Khali cursed her slow form, normally she was an even match for Salix's speed but as it was she could barely follow his movements, glad that this wasn't a real fight. She growled when his foot stopped her mid swing and before she could react his fist connected with her stomach. She let out a grunt, her stomach wasn't very well protected, and then in that same instant Salix had put distance between them. The smell of fire and smoke filled the air, had she not been born of fire herself her eyes and nose would be burning, but she coughed and squinted for the sake of the 'performance'.

Khali turned a grin into a sneer, she knew the old man and the town he had been talking about and it had brought back fond memories but now wasn't the time for such things. "I'll make you eat those words demon", she spat the word as a curse as many had done at her through her life. She charged in again holding her sword out to the side, when she was close enough she feigned a horizontal swing and instead lunged at his torso. The tip of her blade suddenly pulled to the side grazing his side, the heat in the blade instantly cauterizing the wound. Not used to this body entirely she had to much momentum from her charge and used her speed to slam her shoulder into Salix. To keep herself from falling on top of him she kept moving past him, more shoving him from her way then anything. With a few quick steps and a few turns she was facing him from a few feet away. Without hesitation she gripped her sword tightly feeling for the fire that was withing it and started swinging her sword in various crisscrosses, each swing sending a blade of flames towards Salix.

Of course she wasn't aiming for him entirely most were actually meant to fly off in random directions, towards the fort, into the forest, into the open field to start more fires. By the end of it she had closed in on Salix again swinging her sword downwards at his head only to have it blocked but his broken sword. Despite the fight being fake, she still felt the urge to win, and she pushed down with all her strength. Soon the blades were a cross between them, her own force having pushed his guard lower but not breaking it. "I'll send you back to the depths of hell you crawled from" she said unable to hide her grin, fighting always got her in a good mood, but to anyone else it would just seem like she was arrogant and assured of her victory. She just hoped Salix would pick up on her que for him to make his retreat. She couldn't see what was happening beyond the veil of smoke but it didn't sound good.

_____________Allant:

Allant was about to launch his weapon at the woman as she avoided his attack, but the quick intervention of Natsuo halted him in his tracks. The way he slammed into the snake almost made him question the loyalty among the knights. The hellspawn took a step back, his guard still up as he eyed the phoenix. Suppressing a growl Allant's gaze wandered passed Natsuo to the thick black smoke that was beginning to recede, revealing Salix and Khali battling, a grimace marring his features. 'This could prove...problematic.'

His attention was brought back to the attacker in front of him, the phoenix swung his fists, Allant weaved under the first strike, he could feel the heat of the flame, as well as the closeness of the attack, it sent a chill up the demon's spine. Immediately Allant stepped in, getting inside of Natsuo's guard, and raised his arm, his forearm connecting with the inside of Natsuo's elbow, successfully halting the attack. A quick shift of the feet allowed Allant to reposition himself, his back to the battle between Khali and Salix, and shove the phoenix back.

There were too many things that could go wrong now, if they continued, chances were both he and Salix would be over powered, if only by the sheer amount of them; there was no need to stay any longer, seeing as their job was done, the lumber, and their tower was burned to the ground, even with the phoenix snuffing out the flame, the damage had been done. Allant grinned and spoke, his words inaudible to all but one being. "Cerberus!" He leapt back as the ground under him erupted, sending rocks and dust skyward, an earth shaking roar resonated for miles all around. The dust cleared and where Allant had once beem, stood a towering beast. Three heads, with fur as black as obsidian and claws sharper than steel, each head growling viciously, gnashing at those who threatened their master.

Allant gave a small grin and waved his hand to the large beast, "Devour them." He turned and rushed toward the waning smoke screen, entrusting the immortal guardian to cover his and Salix's escape. Allant disappeared into the smog and immediately drew his sword on Khali, swiping at her quickly, trusting her to dodge before turning to the wind demon, "I believe we've over stayed our welcome..." Without another word he clapped the demon on the shoulder as an indication to retreat before darting off the way they came. Once they were far enough, if they didn't destroy it's mortal form, cerberus would retreat back to hell on its own.

