- The Royal District

Is located outside the Town itself called the Barton Estates and is populated by the Regal and Rich having alot of extravagant homes and mansions nestled around a Towering Castle in the middle.

-[]- Rules -[]-

1. Obviously following the Gaia TOS is one of the main rules.

2. Just have a good time in character interacting and using the thread for its purpose, I don't want pointless fighting or OOC clutter though.

2. I dont mind powerful characters at all but keep the destruction of the place to a minimum unless I have agreed and said otherwise. Fights can happen anywhere but Id like it if they were planned to an extent and not completely pointless.

3. If you want to do something big that involves a large amount of NPC's or PC's, deals with property, or establishes or affects a large faction Pm the thread owner first.

Name: Taifu Takashi

Name: Natalie Pierce
Age: 29
Appearance: 5'4", pale skin, dark hair (ALWAYS styled in victory rolls), usually wears a black skirt and tank top with a bright red coat over her clothes. Loves red lipstick.
Occupation: Is an operative of the Agency. Started out as a cryptographer/cryptanalyst and was doing strictly office work for five years before she was suddenly thrust into field work because the building where she lives (the Four Colors Cafe) is a hotbed of strange activity, and it would look suspicious if they pulled her out and put in another agent to watch the place. She still hasn't gotten any formal training besides what little she would've gotten for her desk job, because she hadn't been in place for long before things at the Agency really hit the fan. She primarily performs surveillance at the cafe and at King Solomon's Mind in Durem.

Name:Joseph Jackson Delahoy
Age: 33
Appearance:
Occupation: Lead Detective of the BPD with a reputation for completing each case he takes on.

Name: Chen Ning
Age: 30
Appearance: Chen’s an Asian cop who rarely looks the part. He has short groomed black hair and is often seen wearing shades. The frame of his face is strong, but is still youthful for his age. Matter of fact, he hardly shows much age except for around the eyes. But even that is little due to the well kept state of his body. When he’s not wearing any clothes, women can awe at the conditioned muscles of his body. As for his badge, it is placed on the right breast of his shirt, which is usually only visible when he pulls back his coat. He has another badge in his wallet.
Occupation: A fierce Detective and sometime patrolling Officer of the BPD rising up the ranks very quickly.

At first, it had only been about evolving items, but their interest grew. Rei had hacked into G-corp's computers, and found records from the grunny incident. She had an interest in Gino Gambino, and it wasn't a secret. She was a doctor, head of the mad science department, and she had a knack for gathering intel. She was turned into a vampire by none other than Louie during the war, and fought bravely for her king. Then, tragedy struck, one of the experiments in the TaT headquarters had exploded, and destroyed the building. Rei had taken the brunt of the blast. When he awoke, his right leg was missing and he no longer felt any pain. He was covered in cuts and bruises, and he dragged himself out of the rubble. All of his comrades were dead and gone, or at least those who had not just left. Full of grief and guilt, Rei rebuilt himself, and to his horror, found that his wounds no longer healed on their own. his body was rotting and dead, but he was still left behind. He left Gaia for five years, wandering and wondering. On his return, many things had changed. He came back to find that his items and estate had ballooned in value, and he was now a billionaire. [ These are non player characters that anyone may interact or speak with even roleplaying their actions to further story/plot. They have shops and backstory that anyone may use to keep themselves busy and interesting around Town, dont take it too far though by killing them without my consent or blowing thing's out of proportion etc. ]

Baron Bennedict Von Barton - Is the Regal Lord of the Town of Barton being a descendant of the original Barton family name of Gaian Lore and rightful heir to the Magical Town and all the Land that surrounds it ruling it gracefully and being sure to keep up its very old fashioned traditions. He makes sure that the Town is protected and has his Royal Guard constantly patrolling within the walls and protecting the people who work or reside there making sure the four entrances are free of anyone who may have bad or evil intentions. The Town pays taxes to the Baron and in turn he keeps the peace and oversee's any expansion or new additions to the Town always looking out for his people. He can be a very understanding depending on the situation and at times harsh and unforgiving depending on his mood and has the power to make monumental decisions that others would have to uphold or obey when given. He has alot of children and it is unknown who will be his successor with most of them fighting and vying for his attention or approval.

The Duke of Barton

Lord Arlington Black - A politician with a silver tongue, after an unusual streak of fortuitous events, found himself arbiter of dozens of high profile trade agreements. Though rarely in the limelight, his influence is notable, since these trade agreements often come up for renegotiation. He is thought to have connections with several dubious factions and his opponents in political matters have a tendency to vanish without trace.

Kid Barton - This nickname is given to Jeff Barton a thirteen year old teen who is one of Baron Bennedict's many son's who managed to become a local Hero of sort's. When Jeff was seven years old he got hit by lighting and manages to stay alive. After Jeff got out of the hospital he noticed he has super speed and electrical powers. Later in his life Jeff worked for G-Corp allowing them to run tests on him for month's until they managed to perfect his abilities helping him control them and was more powerful than before. While Jeff was in G-Corp they Cloned Jeff creating an evil twin of Jeff naming the Clone Bizzaro Barton. Months passed and Jeff found himself confronted by an evil version of himself named Bizzaro Barton. Jeff challenged Bizzaro to a race whoever won the race would have the title the world’s fastest Guardian in Barton Town and all of Gaia. Jeff won even though Bizzaro took alot the shortcuts and set deadly booby traps in his Path. These day's Jeff is in his early twenties and can be seen strolling through Town wearing a sparkling yellow outfit acting as one of the regions very few Super Hero's.

David "Qixter" Georgeson - Is second in command to the Duke.

Regulator X - He's an enhanced clone of Leon who takes orders from Qixter and the Duke.

Damian "Ian" Von Helson - Ian is half-vampire, and had been taking treatments to suppress those traits. He is the son of Vladimir Von Helson and Rosalie, full brother to Louie Von Helson, and the half-brother of Gino Gambino and sisters Marie and Anna Corinne Von Helson. His long time love interest has been a girl from Isle de Gambino named Sasha, who was completely oblivious to his advances. Though lately, It seems that Ian has accepted Sasha's interest towards Gino.

Marlon Maitland - Marlon own's a large acre of land further north of Bill's ranch being their closest neighbor in the area. He has alot more livestock than Bill including Goats, Chickens, Hog's, Sheep and even a stable of well thorough bred Horses that are bought and used by the Baron and his Soldiers. He doesnt grow any grains or vegetables on his farm having to buy and trade from his neighbor to feed his vast livestock.

Marcel Maitland "Z" - Marcel Maitland lived an average peasant boy's life cleaning and caring for livestock with his family on a farm on the outskirts of the Town known as Barton. Everything stayed average, until one day all the bovine in the field, suddenly vanished without a trace. Marcel, being a curious young lad, decided that he would keep an eye on the field that night, after the odd occurrence. After much looking onward over the out-stretching fields, to his amazement he noticed a bright green glowing light that shot down from the stars. He quickly ran to his parent’s room and woke them. His father, Marlon Maitland grabbed his rifle and followed his son through the field. Gazing up, bottom jaw wide open, alarmed to find an alien mother ship hovering over the grazing sheep. Marcel was fascinated with this strange new experience, oblivious to it's dangers, he ran towards a sheep that had began to levitate, and before they knew it, he too had begun to rise upwards. His dad readied the gun and began firing at the aircraft. Little did he know that the sound of the rifle firing alerted the alien craft as it made a quick getaway into the sky and into the Darkness of Space. Marcel had been taken to a planet many light years away from Gaia. After being knocked unconscious several times on the journey there Marcel had become concussed, confused and vulnerable. After routine tests had been carried out upon his body the aliens allowed him to depart from their ship and join their civilization, as one of them, a Zurg child renaming him simply "Z". Marcel had joined a Zurg Hive training group. Using high tech weaponry and combat skills, they were on their way to fight a war on the planet Xark, a neighboring planet in their galaxy. They found themselves being blasted through the outer reaches of space by a cataclysmic dark matter eruption caused by the Xarkathons as a defense trap. In a turn of events, as a result of the blast radius, Marcel ended up crash landing back on his real home planet, Gaia. Realizing his true home and that agriculture was no place for him, he packed his bags and left for big city, meeting unique and empowered hero's like himself. He had learned the secret abilities of the golden metallic sash that was given to him by the Zurg that it gives him powers unlike any normal human being Including flight, increased strength and speed.

Rancher Bill - Bill runs a farm and ranch to the southwest of Barton Town. He's been here for years and has quite the extended family working the ranch along with him.

Purvis - The spectacularly dense, but amazingly strong son of Rancher Bill. Purvis has several hobbies, including carrying cows for distance (he puts them over his shoulders like a yoke) and driving fence posts for speed (he holds them still with one hand while he drives the post into the ground with his other fist).

Rina - The good-natured, flighty, some would even say ditzy, owner of the Barton Flowershoppe. Rina can be challenging to speak with because she's just so excitable, but almost everyone in Barton Town loves her like a daughter

Cindy Donovinh - Cindy is a reporter for Gaia 9 Action News. She is the first to report on any conflict, tragedy, or event. Her first report was made shortly after the Johnny K. Gambino's mansion was blown up. She investigated the identity of "Zhivago" The Sniper. She uses the G9 Laptop to type her reports. Cindy doesn't seem to have a tolerance for ignorant people, and is always determined to get to the bottom of things, even if it means working late into the night.

Mike - Helicopter Pilot / Cameraman of Gaia 9 Action News thats always follows and assists Cindy.

Nicolae - Nicolae ("Nicu" to his friends) is the owner and proprietor of a travelling tinker's wagon. He's set up camp in Barton Town while "all the craziness settles down"...which may be for much longer than he originally intended. He's a con man and probably on the run from the law. We've seen him selling stolen goods, selling power-ups, crafting items from loot, and now in the comics as a mercenary who's been hired to kill Gino.

