OHHHHHHHHH maybe they had to go on a quest together once and they ended up in a scenario trade off where they had to give up what they were questing for or die, and Aleks, of course, doesn't think a quest would be worth their lives. I'm not sure if Caleb would have wanted that or not. Or we can literally have a moment when it ends up Caleb's fighting off some monsters and Aleks uses it as a distraction and gets what they were questing for. But I think a failed quest might be even better for the long run because then Caleb and Aleks can have a god or goddess mad at them or holding a grudge against them. Plus, dealing with failure is a fun dynamic too. Aleks and Caleb could have bonded over the quest somehow.
To be honest, Aleks would find Caleb's brutal honesty hilarious and refreshing. Like she'd respect him insanely for speaking his mind with no filter, but she'd still be like "You realize you just told a ten year old they're going to die. You're officially an a*****e, a*****e" *turns to the person he was talking to* "But you better start learning faster from Caleb or you ARE gonna die. "
Since they haven't actually started with the quests yet and are currently only training, maybe it was a test? So one of the god(dess)' can still be angry at the time of them for giving up the pretend 'item' for their life. Maybe if happened years ago and they still hold a grudge? Caleb's reasoning would be 'I gave it up then to survive another day to win it back' where as hers could be 'I wanted to live.' xD So they had their different reasons to giving it over in the test. Like they would have been up against actual people but not demons and be outnumbered and the correct way to pass would be to give up their life or something?
He'd be like "You're as bad as I am, just with boobs." and then physically move her out the way. xD

in all honesty they shouldn't get along well at all. For one thing, he's a child of Zeus and her a child of Hades; they were basically born to not get along. But, I think he'd be one of those people that Rae would feel indifferent about. Because half of her would probably enjoy watching him tell everybody like it is, but the other half of her would probably be like, "wait that's my job." Since he's more of the leader type, Rae would have a bawl pointing out all the flaws in his strategies and plans. She leans more towards verbal confrontation rather than physical like Caleb, so I could just see them getting in a fight and his face beginning to turn red trying to resist the urge to like roundhouse kick her in the in the face lol She could probably hold her own though.
Hey, just because their parents don't doesn't mean they won't, After all they were brought up differently. (Caleb also doesn't give his Father the time of day. xD) But I don't see them gelling, even with Caleb being as blunt as he is. If they haven't found something to bond over by now, they never will. xD I can see him being indifferent to her though as well, like not hating her but being all 'I don't give a s**t' because she wouldn't have given him a reason too. xD I don't think he'd care about her opinion on a good day but on a bad he'd lash out in one way or another. He's not above getting physical after all, she isn't a kitten. She's tiny compared to him, physically I'm not sure how she hold her own but if powers could involved, who knows. xD
