Aww Lethal, I'm sure there are more people in Suites who miss you. <3

Suites is just weird, and people do miss members, we just get distracted a lot. But usually when someone returns, everyone ends up remembering how much they missed them and whatnot. :]

I do agree it's a lot different though, we're constantly changing, trying to make it for the better.

I suppose that a free mind has all the extra thinking space for makeshift activity, like mathematics or literature, but as you said, that accounts for looking to the seemingly improbable. I mean, if we didn't have dreams, would we have literature? Literature stretches to whatever one can ever comprehend and even what cannot comprehend. It could be that dreams keep us in a binding cycle of wonder and investment to salvage that which is beyond the conformity and to expel the past as rudimentary. I mean, that makes me wonder right now...could that ever just stop going? Could we ever become so advanced in however many millenia following now that there is nothing else to unveil? I figure that's when the divine intervention comes in, and the vacuum of space is withdrawn into itself, the event being the antecedent to another Big Bang and so on...or not. I'm rather ponderous when it comes to stuff like that.

Also, I'm guessing on a whim here, but could you be saying that this day and age lacks a certain sense of focus or direction? As in, nothing defines us, and we are diverse in our advancements...?

Anyway, I agree with you. A lot of these things that are "slated" for our coming age just don't seem to have any adherence to us, or vice versa. But, if you think about it, they will be presented in a way that most of us will find commercialized and common rather than newfound and outlandish. But, that's just me. I mean, the general idea of all these things just seems so...distanced from our customary style of living that they seem outrageous. Of course, however, we're in the present, not the future.

I think, as humans, we sometimes live off of aspirations for things we cannot achieve...Like, my dad wants to live out at sea and travel all the time, but he knows has hasn't the means to do that, nor the natural tolerance, because not all the sea is as calm and fresh as he knows it (from Trinidad)...but he still takes pleasure and considers that a dream of his. He even explained how horrible it might actually be, but he still imagines it because he imagines it how he likes it. Also, it could be because he's a bit superstitious like I am, but it doesn't really show. And yeah, humans are too flawed naturally to ever be perfect in any one way. The mind is too unstable and fragile and remain in one peace of mind. I think for us to do that, we would actually have to alter the brain itself, which would be a bit degrading, in a way.

Also, what I meant by writing a book, I'm just saying we can...not that it would do well in appeal. I was just referring to the length of the conversation, really.

Now...I think we're close enough to begin experimenting into things we have long believed to be sheer fiction. Really, what does a flying car take? We have planes...and those have been around for a long time. I think now, it would be reasonable for us to have shrunk that power into something more compact. And, cars don't go as fast as planes, so it doesn't have to be a direct translation. I'm just saying that these things are possible. Weird thing is, it all just feels like it doesn't belong in this period of time...

Well, yeah, that's the philosophy as it. The whole "perfection" scenario will always exist in the pretense that every change and tweak will have a benefit and a consequence, and no matter how much the benefit outweighs the consequence, the consequence still lingers, and subsequently, it is still an idiosyncrasy in the scheme of perfection. Besides, having all benefits is an imperfection in itself, since that obscures the balance. But, you know, we always put up perfection to resemble that of a euphoric world or condition. We're not perfect, so who are we to judge what we cannot become? And, you're right...nature forces the balance in a subliminal manner. Overpopulation diffuses more and more ideas, which eventually leads to conflicting ideas, and finally war as a consequence. I think our adrenal glands could be nature's way of putting this edict out there. We're so easy to resort to violence that war is something we have to restrain ourselves from...You know, we could write a book on this perfection stuff.

Also, scientists are apparently supposed to attain a full understanding of the human brain by 2021...I mean, we may not get as far as communication, but we might have USBs in the backs of our heads by 2025.

Well, in terms of your "Utopia" example; perfection only goes so far as we could imagine it to be. But, since that is our imagination, we never consider the downsides to these desires and wishes of ours. Thus, perfection is like imaginary numbers in Algebra; it never actually exists except within the vast entity of our minds, which differs from person to person. I mean, you have a utopia that is perfectly governed and very healthy in makeup, but overpopulation results. The suggestion of religion may arise, restricting sex and thus limiting the population. Seems fine, right? But free will is part of the human psyche that needs to be present for harmony to ensue. Without the mind, there is no perception of harmony or harm. Thus, free will must be allowed. On the contrary, free will opens up opportunities for contradictions to existing edicts, and thus more religions ensue, and war breaks loose. Following that, the society tried to maintain a "recovery" of itself, trying to achieve the rediscovered concept of utopia, which is where our world is. From there, it looks to me, it's just a cycle. So, really, I don't think perfection exists. It's a self-therapy that we use in order to establish our desires and develop a steady path in life.

Now, your mother might be a little abstract on weather and mind control, but if we had committed to making an artificial atmosphere of some sort, we probably could control the weather, but it would be the greatest scientific advancement man has ever made, and we really can't pull off something like that right now. Maybe in 200 years, perhaps, but not now. Mind control could work by syncing brain waves, but we don't fully understand particular brain waves and functions of the brain yet, so it's hard to tell. But, you know, the government keeps a hell of a lot from us. It's so bad that they could have aliens and they somehow made the world forget that they ever came.

If anything was perfect, I'd be trying to wake myself up because I would be having a nightmare of the apocalypse. It's ironic how perfect is the one thing we can never have, but that could just be the bar we set as a beneficiary for our continuing advancement. So...no matter how much we make things better and better, the imaginary limit of "perfect" goes beyond the previous grade. But, you're right. We just condition it all to make it best fit for us.

Also...I just say Bush is a total screw-up because it's hard to notice when he does do something right. He can manage, but be honest; he's probably one of the worst U.S. presidents ever in office. And to think he had two terms. And, to say 9/11 may have been a "home-brewed" conspiracy may be a stretch, but there are several other reasons for the hijackings. I think what was told makes sense, but now, the war in Iraq stuff remains hidden from us, but I'm thankful none of my family members are suffering from the military rules. I mean, it's horrible for those that are in that...but right now, it's not the best of conditions. Eh, we'll see the end of it soon enough.

Yeah, it comes down to a lot of stuff, concerning money, resources, people, and even people's natures. All that just makes it harder for the education system to perfect itself. And, really, it never will be perfected, because kids naturally tend to stray from the conformity because it's too static. But, a good part of the blame really does go to the government for not evenly distributing to schools and educational exhibition. It's been like that for a while. But, you know, what can we do? We let the Watergate scandal be exposed to us in full flesh and yet the government still carried on like we never knew. It makes me wonder; do people in American democracy make a difference at all?

Anyway...Anything Bush does, really is probably completely senseless through and through. He's part of the reason I don't give a damn about the presidency, really.