Leon - The commander of the Barton Town Regulars, Leon leads the defense of Barton Town and its outlying suburbs. He has a large contingent of guards that operate in Town and the surrounding countryside. Leon is a friendly, good-natured, bear of a man who treats his mother well and is loyal to his friends. Supposedly, he's "really tough" even by Gaian standards. He'd have to be, to eat his mom's cooking.

Captain Cresento - Is a well connected and regal Elf who now owns his own Airship manufacturing corporation on the outskirts of Town creating ship's large or small for anyone willing to pay a large sum for such a transport vehicle. He's got an ego the size of Manhattan Island, easily. When he crashed his airship into the Overseer's makeshift airtubship, one of his remarks was, "I hope you have insurance, Overseer. I think your garbage pile scratched my airship."

The Overseer - A demi-god of old transformed into a clam. It took over Gino's body for a time and was then turned into a mortal human by Jack later.

The Sentinel - A demi-goddess of old. Was stuck in a box for 1000 years, where she went mad. Tried to take over the world but instead was made into a mortal human by Jack.

Katsumi - This lonely and slightly detached girl tends the shrine in the Zen Gardens. Solitary for many reasons, she is reserved and quiet, speaking rarely and only to those she has come to trust.

Ike - Ike loves the waves. He loves a lot of things, actually...but he loves the waves the most. He's out in the water most days (unless the sea is glass), but he and his friends party on the beach most nights, gathered around a raging bonfire.

Blaze - Blaze is the daughter of a famous deep sea diver who operates his business out of an old waterwheel mill near Bass'ken Lake. She has a younger brother, Todd, who constantly gets in her hair, which prompts her to spend a lot of time outdoors.

Ebonscald - Ebonscald is a large black dragon who is much bigger than his siblings, including his long white horns. His scales are black and his underbelly is orange. His muzzle is sharp and tipped with a horn, the scales on his face are gray and his eyes are red. He is quite a boastful dragon.

Jaws - He appears to be a gentle type. This is seen with this primary focus being about the the Overseer. Jaws is a youthful shark boy by appearance. He has gray hair, eyes and light gray skin, his tail is shark based and also gray. He has an overbite and what seems to be a permanent blush on his cheeks.

Skullfetcher - Skullfetcher is a collector of skulls and displays them on himself proclaiming to be the 'King of the Craniums', he speaks proudly of the collection to fellow wolves and humans alike. He openly talked about his hobby of removing heads from useless bodies and bleaching the skulls white, and also making it a point to give his skulls names. The bleaching activity, he states, is what caused his fur to become purple.

Crazy Murderer Keith - Keith is a convicted murder currently serving (or so it seems) time in prison for murder. He appears to be a rather unstable person, but able to make coherent and smart comments, mostly about murder and death. When his jacket was gone, he ceased all his usual crazy murdering activities. Keith has his own reasons to murder someone, like if they were trying to steal his eyeballs or something, so when it comes to planning a murder he's not much of a ''planning'' guy. He has a knack for chiseling makeshift shanks out of bedpost with his teeth, and making clothing out of human skin. When Timmy was released from prison in October, Keith managed to stab him a few times.

Dr. Schadenkind - The Doc is one of Gaia's most prominent psychoanalysts, with the biggest ad in the phone book. He has degrees on his wall, most of which aren't fake. He also puts on an accent as part of his whole "thing", and has a bad temper.

Ms. Fortune - She is a wandering fortune teller that appeared in Barton Town. Setting up her table and crystal orb at the fountain, she waited as a crowd gathered around her and began to ask her various questions. She singled out [[Ian]] (who was dragged to the occasion by an eager [[Rina]]), but Ian didn't know what to ask, so while on the spot his question was simple: asking if his cat [[Rufus]] would get a new suit. The fortune teller laughed at this and told him to dig deeper for a better question, to which Ian then replied ''"What does the future hold for all people of Gaia?"''. Ms. Fortune found this to be more challenging and suitable and she consulted her "Orb of Circumstance" which, she insist, does not lie. A look of shock and horror appeared on the woman's face and she coward on the ground saying that ''"We are doomed!"''. The fortune was that a great threat would come and that only one group shall survive, or all would perish, and that they'd be forced to fight for their very existence. Upon hearing this the crowd turned into hysterics and began to attack any beings that were not human, this included Ian who is looked upon as a [[vampire]]. But the other beings soon joined in only to defend themselves.

Officer Boothe

Jack - The pumpkin-headed Anthropomorphic Personification of Halloween.

The Easter Bunny - Everyone's favorite lovable lapine as a psycho cyborg/robot/something.

Vladimir Von Helson - Ex-leader of Gaia's vampires. Father of Ian and Louie Von Helson, along with the twins. Presumed dead.

Louie Von Helson - Son of Vladimir Von Helson, and younger brother of Ian Von Helson. Current leader of Gaia's vampires. May or may not be a Vegetarian Vampire.

Zhivago - Vladimir's hired gunman. Apparently now working for Don Kuro. After taking out Gambino, Zhivago balks at the thought of going after Gino... only for Don Kuro to reveal that he no longer has a choice in the matter.

Old Pete - Pete is a wandering hobo-tramp who travels the lands of Gaia. Pete doesn't seem to be fully aware of what he talks about half time. For example, stating that the invisible police told him he had something in his teeth put there by the government so they can hear his radio waves and know when he pees, and he also babbles about things such as the secret dog government. Plus he enjoys drinking paint, brass polish, and eating sandwiches that were left on buses.

Pastor/Reverend Gork

Agatha - Agatha is the owner of Barton Jewelers. She and Logan revealed that they have a daughter, who has just opened her own store.

Carl - Carl is a majestic wild elk who's taken up residence in the abandoned junk store called "Junk in the Trunk".

LabTech X - The first time LabTech X appeared, he was selling Vials of a mysterious Green liquid to the populace for 100 Gaia Gold a piece. Many Gaians thought nothing of these little vials, being more interested in the Halloween party at the Gambino Mansion. It became apparent that "Zombie" Gaians could be cured by using the green vials that they had bought from the mysterious LabTech X. A few months later LabTech X made a series of cameos, warning of an impending "Storm". While there was much speculation, a few months later, Johnny K. Gambino was shot atop a tower built by donations by the mysterious figure then known simply as "The Sniper"...and the Tower of Gambino, fell with him, obliterating the Von Helson Mansion in Durem.
Gino Gambino, who had just recently regained consciousness after being discovered on the beach by Ian and Sasha. LabTech X, lurking within the new G-Corp Lab, released a horde of G Virus infected Grunnies into the mansion, where hapless Gaians tried to contain them. After the mansion was burned to the ground, LabTech X vanished. Lately some Gaians have deciphered binary lettering that declares: “X lives” obviously referring to LabTech X.

-[]- Quests/Job's -[]-

[ These are local or odd job's or missions that people make take up, some of them can be dangerous and may need the help of a group especially if it is a Quest of some sort needing people to travel and take down enemies etc. ]

-[]- Good Alignment -[]-

Baron Bennedict Von Barton: A small increase in crime around Town has alerted the Lord of the North and recruiting for the "Regulator's" or the "Royal Guard" have begun needing more soldiers to take up positions and patrol the area's within the protective Walls of the Town. The Guild Directory is the place to sign up speaking with Commander Leon, certain weapons and a special magically infused suit of armor will be provided.

GPD/BPD: The police station is always looking for new patrolmen or officers of the law and positions are always available. Once you complete some important paperwork and go through some basic training you will be given a uniform and some essential equipment, everything outside the Town is police jurisdiction and new officers are required to be sharp and to follow basic protocol.

Orochi Sey: "The Holy Temple of Falis" is in need of Healers and Paladin's to protect the Temple itself and Heal anyone in need within Barton Town. Contact Sey or entering the temple is a good way to begin recruitment.

Rancher Bill: There have been many Zurg UFO sightings near Bill's ranch at nightfall and he seems to be missing some Cow's from his large herd of cattle, they have either been beamed up to the mothership or mutilated in the surrounding fields which is causing him some concern. His very strong son Purvis has been pulling up large boulders and rocks and chucking them at the saucers but it isnt enough to stop them, he would be willing to pay anyone who can help with some of his fresh crops, milk, or gold as long as they are driven off. [ About Four or Five posts are required. ]

Werewolf Hunters: In the surrounding Barton Forest which stretched for hundreds of miles around the north and southwest of the Town seems to be infested with a larger number of Lycanthrope's needing Hunters to thin the growing population and stop them from attacking the merchants and travelers who use the dirt roads in the area. They seem to have a leader known loosely as "Bane the Merciless" who has laid claim to the forested area but he doesnt seem to have complete control of their actions causing them to run wild changing others into Werewolves without mercy. Silver weapons or Superhuman's will be required to slay these beast's, wolf pelts or teeth etc. will count as payment and can be exchanged for Gaia gold or cash. [ About Three or Four posts are required to slay just one Lycan, increased posts will be needed if facing a pack etc. ]

Barton Library: This old library is always looking for a Librarian or part time Book Keeper, they also pay very handsomely for any very ancient or important book's from all around the world of Gaia always looking to expand their directories with more knowledge.

Barton Fire Department: Burser Barton one of the many son's of the Baron was was the Fire Chief of the Town and was always looking for new Firefighters to help out with any local problems or even forest fires on the outskirts. People with elemental power's over Water or Ice would be in very high demand and greatly appreciated by him.

Thievery: This is usually frowned upon by the BPD and the Baron but different factions rely on thieves or bandits to steal from their enemies. Weapons and even secret information are high priority targets to weaken Evil Organizations and the G-Team and Red Wing's have been known to accept them as payment aswell as Nicolae of Back Alley Bargain's. They usually trade for gold or Gaia cash, though is still not fully legal within or outside the Wall's of Barton Town.

