Hey, Scarred Vengeance here, encouraging you to read this. I'm just an abnormal fourteen year old, with a mind set on literacy and art. My life was kind of boring before I ever went on Gaia, but now I have a purpose. I know. It sounds corny, right? Not really though. Gaia is an okay place. Friends are always there who give no care about your appearance or status in life. Not at all. They're just there to help. There is also, always someone to kick around. Someone who does not pay attention to regulations and rules, and in reality are probably selfish idiots. But that's one thing that makes this site fun, and I'm glad for THEIR existence.
It's REAL nice, how there are always cool donation items. And hey, I buy my donation items, I don't donate at all. It's kind of a challenge for me. And of course there are fantastic games to pass the time. My favorite is Gaia Cards. If you want a lot of tickets doing something fairly easy, play Cards. Towns is also a nice place to hang out. It's always filled with people who know how to have fun. What I can't wait for is the Battle System, that I hope comes out soon.
There are also many features to Gaia. To list some are the profiles, friends list and journals. You can add many things to enhance your character, like the avatar and your signature which define the person you really want to be on the site. The profile is also very adept at defining your true nature, and it is always good to have friends. And yes there are those people, the shy people who write in their Gaia journals. And not let other people see. But that's the diversity of Gaia itself, so Pah, let them be shy.
And of course, the Forums. The Forums are the main epicenter of Gaia, hosting over thousands of hangout threads and places to chat and be yourself. Chatterbox is a crowd favorite for the fast and the furious, but I prefer the quieter WF(Writer's Forum) and (not so quiet) OP/L(Original Poetry and Lyricism). But in a more serious note, the Forums can be your friend in many things about the site. For me, lots of information on what to wear, various ways to make money, and online friendships have all been discovered at the Forums. It is also a worthwhile place to go. After all, Gaia is supposed to be a forum.
But there is a bad side to Gaia. Many entities lurk the darkest corners of every forum, the bleakest town squares in Towns, and in many of the Gaian games also. To list some are the Stalkers, N00bs, Trollers, and the ever-nefarious Cyber Seekers. These people may not know their own potential threat to the equilibrium of peace sustained in Gaia, and some know but are too engulfed in their goals to read simple rules. So be wary of these people when having fun on Gaia, and even so: DO NOT LET YOURSELF BECOME ONE!
So Gaia? My overall evaluation? It's okay. I mean thousand upon THOUSANDS of members log on every day. The staff is dedicated, yet not there most of the time, and the majority of Gaia seek the site as a spiritual or mental escape from the troubles of real life. The nifty tricks and knowledge of Gaia never run out, so I'm always basking in it. If that's not status for a remarkable site, then what is?
