Well it doesn't help that a lot of this season seems more like fan service and filler episodes then an actual season.

The only true "filler episode" in S5 was Vampires of Venice.

I hate how people are still criticizing Matt Smith even though he's only been the Doctor for a season (one that isn't even over in the US yet).

I love Matt Smith.

Also, he has moar fanservice scenes than any other doctor. biggrin

I love him too. It's hard for any new actor coming in as the Doctor. Poor Matt just had it the worse because everyone became attached to David. Personally, he's doing a brilliant job. Even within the first season you can see him grow into the character even more and become more comfortable as him. Even more so when you see the last two episodes. -zips lips-

I'm really digging the 11th doctor, and Matt Smith pulls off a bow tie better than anyone, I think. Still needs a little more fleshing out, though, but hopefully he'll be around a long time.

I still haven't seen the original series, save an episode or two on youtube, so I suppose I couldn't pick a favorite doctor due to lack of evidence.