-[]- Neutral/Evil Alignment -[]-

Romani Crime Family: - This famously known Gaian Crime Family is always looking for new members or people to acquire them more money or power hoping to reach their former glory. Robbing or extorting local businesses, taking out rival gang members, or simply stealing anything and offering it to the Don was enough to get praise or good standing in the eyes of the Family. Wearing a nice suit was also a good way to get their attention since most members were properly dressed at all times even in death.

Intimidation: - Located just outside the Town of Barton in the Gaia Suburbs is a Biker hangout called "The Crowbar" where a large Outlaw Biker gang called "The Riders of Hades" make their hideout. I want these bearded and defiant slob's to be taught a valuable lesson, I want every single Motorcycle in the parking lot behind the bar to be destroyed and ripped apart leaving the destruction for them to witness when they exit the building. Casualties are a bonus.
[ The Saint Family ] Taken by: None

The two story bar is filled with possibly twenty well armed "heavy set" bikers so caution should be used when approaching and they dont need to be killed to complete the job. Outside the bar the music is loud and its possible a few Bikers are drunk and stumbling around the area, the motorcycles are the main priority and all twenty need to be demolished before everything has been fulfilled. They will know who sent the message.[ Post count: Atleast five or six for completion. ]

Cleansing: - The Jr Black Mafia our rival has been overstepping their turf and expanding their business on our territory, they will not listen to reason and have forced our hand this time. We will free our misguided brothers from their corporeal prisons and set them right on their way to be judged by the one above.
[ Thug Apostles ] Taken by: None

In the run down dangerous "Barton Height Apartment's" just south of Barton Town there are two abandoned apartment buildings that are being used and occupied by members of the Jr Black Mafia. The crumbling buildings are side by side and both have a second floor renovated used to make and distribute drugs to the area. Its unknown how many gang members might be present there so extreme caution should be used, their firepower is also unknown. Any drugs found or money recovered after slaughtering the occupants can be kept as payment, but we do want the drug factory shut down so destroy the second floors and burn them down. Also we want our message to be left behind so some of the dead bodies should be manipulated and staged with their hands on their chests and coins resting on their eyes, a few crosses written on the walls in blood will also do nicely.

Reward: Drugs/Guns/Money. Post Count: Atleast six or more posts are needed for completion.

Dangerous Mine's: - The Durem reclamation hub is also the location of an abandoned mine shaft used to procure Gem's and Diamond's. The caves are dark and treacherous and its unknown what creatures may live inside, the lights dont work anymore and the mine-carts will have to be moved or pushed manually. Cave-in's are another possible danger and it would be wise to follow the mine cart rail tracks to find anything worth selling at the "Jewelry Shop" in Town. A pick axe, flashlight, weapon's, and other survival equipment would be good to bring along incase something was lurking in the dark or if one got lost in the labyrinth of tunnels.

The Gaian Guardian's -

The Knight's The Knight's of Gaia was an ancient order of mighty Armored Knights who traveled and trekked all across the world of Gaia and held the Old Code of Chivalry, Honor and Pride. When corruption stirred within the bowels of Gaia, the Knights arose to defend the people and the good of the land. Over time evil was vanquished, and peace reigned. It was a true utopia. However, the people of Gaia grew restless and fearful; they saw the Knights as a menace, as barbaric remnants of the past that kept them from true happiness during this time of peace. Thrown down from their heroic status by the very people they strove to protect, the Knights disappeared into legend. It has been a millennium since the last knight was seen, but now new threats rise in Gaia and the Order has been resurrected by a select few descendants.

B.O.O. - Is an acronym meaning: Benevolent Order of the Overseer. After a long and grueling conflict, the Infernal Nation triumphed, leaving the Benevolent Order in disarray. The forces of darkness are already amassing in secret, and The Benevolent Order is committed to protecting Gaia from the looming threat of annihilation. Our ancient order dedicates itself to honoring the Righteous One by promoting his virtues and protecting Gaia from his enemies. As a member of the Benevolent Order, you'll be expected to live by the following code:
- Comport yourself with dignity and patience
- Protect those weaker than you
- Enjoy a lifelong pursuit of wisdom
- Guard Gaia against all demonic threats
Though we are largely a peaceful organization, our scriptures indicate that we will soon be called upon to take up arms against a dire threat. Please consider pledging your devotion to our cause.

-[]- Barton Town Center Square -[]-

The streets of the bright and beautiful "Barton Square" are laid with cobblsestone's walkways aswell as a small moat or stream running in a circle around the town and businesses giving people access to fresh water. Long ago the walls and the Town had come under attack from a monstrous Beast maiming citizens and Hero's alike, this incident prompted many powerful Mages and Wizards to join forces and create powerful enchantments and Rune Magic to create an indestructible Town. The stones that made up the buildings and even some armor and items were infused with very powerful Magic allowing them to be destroyed and crumbled to dust, but after a week's time the Town would begin to rebuild slowly putting itself back together aswell as resurrecting anyone who died or was killed within the protective walls. They had some comforts of the modern world like electric powerlines running along the buildings and a few old style phone booth's located around Town but the place still had the means to function without them relying on farming from local's like Rancher Bill and having fresh water within the walls. The Barton Royal Guard or otherwise known as the Regulators were stationed here to watch over the Town and prevent anything from happening to it, their magic infused armor allowed them some level of higher strength and endurance allowing them to face Evil in all its forms without the risk of permanent death.

The Fountain - The cobble stone center square is dominated by a large fountain with four lions facing to each cardinal direction while a rimmed saucer shaped spire reaches upwards aswell as a bird spreading its wingspan at the very top. A metal plaque was inscribed on the fountain containing a list of names and a picture of a creature inscribed aswell.

"The Barton Massacre: This Memorial is dedicated to the Hero's/Heroines that gave their lives defending the citizens of Barton and driving away the Monster that ravaged the area almost a decade ago. The Coliseum has multiple arena's with some dedicated to certain styles and each hailed by a champion.

Inside, it's like one giant farmers market. You can find a little bit of anything and everything, including stuff that's like what's outside, except cheaper. It's like a Farmer's market, yard sale and quiet little get away all mixed in one. If you can't find it here, it's probably not worth having. The Tasty Tonic - Walking the cobblestone paths of Barton, your eye catches an old brick building located practically next door to the jewelry store, a sign posted above the door reads 'The Tasty Tonic' in graffiti style letters. The sign is obviously cheap and hand made and does not light up itself, though there is a light that is turned on after sunset so that the sign is viewable. There are no posted business hours however, which would imply that the owner of the establishment opens and closes as he pleases. The front door has a 'Open' sign posted in the window, and if/when closed, the sign is flipped to read 'Closed'. The only other door on ground level to the bar is located to the left side of the building, though it can apparently only be opened from the inside.

Its also rumored to be the location of a secret organization known only as "The Agency" conducting surveillance and using coding and encryption to send or sell information to the highest bidder.

Holy Temple of Falis - Settled in Barton Town lies a small temple. Currently leased out by a woman named Sey, it has become an official branch of the holy religion of Falis. Though currently not much, she seeks to grow and build the temple, thus the reputation of the religion, through recruiting white mages and paladins. The temple is a simple place. It's a white stoned mini cathedral with a blue and white banner of Falis decorating each side of the double doors. The emblem upon them is the shape of a dragon. The temple comes with a hallway that leads into the sermon area, with doors lining along each side as one walks down the red-carpeted corridor. There are various other hallways that run through the outskirts of the temple. A courtyard sits in the center, with a fountain running fresh water and flower beds surrounding it, often having beautiful white birds flocking to it every dawn and dusk.

The Angelic Temple - This large temple made of glowing white stones was a home for Angel's and half-breed's alike. Angels are permitted to live here and fulfill a peaceful existence aswell as learning skills and Holy Magic to help them survive in the harsh world known as Gaia. Its also the Home of those chosen to protect Gaia herself and the many "Gods" of Gaia. This group is know as "The Gaian Guardian's".

Shrine of Kalseru - The Shrine is open to all who seek enlightenment, to better oneself, and to expand beyond their current horizons. The Free Man shrine is one of the oldest in Gaia. It is said that Kalseru himself, after cast out by the oppressive Falicians, created this shrine, just before he ascended to godhood. Regardless of what the truth is, it is known that the Shrine, and the building over it is centuries old.

[] First Floor []
The Free Man: The Free Man is a tavern and inn, not unlike hundreds of others in Gaia. The outside is nice and simple, well worn and oiled timbers. There is a creeky sign over the single, oaken door. Old, black, burned in letters proclaim the establishment as The Free Man. Behind the bar, is what was originally a temporary wall, and a long case, used for the shelving of various supplies, booze, and the like. Behind the wall, is the kitchen, with all the supplies you would expect. Rather than electric they use a wood stove here. Otherwise it is perfectly modern, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, plumbing, and so forth. Along the northern wall, western side, there are a set of stairs beneath a trap door, leading to the shrine. This place is a fully functional bar and restaurant, and this is in fact how the shrine earns enough gold to maintain itself.

[] Second Floor []
The Weary Soul: The second floor, smaller than the first, is kept in much the same decor. Wooden construction, with hardwood floors, walls, and doors. These rooms have also been used as safe houses. The doors, as those inside can notice, have several heavy locks, and even a beam to bar the door with. Security is a high priority here. Heavy enchantments cover these rooms, blocking out scrying spells, detection spells, and extinguishing sources of light that enter these spaces. This place is one of the ways the shrine acquires wealth, providing safe houses for anyone, regardless of which side of the law they might find themselves on.