Natani had just landed on the balls of her feet, not even having time to get her footing when a powerful force slammed into her and sent her rolling across the ground. She groaned as she pushed herself up, her sword a few feet away from her where it had fallen out of her hand. Her yellow eyes then shifted to where she had been and they narrowed. Natsuo had used his powers on her so that he could take her fight. Her eyes flared with anger and her pupils became narrow slits as she crawled over and grabbed her sword, standing and brushing the soot and dirt off herself. She growled deeply, but jumped back as the demon summoned a large beast. She knew what it was right away, cleaning the dirt from her blade and running her tongue along it quickly. This beat could not be killed, but it could be injured, and she was not about to let Natsu treat her like some helpless child. She threw herself at the beast, going under it rather then for it's face. She took her sword, and sank the demon steel weapon deep into it's leg.

Salix let out a guttural roar when he felt the blade slice through his torso it went deep, deeper then it was intended to, it was instantly being cauterized by the fire with in the blade. Only for Khalis shoulder to be slammed into his chest sending him flying backwards. Landing in a three point stance Salix barley had time to breath before the next wave attacks came. Blades of fire being thrown at him, Salix dodged under one and then spun over another and sidestepped out of the way of the others, letting them fly off into the distance. By time the barrage was over Khali had closed the gap with the wind demon once more. Bringing her blade down in a slash at his head. Trying to block it with his own sword he growled as he could see the the crack spreading further out from where it had been.

The blond narrowed his eyes at her comment of 'sending him back to hell' and it all clicked. As she kept forcing his guard lower and lower he tilted his blade toward the ground and then spun around effectively avoiding the attack at the cost of more of his weapons integrity. As he was spinning he slashed his other blade around at her, not fully extending his arm, just enough to cut some hair from her head. He rolled backwards putting more distance between them. ”I may be going back to hell but I'll be taking as many of you with me as I can.” He smirked as Allant then came through the smoke slashing at Khali. He clasped his hand around Salix's shoulder and more or less said it was time to go.

Looking to where Allant had just ran from he saw Cerberus, about to do combat with the mass amount of people that had shown up. Turning to run his head shifted to the burning forest, that Khali had reignited. Salix sheathed his swords and started to run after Allant. 'One... he started to count off in his head, while clasping his hand to his side in pain, from the recently cauterized wound. '...Two... Salix looked back as the familiar black smoke began to fill the air again. Turning his attention forward he picked up the pace of running now falling in line right beside Allant. Feeling the wound reopen with every step. He suddenly changed his direction, heading off in a different direction then Allant was running. Better to split up in case they were followed. And Allant didn’t need Salix slowing him down.

'...Three' The spheres/mines Salix had planted earlier started to go off as the fire reached them, one after the other. As they went off they would send blades of wind outward along with shrapnel from the burning trees. The flaming wood spikes would be many and numerous flying every which way unable to predict their path or trajectory as they would be bouncing off of one another. And being carried by the force of the explosion you would probably have almost no time to react. But worse yet to worry about were the splinters that would most likely come right before the bigger shrapnel. Having the potential to blind or stun. The fire would also be tossed deeper into the woods, Causing the forest fire to rage far out of control. The remaining supplies that had mines in them would explode becoming less dangerous shrapnel, but effectively destroying the rest of the supplies. And a final mine placed under the solider he killed earlier, placed closer to the tents and the rest of the workers. As this one would go off, it would send metal shrapnel, blood and bits of bone, along with blades of wind hurling towards the tents and the rest of the workers. Along with Cerberus there, it was bound to be a bloody good show.

Salix clenched his side tighter as he arrived to a small clearing in the woods. Blood gushed from his hand, growling he fell to one knee the wound Khali had inflicted him with earlier went deeper then he had thought. And it didn't help with all the magic he used during the battle today, He drew a small glyph on the ground using a mix of his blood and dirt. It glowed brightly Salix's vision was starting to go black, Coughing up blood as he tried to focus. He managed to infuse a small amount of magic with out knocking himself out for the trip back.

Everything was a blur, As he approached the gates he held himself up on the side wall by leaning on his shoulder.'God damn that woman, when I see her again I will suffocate the shadows from her! This trip to Lucifer would probably be the most daunting of his task. As demons swarmed to blood, whether it was human, demon, higher ranking or lower. As the gates opened Salix grimaced as he moved his free hand to his sword. Allant wouldn’t be able to help him, hell he didn't even know where Allant was, Or if he even got back. But this was how lower ranking demons went up in rank, they preyed upon the higher ranking demons when they were returning while injured. If he couldn’t make it to Lucifer he was as good as dead.

