Digging the gold scheme I don't see that done well often 8/10. Only suggestion would maybe a background item if there is one that's like a treasure room or something.

This is one of my favorite color schemes.
Try fiddling with the occasional Fafnir schemed item to add a little depth to the color scheme. There are some items with really nice color fades that really make that sharp blue and black pop.