[] Shrine/Basement []
The Shrine: The shrine is located in the basement. Those followers that keep their own altar are advised they should do the same. This is born out of tradition, keeping their acts far from the oppressive eye of the Sun, and Falis, God of Tyranny. The Shrine Room is simple and small. In the direct middle of this room, is an altar made of marble. The altar has been horribly stained, and is now a reddish brown color, rather than the white stone it once was. Flanking the altar directly to the east and west, are two three foot tall braziers, always there are burning coals and an incense additive, keeping the basement in a smokey, perfumed haze at all hours. When services are conducted, the head priest stands upon the northern side of the altar, speaking upwards, towards Kalseru, rather than towards any of the worshippers. Directly above the altar is painted a mural, depicting the claw of Kalseru. Red scaled skin, steely talons, the points dripping blood. This is the mark of Kalseru's superiority over those within the room. Any who deface the symbol should be prepared to face his wrath.

St. Barton Hospital

Barton Blood Bank

Barton Flowershoppe/Buttercup Cafe - These two shop's are now combined into one. The creation of this shop was spawned from Rina's dream to open a cafe so she could chat with people during the Summer months. Together with Kanoko, Rina attempted to create and put her special touch into various confectionery. Eventually creating a Strange Cupcake of sorts. Although she did her best, the cupcakes were less than edible, causing Gaians to be sour faced. So with the help of Leon, an entire new batch of confectionery was created and the shop was formed. The Barton Flowershoppe is adjoined to the Cafe with Lovely floral accessories and cute gardening supplies. Rina also runs the Flower Exchange, giving Gaians different colored bouquets in return for the flowers gathered in towns. In order to color the paper that the flowers are held in, ink from the Bug Exchange must also be given. She is known to supply other businesses in the area with flowers or seeds.

With thousands of homes, apartments, and Barton Town itself to keep in order they had alot of work weighing on their shoulders.

The Waterworks [ Barton Sewers ] - This small building on the surface leads beneath Barton Town where the Waterworks were carefully crafted by a team of dedicated artisans. Designed with a ridiculous amount of aesthetically pleasing grillwork and water sprays, it was crafted to be not only functional and long-lasting, but also a work of art on its own merit. This controls the running water and new age plumbing for the entire town and the surrounding area even connecting to the Durem sewer system and Reclamation Facility.

Old Subway Station - This form of transportation was developed elsewhere in other places like Durem but here its a bit too new age and isnt used very often leaving it almost abandoned at times and neglected. It is known to have a subway car stopped every four hours travelling only to the main cities and back again with no detours.

Bass'ken Lake - The home of some mighty fine fishin', Bass'ken Lake was once a thriving lumber camp. The old lumber mill there has been closed for some time, but "The Old Fishing Hole" general store is still open, mostly due to the efforts of its tough and crusty proprietor.

The Old Fishing Hole - This fisherman's shack and bait shop is run by old man Logan a crazy guy with his mind set on hunting for rare fish, he seems like he would be good at harpooning or hooking the fish from the edge of his boat. Not much to buy except rods reels and bait though their might be something valuable lurking around somewhere.

Abandoned Saw Mill - An assortment of old wooden barns and shacks housing equipment and tools for cutting down large forests.

Old Aqueduct [ Great Wall of Gambino ] - The remains of the old aqueduct that was used before the Durem Reclamation Facility was created are still present here, although dilapidated and fallen now into beautiful ruin. The jungles to the northwest stretch down this far, but have not yet fully consumed the old stones. The Zurg artifact called the Star Portal lies dormant here still, guarded by a handful of ever-present GIB agents.

Otami Ruins - Long ago, there was a fierce civilization of warriors that built a huge empire in the area. So ferocious was their society that they tore themselves apart with their constant aggression. Eventually, the people themselves disappeared, leaving only their monolithic statues and ruins behind to tell their story. Jungles overgrow the entire area and what was once a massive city-state is now the home of monkeys and macaws.

Barton Lotus - Along the sunny boulevards and avenues of Barton Town, the birds sang through the clear blue sky, unwilling to leave for warmer climates as winter fell upon Gaia. Shoppers ran from store to store, bundled in coats while trying to keep exposed and chapped hands, filled with bags and boxes, warm from the chilling winds. Merry wishes and friendly greetings filled the winter air, but no one stayed to chat long as many feared that a small banter shared between them would freeze their tongues right off! Just north of the western gates of Barton lay a small series of shops of small business owners. Among the oddities and commodities sat a small pub with a blue front and wide windows- The Barton Lotus. The bar had been the same for the generations it had been in Barton. The small pub was dimly lit by ancient looking oil lamps that flickered whenever the doors would open or someone passed by them too quickly, casting eerie shadows around the room. An old iron stove sat in the left corner, a brilliant fire popping and crackling merrily behind the iron grid. The walls were littered with an assortment of souvenirs, pictures and news clippings that the owners and regulars alike had pieced together.

Barton Train Station- One of the older buildings in the town. Not saying much, only that is has avoided Mass Destruction, such as during the events of Triad, or the many rampages that occur. It was the original stop for the travelers who arrived in town in comfort. Two sets of tracks, side by side, stretching out both South and towards the West. The Depot is built around the central Platform, the oldest part of the complex. A brick building, one story, with a rounded roof made of steel. A wooden platform extends out from it, towards the Track at Freight Car level, ramping down the sides of the brick building gently towards the ground allowing for easy handcar access. Around the Front, facing the Barton Streets and opposite of the tracks is the doors to the Depot Building, a large sliding steel door providing the only access to the inside. As the years went on, newer buildings were added to the Freight Depot complex. New warehouses, two on either side of the Old Depot, larger by a factor of three, newer construction the farther you get from the Old Depot, with the warehouses having their access doors facing both back and front. All and all the actual "Depot" consists of a half mile stretch along the tracks.

Efforts to knock down this Inefficient Old Style depot are currently mounting in the business circles, as its hogging prime real estate. The Historical Society of Barton are those who have been opposing them. And lately there have been demonstrations near the Depot and it's surrounding buildings.

Village Greens - South of Barton Town lie the sprawling suburbs known as the "Village Greens". A walled enclave of private housing ( known simply as "Towns" ) exists here aswell, kept separate from the rolling hills, flower gardens, and the golf course greens after which this area is named.

Gaia Suburbs [ Towns ] - After passing through the Village Greens area you enter the more populated and dense suburban area of Gaia housing the many inhabitants of the Town aswell as Gaia itself. The suburbs were blocked in long rectangles and uniformed with roads going around them while the rest consisted of small businesses and churches giving it all the comforts one could enjoy. This area houses about a hundred thousand or more Gaian residents from the Town above and other areas.

The Raven's Rest Inn - Rumors have spread through all of Gaia about a strange tavern with four entrances to the mysterious place with one in each of the main cities. They are said to be hidden as small rundown shacks. Once you step through you are transported to the tavern itself.

Barton Public Park - There is a strange sentience to the park, neither good nor evil. For some, the park is a place of utmost convenience, where things appear just as they are needed. for others, it is a place of endless frustration, where nothing seems to go right despite their best attempts. The grass is green and thick underfoot, but do not be fooled: it is still grass. It is prickly and wet and full of bugs. The river is really more of a stream, and a rather gentle one at that. It reaches only three feet at its very deepest point, and it is always too cold to be comfortable. The sidewalk leads into the rest area, a hexagonal building of brown brick and clay shingles. The wooden benches in front of it are a popular sleeping area for vagrants and wayward demigods. The picnic tables are the strange shade of blue normally associated with public schooling; the seats are uncomfortable, and the tables are not actually level enough to hold a drink safely.Cigarette butts sink into the plush grass and disappear, never to be seen again. The pond, dotted here and there with photogenic lilypads, contains fish of indeterminate species. Most of them seem to be edible. Two white gazebos, containing no furniture, provide shelter from the weather with a view of the river. Behind the rest area, just a touch too close to the forest, is the playground. No molded plastic or soft sand to be found, the dirt is packed hard enough that it might as well be concrete; the slide, the monkey bars, and the swings are all metal, rusted and sharp. The playhouse is all old wood, and any trysts held in its confines are sure to end with splinters in uncomfortable places.

Barton High School - This school attends to the many teen's of different races located in the Suburbs south of the Town educating them in everything from simple arithmetic to the history of the lands of Gaia. Marcus Washington III is the Principal of the school with Mrs. Connie as the active Dean keeping order within the school.

Barton Heights Apartments -

The GPD - This was the very first sheriff's department and police force on Gaia and for this nostalgic reason the sign still reads "G.P.D." even though the officers are referred to as Barton Police Officers or BPD by many. This was also not the first building as the original one before it had been destroyed by evil forces and burned to a crisp, the foundation and rubble were taken by independent contractors controlling dump trucks and cranes dumping it in the barren wastes far south. The new building itself is rather inviting at first glance, but beneath the surface of the mere two story building lies a tough defense against assault. The main building faces a major street aswell as the entrance into Gaia Suburbs, pulled back away a few dozen yards for a small park area with grass and a few trees. Behind the main building is a parking structure built to manage even the largest GPD sanctioned vehicles, such as SWAT vans and the like, with a road running alongside the building for access from the front. Only GPD Officers and other like officials are able to park in the parking garage without clearance.