Physically, mentally, emotionally, Salix was drained in every way. He began his decent into the demon pit. His eyes steadily shifting back from one demons face to another. Stumbling every few steps and coughing up more blood. Around the third time he stumbled a demon lunged out at him Salix took the hit on the shoulder, he eyes narrowed at the demon as he unsheathed his sword silently and sent it through the demons abdomen. Twisting it he brought his foot up and kicked the demon back sending himself down on his a** as well. Standing up quickly and waving his sword wildly he was starting to loose conciseness. He brought his eyes up to meet his destination once more. And began to move slowly toward it. Shamble was more like it. Blood running down his chin, tunic in shreds a freshly festering wound on his shoulder and a gash that was bleeding on the inside. He was surprised one of the Crimson Reavers in his squad weren’t out here after him.

He finally came to the door to the throne room and as it opened he took a step inside and collapsed, onto the floor barley able to keep himself awake he lost all control of his body. Turning his eyes back at the door as it closed, he sighed in relief. And then he waited for Lucifer to descend upon him.

___________Feeling himself being pushed away, Natsuo flicked his right wrist, inflicting a shallow cut on Allant’s arm, a mere warning that he wouldn’t let him escape. He caught his balance before he fell over, eyes quickly falling on the demon before he proceeded to continue. However, the demon persisted on running, summoning a pet to take his place. The phoenix only glanced at Nani for a brief second before darting off in pursuit, easily catching up to Allant. he didn’t speak as he chased, there wasn’t even a logical thought within him at this moment. He could only picture death, ripping this creature limb from limb, his blades effortlessly whittling his life away. Allant would not escape, and if he couldn’t capture him alive, he’d bring in his corpse. His heart rate only increased as this horrid hatred continued to writhe within him, a small cloak of flame surrounding him as he was slowly incapable of holding back his rage. he moved forward with the intent to murder, to decimate the one responsible. Even though a low, ferocious growl escaped him, Natsu’s expression did not change, still the callous, blank stare of a man without remorse.

It took a bit but he was finally able to cut the b*****d off. Despite him having to move at his highest speed to make sure he caught up, his breaths were oddly calm, not even staggered, as if the run had no effect on him at all. His eyes were still focused solely on the being in front of him. hands tightly clenched around the hilts of his blade. His teeth sank into his bottom lip as he began to lose his cool physically, rage slowly cracking the mask he had worked so hard to maintain. It all peaked as the cloak that had formed around him began to pulse, flaring wildly once before it all receded. There wasn’t much on his mind at that moment, Natsu only able to focus on plunging his blade in the bastards chest. He darted forward quickly, using his pure raw speed to close the distance, bringing his right hand downwards in a stabbing motion aimed for the top of his head while the left swept to the right, blade pointed for his neck.

Aurora nearly fell out of the tree at Froz's words, quite surprised by the boy's presence as she had not noticed him earlier. She had known Froz for awhile and, like Hizaki, he had a strange mana aura. He obviously was trying hard to hide that he was an angel, but she had never mentioned this to him before. She gave him a little more notice than most others she met, if only because of his relationship with Natani. She laughed a bit, taking a few pieces of the candy he was eating, popping a few into her mouth. The candies he had were chewy and she finished them in no time. "If it was dangerous here, then explain your presence." she smirked back. Aurora didn't wait for the response as attention changed back to the action taking place before her. As she watched Salix limp away with his wounds, she felt like chasing him. If not for the large three headed dog appearing out of nowhere, she would have very easily took off after him. The sudden presence of the beast was to be expected in such a losing battle, but what confused her was Natsuo's abandonment of Natani.

She began to weight the options on whether to step in and help, but her eyes then were alerted to the sudden explosions near her. Shrapnel, wind, and debris exploded near many important resource locations. She looked back at Natani and where Natsuo had charged off to, afraid of leaving them where they could get hurt. Biting her lower lip, she rushed back across the field, as the explosions continued. She felt wind and wood chips bite her arms and legs as she avoided large debris in the sudden windstorm. It was settling quickly, but she had to focus, searching for weak aura signatures. Finding a group she started in that direction, part of her wanting to seriously run at full speed, but in this form that was impossible.

As she approached the group, they were stuck under large pieces of tree trunks. She pushed as hard as she could, but found that only the smaller of the pieces could be moved in her current form. She glanced around, then began healing the workers who she freed. "I know you're still rattled, but please help me!" She again tried to push the larger pieces off the still trapped workers. The ones who she had healed finally began to help, and soon, she had a group of eight who began to follow her to different destruction sites. Finally, with everyone who was seriously harmed healed, she began to look for Queen Helena, hoping that she was alright.

