I do need to ask why our zOMG devs are at risk of losing their jobs and how come the cash we use to buy the powerups goes to Gaia and not for the development of zOMG?
Well, I kind of think that zOMG shouldn't necessarily be financially self-sustaining in order for it to exist. The mini-games we have aren't self-sustaining and guilds aren't. The cash shop and sponsorships and ads - isn't that money supposed to go to building and improving
all parts of the site?
Yeah, zOMG isn't raking in a lot of money, but it's also in open beta. There are still so many features that can be implemented to make it a bigger, better game. More elements means more ways to incorporate cash. . .and eventually, it could bring in money.
zOMG is far from complete. We still don't have Goof Ball or the Fountain game, which were games that were in zOMG during its initial release but have yet to come back. Those were features that kept people in game a little bit longer. They're still there, still coded - so why aren't they put back in?