Barton Hollow - This creepy fog coated road leading into a Dark thick forest is known as Barton Hollow, the road leads to the swamp and the Graveyard further west and many stories and legends have been told about it. One cold winter night, a Gaian left the Train Station in Barton and started walking to his home in the hollow nearby. His path led next to the old Barton Hollow cemetery where a headless Barton Guard was buried. At midnight, the Gaian came within site of the graveyard. The weather had warmed up during the week, and the snow was almost gone from the pathways. It was a dark night with no moon, and the only light came from his lantern. The Gaian was nervous about passing the graveyard, remembering the rumors of a galloping ghost that he had heard at the Train Station. He stumbled along, humming to himself to keep up his courage. Suddenly, his eye was caught by a light rising from the ground in the cemetery. He stopped, his heart pounding in fear. Before his startled eyes, a white mist burst forth from an unmarked grave and formed into a large horse carrying a headless rider.
The Gaian let out a terrible scream as the horse leapt toward him at a full gallop. He took to his heels, running as fast as he could, making for the bridge since he knew that ghosts and evil spirits did not care to cross running water. He stumbled suddenly and fell, rolling off the path into a melting patch of snow. The headless rider thundered past him, and the Gaian got a second look at the headless ghost. It was wearing a Barton Guard uniform. The Gaian waited a good hour after the ghost disappeared before crawling out of the bushes and making his way home. After fortifying himself with schnapps, the Gaian told his wife about the ghost. By noon of the next day, the story was all over Barton. The good Gaian folk were divided in their opinions. Some thought that the ghost must be roaming the paths at night in search of its head. Whatever the reason the Headless Gaian continues to roam the paths near Barton Hollow on dark nights from that day on.

Barton Hollow Cafe & Inn - Wandering through a small town you and many others including travelers are walking down cobblestone streets. The small buildings portraying shops and restaurants and even a few cottages that people have made their homes are all very quaint and much of their surfaces have vines trailing down their sides. You've reached a dead end in all this wandering and what's this? A small dirt trail leading into the woods right outside of Barton Hollow. You decide to follow this path deep into the greenery, stepping over tree roots, moving a few branches aside. You begin to hear running water and see a small opening ahead, a small valley. Finally, you come across it. A two story building that is made of wood and is overgrown with moss and vines with colorful wildflowers surrounding it. It's nestled in a perfect spot near the pond with a river running through.

The Beast of Prey- A facility located on the South western sect of Barton, where members meet to train , converse, and or transact issues of the infamous HoH tournament. One could describe the facility like a fighting complex, some say it is a self servicing corporation on several floors with executive offices, others have described its appearance as a fighting enthusiast paradise. The fact is no one really knows what it is like inside other than it is able to facilitate most everything one would need to reach peak performance for tournaments. It is said that the BoP hold a friendly Grand Prix to test the ability of opponents before the actual tournament. Comprised of a total 10 floors.

-Two Fighting arenas for regulated matches
-Training section for complete technique, skill, and strength training (appropriate equipment for all beings)
-Executive Office
-Lounge
-Front Desk and waiting area
-Hall of Heroes

To the East of Barton Town were many important buildings aswell as methods of traversing the land to new areas by using teleporters or air-ships. The Eastern gate out of the Town leads out to the main road that heads far east reaching all the way to the industrial city of Aekea.

The Arbiter There is a platform created for docking the flying air-ship known as "The Arbiter" located outside the Eastern walls of Barton. It is a wooden structure made up of wooden planks aswell as stairs leading up to the floating air-ship allowing passengers access to the transport vehicle.

The Zen Gardens - To the west of Barton Town lie the sculpted and manicured Zen Gardens, tended by a family of resident botanists and horticulturists. Koi ponds, bamboo trees and groves of lanterns surround a central contemplation shrine. Famed throughout Gaia, these Gardens are a well-loved tourist destination. The woods they border to the west are dense thickets that few people have a reason to brave. The road leading west is the way to Durem.

These locations are just outside the city limits of Barton Town but close enough to be reached by walking or any vehicles one might be using.

The Durem Reclamation Facility This is where all the waste in Gaia sleeps, located east of Durem, and is the fishing area with the highest level of difficulty. The facility cleans the water thoroughly and is an important waypoint between the city of Durem and Barton supplying both with enough water through its intricate and long piping system.

Durem Reclemation Hub/Mining Cave Is a rocky hillside with giant steel tubes running over it, going into the hillside and guiding water to the Durem Reclamation Facility. The hillside was also a labyrinth of Caves and was known to be used by mining companies searching for Diamonds and precious Gem's embedded within the rock and stone. It was quiet and abandoned for now aswell as treacherous for anyone who didnt have the proper equipment or a map to traverse the many caves with some leading to literal "Dead End's".

Gold Beach - Far north past Bass'ken Lake this popular tourist beach is golden sand next to gentle lagoon-like waves. Surfers paddle far out past the barrier reef to catch the bigger waves there, and they swear that the rides are worth the effort. A lighthouse stands high over the beach, warning ships about the reef so they don't add to the countless shipwrecks found throughout the Shallow Sea.

Buccaneer Boardwalk [ Gambino Shipyard/Wharf ] -The Pirates of the Shallow Sea are starting a supposedly legitimate business venture here at the old Gambino docks, renovating the area into an amusement boardwalk. The Ferry is still running and ships are still docking transporting and bringing back rare and valuable goods to be traded all over the continent.

[ Gambino Shipyard/Wharf ]

Undersea Ledge - The labyrinth of ruins of what seems to be a underwater facility. Hidden from view, the area has caves and small facility tunnel making way to the Sealab Compound.

Savic's Shop - To the North of Barton not far from the warf and shipping docks rests a medium sized warehouse of sorts. The building is two stories and extends out into the ocean a little ways while being supported my titanium pillars that dig in a few yards under the sand in the ocean. The exterior of the building looks steel in appearance but is made of a more durable alloy that doesn't rust from the salt air. The whole building is covered in this alloy, also just a little stronger than steel, with the only openings being six large windows on wither side and large double doors on the front and back. The back doors however empty out into the ocean so unless someone uses a boat or swims that is the only way to reach them. Two large cylinders rise from the roof and seem to be a sort of exhaust system for whatever goes on inside. Every now and then they bletch out light grey smoke that quickly evaporates after a few feet. Overall the outside of the building doesn't seem very exciting but the inside is a different matter. The first half of the warehouse is a mechanics garage. Here is where Savic builds every thing mechanical from vehicles to massive engine run tools. This is also where he keeps his metal forge that he uses to build all his metal goods. These will vary from weapons, armor, and parts for bigger things. The forge is a massive oven that is fifteen feet by ten feet. In the section behind the garage is a room straight out of a super villain movie. A massive computer dominates the back of the room with about a dozen large screens and many keyboards.

Heavenly Rest Graveyard - Due north of the great Gambino wall. Just off the beach; there is a certain graveyard sight. With only two by two miles of land; it's not the largest grave yard. But as a ocean front view resting place it's pretty ritzy for the dead. Aside from what tomb stones and crypts are strewn across the grassy landscape, an odd stone shack with swinging saloon style doors is the only real building. There is always a fire burning in this warm cozy cabin. There are cots with pillows and blankets here for the weary. Though mostly only the strange caretaker Arseus and the old cat lady are ever in this hut. She is the hut's keeper, where as he is the gravedigger. Though neither of these two own the grounds. It's owned by the Graves family; the current head of said family being a certain Count Theobaud Graves. Of course this male is almost a legend at best. Though some have said to have seen him when he was found in that coffin at sea so many years ago. They said he is undead. They also say he's the things that nightmares are made of.

-Beneath the scenes under a certain portion of the graveyard [reached by opening a secret panel hidden within a crypt and pulling the switch within] is a stair case leading to the secret facilities of Theobaud Graves. His underground testing labs, prison cells, and living quarters.

The Carnival - On the outskirts of west Barton, there's an old abandoned carnival known to most elder locals, though forgotten in it closed time. It also said to be haunted which only add insult to its injury. Tents littered the environment, just beyond a chain link fence. Accompanying the tents would be the major features of this previously extravagant carnival; The Roller Coaster, The Farris Wheel, The Haunted House, The Bumper Cars, The House of Mirrors, and a few others. The center tent of the mass is the largest, and its where there is a huge stage bands use to play on, surrounded by stadium seating. This stage has been turned into a bar, but still has space for a DJ and for the stage to include a small array of live entertainment. This is where most of the old carnies like to hang out, and the new age thugs that are taking it by storm. Tzak Bishop, The leader of 'The River Styx' gang and currently on a small winning streak, had found this abandoned 'mess', and as it was left as trash, it was found his treasure.

The Heartless Manor- As you make your way along the streets of Barton town, you find yourself upon a stony path leading up a slight incline. As the hustle and bustle of the shops in town fade into the background, you are nearing the outskirts of the market. The stony path becomes less and less pronounced, evidence that you are taking a road less traveled. As you gaze upon the road ahead of you, you find an old Victorian style house directly ahead. Although it is not cold outside, you feel a slight chill in the air as you reach unfamiliar territory. You see a porch light is lit, as well as some lights inside, indicating life and activity. Goosebumps rise on your flesh, but you find the lights oddly comforting, as if promising a better life behind the large oak doors. You now find yourself standing before the steps to the front door, pondering the simple question of whether or not to venture inside. However, the longer you wait the more curious you become about what lies inside. From the shadows, a small creature forms, scurrying before your feet, startling you; a heartless. The creature has peaked your curiosity, and you make the decision to enter. Welcome to the Heartless Manor

Barton Forest - The not-so-creatively named Forest of Barton is a massive and surprisingly pristine wildland once famous for its potent background magical influence and rumors of hidden ruins and treasure troves from times long gone. These days, the scars of the woods are covered in greenery, though less dense and much younger than the trees around them, the woods growing over these sights of past destruction carry a heavy burden that the rest of the forest does not. For, where the combat was most fierce and the destruction most great, it was left to the forest itself to contain the malignant energies that were left behind when the forests guardians left. One entrusted to protect it abandoned the place in favor of his own selfish endeavors, and so Barton Forest was left to fend for itself for years. The Forest stretches along the the borders of Barton and Durem for thousands of miles going further south and getting more dense, stopping only at the edge of the Desert Wastes to the southwest of the continent.

The Forest has been reclaimed in the name of "Babylon" and now it is being cleansed of anything impure by Bane and his team of Lycanthropes enslaving some creatures while they hunted the rest. A large supply of lumber was now available just waiting to be transported back to the Wastes.