When she asked him to explain himself he smiled as he pokes her cheek."Cause I suppose to be here if I am needed."He said sensing something big appearing from the shadows. He felt the presence of the hellhound as he jumps from the tree.

Lucifer had been watching the fight, though in her clouded scrying details were blurred and sometimes it was just plain wrong. Though many facts were confirmed when Salix practically fell through her doors. She waved away the images of the surface casually walking to stand over Salix, she quickly surveyed his body seeing the wounds and wondering how much had been from the staged fight. "You took your act a little further then I would have expected of you Salix..." she said noting the blood that had stained most of his torso and partially down his "I hope all this blood wasn't lost in vain". She let the statement hang in the air, it was obviously a question even though she didn't phrase it as one, her tone implied more of a threat of his possible failure.

Salix managed to lift his head, coughing blood as he moved his head to a better angle to breath. ”My only failure...” He struggled to move his body to sit up, He managed to get himself to his knees. ”...Is I lost track of your son” Salix moved his hand to his side. Pain shooting through every fiber of his body. Taking a deep breath to try and calm himself. ”But The building site is in ruins, all materials are destroyed...” Coughing up more blood as he clenched at his side harder. ”...And the ground is now unstable, the forest burns still as we speak, and Kahli her facade is sold.” Salix let his forhead rest on the cold ground letting his blood run through his hair. He stayed as still as possible waiting for Lucifer to respond. Hoping that his performance was sufficient. Salix had yet to fail her on a mission and he didn't want to start now.

Lucifer smiled, pleased with his answer "my son's fate is his own, you have fulfilled your mission and for that you shall be rewarded", she sat on her knees next to Salix. With ease she pulled him into her lap, his head resting on her chest and lower back on her thighs. Her armor shifted around her chest so his head rested on flesh instead of armor, she stroked his blood caked hair like a mother would to console her child. Like she had done for Allant when he was still a child in human terms. "Now rest, when you wake you will be bestowed with more fitting weapons", then she started to sing. She let one hand rest on Salix's chest feeling his heart beat as the fluid and beautiful notes filled the air, within seconds her hand glowed red as if from an inner light. She could feel every vain of his body, every muscle, she searched for the major wounds. When she found it it was like finding a cut you didn't know you had and only hurting upon its discovery, though she gave no sign of the pain. Her voice did not waiver as she started to mend the gash, it would leave a scar but it would still hurt as though it were healing of its own.

Khali instantly gave chase not wanting to show hesitation in perusing Salix, though she wasn't sure how far she would have to chase him to be convincing or what type of wound she might need to inflict on herself. The decision was made for her when the mines exploded, the thunderous sound followed by a hail of splintered wood and rock catching her off guard. She never saw the long splinter of a tree trunk that impaled her shoulder, she barely remembered hitting the ground. It took all her focus to maintain her human form with the sudden adrenalin urging her to change form to fight and live. She lay on the ground her vision slowly blurring as she watched mine after mine explode, feeling the ground shake beneath her. The ringing in her ears made it hard to focus on any one sound, the mine must have been closer then she thought. She saw the chaos of debris flying through the air, mixed with body parts and blood. She couldn't help but smile at their success just before the darkness that had been threatening her vision finally become complete and she passed out.

Hizaki Moriah

We are a dying Breed, so love us while we’re here
Don’t miss us when we are gone.

Maro and Moro: Fear us or else

As the demons ran, he stood there as the dust passed over him. He stood still and rugged as it blew passed him. Maro and Moro clanged to Hizaki so they would not be blow off, several rocks hit him only to be stopped by his body. He was wounded by a few of the shards of stone as he sighs softly. Seeing as the demons left he waited until the dust clear before he moved, Looking to his left then his right as Maro and Moro was fine as they was shaking the dust and debris off them. He smiled softly as he was happy they was unharmed.
Sensing Khali gave chase he followed, he stops slowly where he body dropped, kneeling down to her. Maro and moro jumps on her and looks at Hizaki."No she isn't dead...She just passed out."He knew the twins was curious. Hizaki gently scoops Khali up as he walked off with her taking her to the nearest camp. He lays down near a wall so he could mend her wounds.
It took him some time but he managed to bandaged her wounds, so now he waited. Maro and moro entrained themselves by playing Tic tac toe in the dirt.

