The brightest flame
Khali cursed her slow form, normally she was an even match for Salix's speed but as it was she could barely follow his movements, glad that this wasn't a real fight. She growled when his foot stopped her mid swing and before she could react his fist connected with her stomach. She let out a grunt, her stomach wasn't very well protected, and then in that same instant Salix had put distance between them. The smell of fire and smoke filled the air, had she not been born of fire herself her eyes and nose would be burning, but she coughed and squinted for the sake of the 'performance'.
Khali turned a grin into a sneer, she knew the old man and the town he had been talking about and it had brought back fond memories but now wasn't the time for such things. "I'll make you eat those words demon", she spat the word as a curse as many had done at her through her life. She charged in again holding her sword out to the side, when she was close enough she feigned a horizontal swing and instead lunged at his torso. The tip of her blade suddenly pulled to the side grazing his side, the heat in the blade instantly cauterizing the wound. Not used to this body entirely she had to much momentum from her charge and used her speed to slam her shoulder into Salix. To keep herself from falling on top of him she kept moving past him, more shoving him from her way then anything. With a few quick steps and a few turns she was facing him from a few feet away. Without hesitation she gripped her sword tightly feeling for the fire that was withing it and started swinging her sword in various crisscrosses, each swing sending a blade of flames towards Salix.
Of course she wasn't aiming for him entirely most were actually meant to fly off in random directions, towards the fort, into the forest, into the open field to start more fires. By the end of it she had closed in on Salix again swinging her sword downwards at his head only to have it blocked but his broken sword. Despite the fight being fake, she still felt the urge to win, and she pushed down with all her strength. Soon the blades were a cross between them, her own force having pushed his guard lower but not breaking it. "I'll send you back to the depths of hell you crawled from" she said unable to hide her grin, fighting always got her in a good mood, but to anyone else it would just seem like she was arrogant and assured of her victory. She just hoped Salix would pick up on her que for him to make his retreat. She couldn't see what was happening beyond the veil of smoke but it didn't sound good.