Leviathon Stadium - Off on the outskirts of Barton, there exists a large arena with ten story tall walls surrounded by a forest. This stadium is the Leviathan Stadium. It is a place for people to come and test their skills in one of many different arenas, each simulating a different fighting place, ranging from a rocky outcropping, to a grassy plain. Special skills and magic are welcome in this place, though they are to be kept separate from the skill only fighter arenas.Upon entering the huge doors, there is a hallway flanked with pillars on either side. After walking down the hall there is a split in the hall. One path to the left, one to the right, and one going straight.Down the left and right hallways are two large rooms, each containing hundreds of portals with script across them. Each script says the name of the arena the portal will take you to (i.e. Island Arena, Sky Ring, City Scape, Desert Arena, et cetera). There is also a locked door in both rooms. Once you walk down the middle hallway, you see pictures adorning the walls, each of fighters that have been in the arena and spectacular moves they have used. About a hundred feet down the hall is another split. A plaque on the left reads: Hospital/Recovery Room and Guest Rooms. Down that hall, there is a turn to the right that leads to the guest rooms. There are about twenty guest rooms, all large suites. Down at the end are 4 even larger suites that seem big enough to be their own houses. On one of the doors hangs a sign that reads "Kasuga." The Hospital has all of the necessary utensils needed to heal and cure anyone who is anything but dead, this includes those who may need some "extra" recovery.

-[]- Other Locations -[]-

These locations are outside the City limits and the outskirts sometimes hundreds or thousands of miles away but still connected and related to the hub of Gaia that is Barton Town.

Sigil - The City of Doors - Gaia Prime is a world of chaos, a disorganized world of random wonder and unimaginable magic. In one place legions of armored warriors clash in the sweltering heat of battle, while just past the mountain a lich scientist makes a breakthrough on the perpetual motion engine. Cities like the futuristic and cosmopolitan Durem (nicknamed "The City of Bars," for its popular assortment of clubs and pubs) are the hub of commerce. The more quaint mega-suburbs, like Barton, serve as the well-to-do homes for many of Gaia's citizens. However, there is no city like the planar metropolis known as Sigil. Sigil is a city steeped in magic of numerous origins, the Gaian crossroad of the Multiverse. This place is the reason for the presence of elementals and their offspring on Gaia. Bards call Sigil the City of Doors because of the large number of portals scattered throughout, but the locals aren't usually that poetic. To some, the city is a cage because it's tough to leave once you've tasted all that Sigil has to offer...

The City of Durem - From an outsider's perspective, Durem is home to the wealthy, the powerful, and those who ought to be revered. The residents of the city are not so easily fooled by the regal Gothic architecture, steeped in history, and a picturesque skyline consisting of grand spires and imposing cathedrals, for within the walls that protect it, lies a grim truth...Tucked away in the mid-west, it is one of the older cities on the main Gaian continent. Durem is host to advances in the arts, sciences and the occult. Though possessing a well-to-do, aristocratic quarter to the north, the majority of Durem is below the poverty line in modern times. This combination of trickling wealth, founding philosophies and growing crime has led to a volatile situation of mundane and arcane syndicates and forces operating throughout the slums of the city. he City was known to always have something interesting happening good or bad never having a dull moment.

Isle de Gambino - Within the world of Gaia's boundaries, there is no brighter beacon of paradise than the Isle de Gambino. While it possesses many a metropolis in Durem, Barton Town, and Aekea, the Isle de Gambino is the crème de la crème, rich with people, culture, and fortune. Coined by name for the man whose success towers over all as well as his mansion, the Isle de Gambino ensnares the hopes of many who wish to make names for themselves. The isle is the hub of society in Gaia, where the Gaia-famous Marketplace, Gold Mountain Casino, and Gambino Mansion live, breathe, and thrive. The tropical beach locale gives Isle de Gambino fair weather throughout most of the year, and makes it a popular destination for tourists, merchants, and artisans. Lady Luck is thought to be the patron goddess of this island of paradise, where gold changes hands as frequently as dice are rolled and cards are dealt. If there is good fortune to be found in Gaia, anyone who's anyone knows it will be found on Isle de Gambino.

The City of Avalon - This technologically advanced city is not often mentioned, bordering Durem on the south side. Decades ago the underground base called "The Hollow Haven" was established by a legendary commander where he began to secretly create an army of warriors, But his age soon caught up with him and his dreams of making a place for warriors in the world seemed to die with him and the base faded from history becoming a legend in itself. Until a group stumbled upon the abandoned facility just south of Durem and decided to revive it starting their own HQ and establishing a group. The city is very lively but sadly Its infested with crime and many criminal organizations much like Durem north of here. This city is just like any other major city leaving a multitude of places to explore with a large police skyscraper in the very center trying to keeping the relative peace. The Death toll and poverty levels are high making It a very dangerous place to live but vigilantes try to help and thrive so It can be a better place for everyone. The city has potential and Is home to many people of all species and races.

The city is going through a strange series of blackouts causing absolute chaos and is being manipulated and terrorized by a Dark entity, the Warriors of Babylon are thought to be the ones responsible.

The City of Aekea - A dirty, hard-working industrial town. On the surface are the big-name car manufacturers, trucking stops and shipping companies. But let the dust settle and you'll notice the chop-shops and red tape, crooked cops and back-alley deals. Isle De Gambino is where the girls are golden and the merchandise comes in from overseas. Durem is where the goods hit the street and the bosses smoke cigars. Aekea? Aekea's where the black dreams start and business gets done. You're here to work, you're here to make your mark, and you're here to make a deal. The city has been taken over by a growing army of robots created by the mysterious cyborg known only as "Cybernetic X" building and manufacturing more for the Warriors of Babylon. The city still runs the same just with a bit more eyes watching everything and some materials get sent directly to the Wastes to fund their expansion of the area.

The City of Latent Latent is a merchant town located on the eastern shore not too far from the Leviathan Stadium. Though relatively small compared to the sprawling cities of Barton, Durem, and the recently established Aekea, it is one of the oldest settlements in the northeastern lands. The city is composed of a widely varying number of people far and wide, including the native Atlanteans, with around 8,000 inhabitants. During the tournament season Latent's modest population booms as well over 100,000 tourists and fighting enthusiasts converge on the city. Over the years the city's close relationship with the Leviathan Stadium became such a necessity for the town because of the ravaging wars within the lands. Because of this, business has sprouted up within the area. The town is also the home of the Crimson Hawk, and, by extension, the biggest hub of activity for the Heaven or Hell Tournament. Combatants will sometimes wander around the town to get away from the Crimson Hawk's atmosphere, or to meet up with one another for a friendly chat.

The Bloody Dagger - The streets of Durem are sometimes quiet but usually they are teeming with people experiencing the night life and shuffling between the many bars and clubs it has to offer. Some people see a little hole in the wall place in the distance. The front of the bar looks old and rundown as If nobody cares about the facade with the neon "Open" sign flickering on and off and wood panels needing to be fixed. Sometimes fog can fill the streets depending on the weather making it look creepy. The Bloody Dagger is just an ordinary bar looking at it from the outside but looks can be deceiving as Its far from a normal place and was well hidden around a dozen other bars and establishments in the area. The place reeked of spilled beer near the entrance and a few bums had made themselves a home near the side alleyway giving it a bit of character with other parts of the building in need of repair. The bar was bought and renovated recently by a mysterious owner known only as "Vladamir" and tended to shy away from people choosing to hide in the back where the stock and storage was kept. In reality he was using the bar as a simple front for other illegal nefarious business, and he had made a pact with the local Underworld figures and created a safe haven or a cabal of sorts that they could use to meet and discuss in secret. He planned to keep it secret from local population allowing access to only the members with the same intentions as himself. The front bar and back bar would be seperated but both will function normally with people and creatures talking and drinking and simply giving the scenes more life.

King Solomon's Mind:Occult-Bookstore-Antiquities - King Solomon's Mind is Gaia's premier occult relic and bookstore. Filling the niche left in Gaia Commerce, we offer a place to learn, read and interact. We don't have a place to sleep or much food to offer, but we do have more than our share of excitement. Originally located in Halloweentown, the shop was meant to be on the outskirts of Gaia. When the Easter Bunny used the Carrot Nuke to destroy Halloweentown, Ross was forced to move the shop. It took a lot of magic, but we are now at our new location in Durem. Durem is known for its high-end apparel and upscale vibe. As you wander the cobblestone streets, you see the infamous "Sniper Clocktower". Located in its shadow is a small two story building. Not as dark and creepy as its predecessor, the new building is much cleaner and elegant. It is important to know that the whole building is warded with spells to prevent any murder within its walls. Injuries will happen, so we can't stop someone from being hurt, but nobody can die. Even a fatal blow is useless. Someone could literally cut off your head and you'd still be walking and talking with your head in your hands. Only three things have the power to kill within the buildings "God", "Death", and Ross. We want to make you aware of this, so you won't bother to try. You're free to try out the objects, read the books and explore the building. It's not large, but it's nice and roomy. Flop down on a couch and read, but please avoid trying to destroy anything within the property, most of the items found here are one of a kind and irreplaceable. Basically, we're asking you to avoid blowing up the building with a poweful attack, though the occasion explosion may be heard from the potions cauldron.