Happy to have help from Froz, Aurora was able to finish healing the wounded, but still found no sign of Helena. A very wounded aura came into camp and she rushed over to see the friendly demon from before. She was passed out and had basic medical treatment done to her, but the wound on her shoulder was much more damaged than it appeared to be on the outside. She noticed Hizaki nearby and quickly stated, "Hizaki, she needs more than basic medical treatment if she's going to be using that shoulder at all. I can't find Mrs. Helena, though. Can you help me?"

She looked down and saw the two rabbits looking curiously between her and the friendly demon. "Don't mind me." She whispered. Then she focused on the demon, focusing more on the damaged muscles and tendons that she should have. A wave of green wisps flowed around her then spiraled towards the girl's wrapped shouldered. It would take her a little bit of time to finish this.

_____________Allant:

Thanks in part to his twenty millennia of experience, and an unparallelled survival instinct...and the fact that the phoenix seemed unable to manage his own power, Allant managed to avoid the strike, turning his eyes toward Natsuo as he came down for a strike, sidestepping the downward thrust and swaying under the slash, Allant didn't counter immediately; taking the much needed few seconds to observe his surroundings, the woodland around them was dense with no obvious pathways back to the city, or the construction site, and he could see the fire in the distance though he was sure it wouldn't be long until the fire reached the pair, as long as Allant could hold the enraged leader off that long, he would be able to make his escape in the smoke.

His attention snapped back to the phoenix as he launched his counterattack, foregoing the unnecessary flourishes and lunging forward, thrusting one sword powerfully forward, and stepping to the side, and ripping it to the side, intending to impale and disembowel the phoenix. A thought crossed his mind and it almost made him chuckle, 'Never more have I actually wished I was older than I do now...' It would be centuries still before the son of Lucifer grew into his full power, being much weaker now that he truly should be. He derailed that train of thought, focusing wholly on surviving the battle with the phoenix.

Meanwhile...

Cerberus gnashed angrily at the woman who'd injured it, roaring loudly and swiping at her with its gargantuan paw. In the distance the beast could sense the danger its master was in, but these ants were the reason it was brought to the mortal plane, and it would hold this position as long as necessary. The other insects were scurrying around assisting the fallen, they could wait, for now he would devour the one that smelled of serpent blood.

Natsuo didn’t flinch as the blade was sent towards him, lowering his left hand, swinging it outwards to meet Allant’s strike. he knew that it wouldn’t stop the blade, but this is exactly what he wanted. His own power was able to slow the strike, the phoenix quickly stepping into Allant in order to accept the strike, wincing slightly as he felt his blade leave his hand, the sword digging into his side. it wasn’t a deep wound but it was more than enough to give him the opening he needed. Without hesitation, his left hand latched onto the blade, which placed it right before the guard. His hand was engulfed in a black flame, quickly melting the steel, causing a slight amount of blood to gush from his fresh wound as the steel worked its way out of his side, falling to the ground. However, the expression was Natsuo could only be described as fearless, the phoenix looking the demon in the eye, a hateful glare piercing through him, all of his anger radiated in an explosive blast of flame that surrounded his form before dissipating just as quickly as it came. He kept eye contact with the demon before dropping the blade in his right hand, cocking his fist backwards. He threw it forward, the fist bursting into a dazzling, powerful flame, aimed straight for the man’s face.

_____________Allant:

Allant's expression didn't change from the extreme focus, he dropped the sword, reacting quickly, he pivoted allowing Natsuo's fist to sail harmlessly passed his face, during the maneuver he spotted the dagger laying on the forest ground, he twisted around Natsuo and kicked the daggers, sending the weapons sailing in opposite directions, leaving both he and Natsuo unarmed...though with his control over fire Allant couldn't help but feel at a distinct disadvantage. The hellspawn smirked, his pale eyes never leaving his opponent as he raised his hands and settled into a familiar fighting stance.

The beast thrashed and stomped, causing Natani to pull her blade free. She gritted her teeth, dodging and weaving around it's massive legs, keeping under it. She then raced in and sunk her blade into the back of another leg, finally grabbing a handful of the fur on it's back leg. She quickly put her blade in her mouth and climbed up on top of the large three headed dog, working her way up his back and to the middle head. There, she took her sword from her mouth and swiped for it's ears, wanting to keep it's attention on her and away from the other people on the ground. She knew she could get very hurt where she was, but keeping the demon dog was top priority. She had to be sure that everyone else had a chance to get away. Of course she felt no thrill or joy from her actions. She felt the beast was beautiful, and he was only doing as he commanded, so hurting it was joy. She wished that the demon had called more demons rather than the guardian of hell.