Fal'Lain: Elven Nation - Once an ancient city in the nestled forest of the Great White Trees, now a bustling nation consisting of not only those of the Elven variety but many other races as well. Where battlefields were, stands towns with the most modern technology just inside the Gaia Highlands area outside of Main Gaia Primus. Access is available to everyone and with good reasons. With new people bring new ideas to the main commerce of the area: Technology. If you have an idea, bring it and it will be made whole in your hands. A bustling place of inns, bars and shops, there is always something to do in Fal'lain and it isn't limited to the modern joys. Along the booming nation, running along the border is the Glencoe River where water activities vary. The general law and authority of Fal'lain is by the Fëaorne family, or the Royal Family. In case of minor crimes, the Court takes care of it though hefty crimes are judged by the current monarch and the entirety of the family as well. Fal'lain is built within the thick forest of the Grand White Trees in which the species of tree grow tall and wide enough that they can be carved into and remain able to grow through the centuries. The Deeper within the city you go, the bigger the trees get and the grandest of the trees is home to the Fëaorne family, otherwise known as the 'Palace'. Other homes are built within the open areas available when trees that had grown too old had been severed down to be made into homes, office buildings, etc. Basically, a city made of trees and modern materials. As you move from the highlands to the Royal District, the cluster of homes moves from thick in the downtown to thinned out as you get closer to the Palace.

Algenia - This is considered an advanced nation where the quality of life is high, people are mostly content, and technology is well progressed. Possessing one of the strongest militaries in the world, it is no surprise that it acts as a major hub for trade, international relations, and other important worldly procedures. Algenia is like the United States or the England of Earth, a prospering country that has its hands in many global affairs and acts as an unofficial police. This is a government that follows democracy principles but with a subset of authoritarianism. The people can vote on city-level affairs or other minor laws and bills, but the appointment of city leaders, the council, and the president himself are mostly handled by those already in power. City leaders can still be elected by the majority of the people, but there is no guarantee that their votes will not be manipulated by behind-the-scenes skewing. Although this makes this government seem like its power is absolute, the people can still participate in free market, creating their own businesses and striving for success. The only check is made by the government’s financial sector, the ARS (the Algenia Revenue Service), to make sure money flow is kept documented and taxes are paid appropriately. The economy is ran mostly by the public and their businesses, with the goods and services they provide. The government acts as a governing moderator, keeping track of flow of money and spending being dealt on both a federal and city level. The ARS acts as a liberating body that makes sure taxes are made and paid by the citizens, needing yearly tax documentations by everyone. This is a system that has voluntary action due to the large amount of people the country has, but it’s encouraged, as those who try to avoid performing this service can end up in jail for tax evasion if caught. This holds especially true for those who are wealthy. The study of magic in Algenia is as strong as the technology that drives the machinations of life in the country. However, magic requires extensive training and study to master, and is considered one of the high tier fields of study up there with mathematics. Dangerous use of magic can lead to many consequences, including death, so only the willing mostly pursue the art of manipulating reality.

Ageris - A southern continent of Gaia, Ageris is roughly the size of Earth's Europe. The continent is primarily defined into three major areas by a wall of daunting mountains. To the north is a temperate heavily wooded lands, to the east vast rolling planes, and to the south increasingly cold locales that terminate in an arctic tundra. In addition to a variety of different climates the land also has a few active volcanoes, most notably Mt. Alna. The people of Ageris span a wide range of types, from the typical human to exotic Outsiders from other dimensions. Due to an overabundance the most common type of person to run into is a human. Each culture and area treats the races differently depending on their relations and history. Overall, pretty much anyone can expect to be given a fair shake in matters of law. Demographics also vary by region as noted in their particular entries. While the exact particulars of law vary from region to region, the peoples of Ageris have come to agree on a few central themes. Each of the treaty signing member nations and city states upholds the laws to the best of their ability. There are more rural areas or rogue powers that interpret the law in wildly different ways, but they are rare. The general laws cover:
- Individual liberty
- Personal protection
- Protection of property, right to own property

The Rock Fist Fighting League - North West of Durem amongst the Pine Forests and Mountain ranges is where this mighty group of people call home. The Guild Itself was carved into the side of a cliff with mountains all around inside a vast valley making it a very difficult journey for one but the view alone is worth the hike. Because of their location they have little influence on the Political World of Gaia and many don’t know they exist but for those who do know, they are aware of what is with in this Guild. Rich air and fresh scents make this place a wonderful location to train and the rich environment provides unique weather and wild conditions so lovely one would never want to leave. The Rock Fist Guild is built into a 100 meter tall cliff side that slopes down north and the doors of Rock Fist face exactly south. Around the doors is a massive grassy plain that stretches in a half circle, going out over 200 Meters before it hits the tree line, there the tall grass meets a massive Pine Forest that stretches across the entire Valley for a good 4 miles before it meets Mountains. To the East of the Guild at 1.3 Miles is what is called the Yukara Lake, the glacial waters is frigid temperatures all year round with a waterfall and a small creek that winds its way due south. West of the Guild is 5 miles of Pine Forest but inside that forest lays a silent and forgotten graveyard with crypts that stretch 2 miles down into the earth. A vast honeycomb of tombs that reek with thousands of years of death and lost souls, the secrets of this Grave remain a mystery for a reason. North of the Guild is the sloping Cliff Side and at the base a large stone pillar that has no markings or emblems on it. Made of simple stone it is a beacon of hope for many and the nameless reason it stands for, beyond it lays a field of boulders that reaches 50 meters before coming across more pine forest that stretches to the north wall of the valley.

Wind-fall Islands - Wind-Fall Isle s a very unique phenomenon by conventional terms. The entire “city” sits atop a floating piece of land, located high in the Stratosphere. This location of course provides an astonishing vantage point over the earth below, and the persistently dark sky above. It is impossible to be mapped as the isles are constantly moving across the sky. Getting to the floating islands and the city therefore is left to those with the ability to access it, whatever that may be. The Island that floats atop the center island is the largest, but also the most uninteresting. This island itself isn't necessarily considered a part of 'Windfall" but is the hub of most of the activity that goes on around the islands. It is ten miles across and ten miles wide, shaped in an irregular oval shape. It is an entirely flat plain with grass, this is where the "Rave" resides. A place for people to unwind and plan their bouts. The other islands are used primarily for fighting as they all are somewhat non conducive to run a bar. But the Gale Island and the Tide island are often used for recreational activities as well.

Wastes of Babylon Almost a decade ago the forces of Gaia's Government with the help of Law Enforcement, and Supernatural Strike Teams had to step in and thin the growing population of the Organization Military (O/M) and Free for All (FFA) areas of the map because of heavy unrest between the population and a multitude of never-ending War's that seemed to have no end. Many of the powerful groups were disbanded because of this and some warriors seemed to disappear and vanish entirely as the neglected land withered and dried up leaving only remnants of its glorious past that was full of conflict and teeming with life compared to its current state. The Wastes are located just south of the industrial city of Aekea and consists of mostly dry desert land for thousands of miles with an oasis or two for some greenery and water, a few abandoned and dead buildings litter the landscape showing how desolate and dead the O/M and FFA of Gaia was now.

Hell's Stride - Cathedral - The gigantic structure towers above the crooked rafters of town, it's dismal bone white ominous feculence perpetually frozen in time. Abandoned, or so it would seem in lonely stance, even among the night lights. Rumors burn through the throats of locals, the demons who haunt the immense abbey of so called saints. Killers, all of them. It's said the building is the inverted of it's original purpose, many have come and never left it's gaping doors. Fighters roam there in droves, a domain of sorts has formed beneath the deity, an unholy religion. There have been a few recent additions to the Cathedral. There is a statue of a large bear fighting some kind of Dragon in the main hallway. The cathedral itself was expanded when Chartres rebuilt it. There is now a proper medical wing, and the catacombs have expanded as well. There is a pair of small side doors inside the main hall on either side of the entrance. These doors may only be opened during tournaments and they will transport you to the Arena (guild thread) where you can spectate or participate in any current events. Whenever there is not an event in progress these doors simply open to a brick wall. It is also said that the spirit of Chartres itself roams these halls. It contains the spirit and power of every fighter that has died on the grounds of the Cathedral. It wears a mask over its hundred faces. No one has seen its true face.. and lives to tell the tale.

Basalt: The City of Ash - On the mountainous western coast of the continent of Ageris exist a City state born from the ruins of Fire and Ash. Dour, geometric architecture built with grey basalt and black obsidian glass dot the coast line at the foot of a great smoking mountain, making for a grim but memorable sight to all who approach its docks. The smell of sulfur and salt sea intermingle to form a unique aroma that permeates the entirety of the City. The sea surrounding the city is a unique dark blue and the skies above are grey with smoke and ash. A somber mood clouds Basalt, so when Visitors learn that the City is in fact a massive grave, it does not seem to surprise them. The City spans about 6000 square miles in the shadow of Mt. Atma. The mountain behind the City is one of the tallest mountains and Active volcanoes on the continent, around 10,000 ft. High. Around 2 million people claim permanent residency within the City State. Beneath the city is a world of a much grander scale that is said to span out beneath the nearby ocean and beneath the mountain itself. This was the kingdom of the Old Sorcerer kings that was buried beneath fire and Ash. These multi-tiered ruins have at least 10000 square miles of total space, but only a small percentage of this has actually been excavated.

-[ Gaia New's ]-

( This is were certain events or news will be covered, from the local newspaper to the channel nine news team. Also anything recent or relevant will be listed to keep people updated. )

arrow Homicide's have occurred in the quiet Town of Barton, strange sighting's of "Brown Hooded" men have been sighted in the area and have lead some to believe this may be the work of "The Marauder's" a local group of ruthless forest bandit's. Two unidentified men have been accused of the crime and are awaiting a decision from the Baron himself located to the North in "Barton Keep". More new's as it develop's....

arrow To the South of Barton has seen an increase in Gang activity around the massive "Barton Height's Apartment Complex" located opposite the "Gaia Suburbs". The BPD police force is doing their very best to send out routine patrol's but dont seem to have the manpower to survey and contain the sudden spike in murder's and shoot out's. They urge anyone with any law enforcement experience to apply and sign up, they promise some benefits and a large bonus for any criminals that the new recruits detain or manage to take off the street's permanently.

arrow Earlier in the week a transport truck delivering Jewel's and Gem's to "Barton Jeweler's" was attacked and robbed outside the Town wall's by masked men driving a Black Van. They drove into Town and even managed to evade special agent "Chen Ning" who made a valiant attempt to stop them even jumping on the van itself as it drove recklessly through the narrow streets. They are believed to be hiding in the "Industrial District" of Town possibly using an abandoned warehouse, they are still at large and considered armed and highly dangerous. More information on the situation will be given when it develops....

arrow The Ninja Clan's of Gaia still seem to be at odd's with each other as many of them have been seen scouting or dueling each other to the "West" of Barton hiding in the dense forest region. The Authorities and the "Barton Regulator's" urge local's of the Town not to engage them and to report any activity about them in case of a war or conflict breaking out between the multiple groups. They are not considered great threats to the community but they are known to wage war's for honor and territory and sometimes innocents can get caught in the crossfire.

arrow More Ghost's and Undead have been heard or sighted late at night lurking in "Barton Hollow" and the "Cemetery" beyond that. The cause of this increase in Undead creatures has not been determined but some believe its the "Headless Knight" who has haunted the area for centuries, we warn civilian's and local's to not walk through the Hollow at night and some of the Clergy and other Holy organizations are gathering members together to try and bless or cleanse the area of the foul monsters. Anyone with Holy or Light power's would be greatly appreciated, though we still urge that anyone form a tight knit group before attempting to do this alone....

arrow The Gaia Crime Family's have resurfaced and are starting to silently dispatch each other's members. The Romani and Saint Crime Family's have occupied their old mansions located in the Northern "Barton Estates" and their underlings have been spotted wandering about Town extorting certain businesses.
Warning: Do not attempt to detain these people, simply call the Police or inform Leon or your nearest Regulator Guard and they will handle the situation. The Dragonetti, De-Angelo, and Corelli criminal organizations are also believed to be active again and the BPD are on alert keeping a watchful eye on their activities.

arrow Located in the Suburb's of Barton a local man was murdered in a dark alleyway, his legs were broken and he was stabbed in the stomach. It appears he had high levels of alcohol in his system leading some to believe a drunken altercation, though the police have other ideas believing it to be a contract on that persons life. The case is still open and if you have any tips call the BPD station or contact agent "Chen Ning" with your information. More new's as it develop's....

arrow Within the walls of Barton Town right under the noses of the Regulators a Werewolf has murdered one of the Royal Guard and dragged him off into the night. Barton New's Service's "Natalie Pierce" was a witness to this gruesome act prompting local authorities to take action. The Police have joined forces with the Regulators and have contacted the organization of Werewolf Hunters to help them contain this new threat, they will patrol the streets of Town at night until the creature has been dealt with. It has not been verified if this is the work of a larger group or "Pack" of Wolves, and until that changes this will be treated as a isolated incident of a Feral Werewolf attack.
Warning: Any residents that live within the walls must be aware of this recent threat and know that only Silver weapons or bullets may help them. At night and during a full moon would be the most dangerous times to leave your homes.

Everything was all so new to her. Well, new to her again; her memories of Gaia had been wiped out a long time ago, during the Rite of her Passing. Now she was back again, sent by the leader of the Justice Crusade. He never really sent her with a clear explanation of what her goal was, but he had mentioned that it was very important that she keep her eyes wide and ears open to anything suspicious or otherwise 'threatening' to the land they called Gaia. An' what a land that was! There were so many different character types she'd run into along the way; beautifully kind hearted people, peoples whose souls were filled with hatred or greed, incredibly happy beings, and those who were undeniably miserable. The colors were so vibrant and the fashions were so overwhelming, but the angel was enjoying every bit of every thing that Gaia had to offer.

Now, Bambi stood at the edge of Bass'ken Lake with a smile on her face, watching the waters gently slosh against the shore line. The sky overhead was a perfect blue, clear of any clouds, thick or whispy. The sounds of birds and bait hitting the water filled the air and calmed the senses; a light odor of fish and flowers made for a unique experience. Bambi's attention was grabbed though when she heard a constant little beeping down emitting from her, cream colored head-wings fluttering a bit as the angel reached into the pocket of her navy tunic and pulled out a small crystal device. Shortly after, a hologram of her Crusade leader appeared before her with some information about his whereabouts; well, there would be had he been on Gaia and not in the heavens.

"Bambi, have you seen any signs of aggression in nearby creatures? Perhaps any unusual hostility from the people?" questioned the commander.

"Nothing," Bambi responded as she mulled over the past events from the last few days. "I have picked up on a rather unnerving tremor once though. It was in the center of the town they call Barton. I was unable to locate anything unusual though."

The commander was silent for a moment before he nodded finally. "Very well. Keep it up and my Gaia bless you," he answered finally, the device shutting off once Bambi said her goodbye as well. She tucked the object back into her pocket before she looked down at the water and smiled again, leaning over to remove her boots so that she could step in, knowing her stockings would dry off quickly.

"It's so nice here. I think this is my favorite place so far!" she mused to herself, waving to a fisherman across the shore.
Location: The Fountain

Misery Mallory had fallen into the fountain.

Actually, it was a much longer story than that, involving an ocelot and a garden gnome and a lot of high-pitched screeching on her part, but, in the end: she was in the fountain. She was soaked, and cold, and seriously considering remaining in the fountain until such a time as she could be sure that no one was going to be crepuscular at her.

She looked to be wearing the sort of dress someone might wear to a very nice dinner party, if the dress had not been rather thoroughly mangled at some point. Her arms gave the impression that she'd lost a fight with a weedwacker, and she probably would not object terribly to the misapprehension.

She sneezed, not the sort of delicate and kittenish sneeze one might expect from such a dainty nose, but the sort of sneeze that echoed off of buildings and sent bacterial contamination flying a good half mile. "Excuse me," she said to no one, because though she was damp and miserable and tormented by ocelots, Misery Mallory was never rude.

Her right shoe was missing, the left lens of her glasses had cracked, and her skirt had absorbed approximately ten pounds of water. It was going to be a long walk home.

The Town of Barton was much quieter and laid back compared to most of the other cities and the lack of traffic from car's and smog clouding the air happened to be one of the reasons that Taifu decided to move his belongings here after he relocated. It wasnt exactly a reluctant relocation in the first place and he had to leave alot of items behind forcing him to start over, but this didnt really bother the half white half asian wandering warrior in the least since it suited his lifestyle and attitude well for now.

He was lazily leaning along one of the buildings in the beautiful Barton Square watching people walk around and shop a bit letting his eyes wander checking out where their hands were placed and if they had any purses dangling freely, he was a thief by trade and had lightning fast reflexes though it could be said he doesnt take from the less fortunate but then again he usually keeps and hoards it to himself greedily.

The sound of a splash gained his attention as he brushed his hair away from his face and took notice of a young woman who seemed to have fallen in the fountain in the middle of town making him slightly curious as to how she had gotten there in the first. The mysterious man's attire was very traditional japanese clothing but there were also traces of chinese ancestry aswell leaving some people unsure of his actual nationality or what techniques he knew but regardless he didnt look like very much of a threat.

He noticed she was not getting up and seemed embarrassed for falling in while he heard a few faint giggles from bystanders prompting him to frown and get up from the wall approaching Mallory to try and see if he could help her situation.

"Um bless you Miss, here do you need a hand?" Taifu said with a warm smile letting his face be shown as his facemask draped along his chest and he reached out towards her with his open right hand ready to help pull her out of the fountain knowing she was probably cold and drenched. He also liked this place because the people seemed a bit nicer and reluctant to help and be friendly towards their fellow Gain's upholding old traditions where other places around Gaia had their own reputations.

"Thank you very much," she said immediately to his blessing, rubbing at her nose with the back of her hand. Her arm flailed, reaching for his hand, failing a few times before her palm managed to smack against his and her fingers tightened to cling to him. "I am very sorry for any inconvenience and I hope this isn't trespassing but in my defense there were extenuating circumstances like the lawn gnome although I suppose there are extenuating circumstances for most crimes probably." She yanked at his arm, launching herself out of the fountain and subsequently stumbling so as to land on her hands and knees on the cobblestones.

She sneezed again, her voluminous skirt pooling around her and forming a puddle beneath her. Golden strands of hair stuck to her freckled face, her glasses fallen to the tip of her nose. "Thanks again," she added, sniffling.

[ Its ok Gaia does that sometimes. ]

"Oh im flattered Miss but no Barton isnt mine. The Powerful "Baron of Barton" own's the Town somewhat but the beautiful center square is free for all people of Gaia to enjoy and explore." He replied to her seeing that she was very new to this area or a bit naive but thankfully Taifu was good natured and wasnt looking to take advantage of that and instead would help to inform or assist her since she seemed to need a little help. He stepped back once she flopped out of the fountain and splashing a little water around prompting him to want to help the drenched accident prone young woman even more and since no one else was he might as well see that she makes it home and gets into some dry clothing.

"Ah so you got chased by those pesky "Animated" still running around, that explains why you ended up in the fountain." Taifu said as he once again held out his right hand for her to help her from her low kneeling position hoping she lived somewhere nearby. They had many clothing stores and even a dry cleaners tucked somewhere in the area but sadly Taifu's resident didnt really exist at the current moment, Barton Town was his new home but he was more of a bum for now staying where he could and even sleeping under trees at night just until he found a more permanent place.

"Your welcome Miss, and my names Taifu nice to meet you. Usually the armored guards keep the animated creatures at bay, I'll be sure to do a little patrolling and inform them so this doesnt happen." He said with a smile seeing that she was an innocent and apparently prone to bad luck which he could relate to especially at this moment in his life. Taifu could be a gentleman when needed and he had matured alot over the years putting to rest his constant girl chasing and compulsive stealing turning into a more mild mannered thief and scout.
