yeah, as you can probably guess, the covid problems have set in over here now too. we've been on lockdown for ...at least a couple of weeks, i think more, it's harder to keep track time than usual, which is odd because it's not really changed my routine all that much. i leave my house a handful of times a year generally, so i'm basically a hermit already. i'm definitely one of the lucky ones in not having to deal with much change. we've had shortages on several things (mostly milk, which is absolutely the fault of supermarkets because farmers have complained they're having to throw perfectly good milk away because no one's buying it! wtf), but luckily we're managing to get enough supplies in general to get by.

i hope you're managing the same, and especially hope you're staying safe if you work retail! are you considered a key worker or have you managed to get some paid leave? i'm hoping the latter, but if not take care of yourself as best you can!

if you're in isolation too though, then on the bright side i guess you've got plenty projects around the house to keep busy with. User Image

well as you can see i'm just as bad, so it's fine with me! at least we're as bad as each other xD i'm doing well, hope the same is true for you!

hopefully you've had some time to settle in and get used to things some more, as well as take care of all the things you've been juggling. oh and same, even though i'm far from any good with diy it's always fun, and satisfying to have made something yourself as well!

we've been having some torrential storms, though thankfully where i live we've not gotten the awful flooding some people have. the rain doesn't seem as bad at the moment - unless i just jinxed it - but it's still pretty cold. it was still snowing in places not that long ago. lucky for me i prefer bundling up inside during cold weather than just lying in front of a fan and praying for death during hot weather, so there's that at least. seems like the weather's pretty haywire all over the place fairly consistently now thanks to good ol' climate change, everywhere's either flooded and frozen or literally on fire, or of course switching back and forth between the two. ;_; i think it's better to be in the places swerving back and forth than in the places with the really severe extremes though. emotion_0A0

slowly but surely remembering gaia exists more often fsjhfjsaf i think moving is supposed to be one of the most stressful things people can experience, so if you managed to get through it and settle in without too much worry you're doing well! and definitely better than i'd do, that's for sure! xD

oh yeah, it's definitely getting properly cold here now, got the first frost about a week ago. oddly it's kind of on and off, really cold for a few days then perfectly fine for the next few, so i'm guessing it's slowly transitioning into the icy hell of Official Winter lol! and thank you~ the best advice is to not give up if you have setbacks really, because they're always gonna happen. just have to keep on truckin'. and you're most welcome! hopefully things continue well for the both of us!

honestly i've probably taken longer with something in the past lol! and i did assume you'd probably got some stuff going on.
i'm glad to hear you're settling in nicely, i don't envy you in moving, that's for sure. and to be fair i've not been on gaia as much for a while either, but i'm getting back into the swing of things.

oh dang, it's definitely cooled down considerably, but it's not even gotten properly cold here yet! i imagine it's not going to be long before it starts getting chillier though. i've at least managed to remain about the same as far as healthier eating goes, hopefully i can keep it up and didn't just jinx it. it's a rough time though to be trying with christmas just around the corner, though at least i don't have thanksgiving to contend with as well. i wish you luck in getting through without consuming your own weight in food xD

i;'m still hanging in there. even though it's a rough time if nothing else i manage to keep going because i've been through tough times before, so i know there's a light at the end of the tunnel. sometimes you just have to play the waiting game until you can get there. thank you for your condolences heart

joke's on them, i don't own a smartphone! i only have a really old one for a bank account that requires a phone attached to it, but i never go anywhere without someone else who has a phone so i don't need anything fancy lol!

the weather has basically stayed the same over here too, bouncing back and forth. we got a couple of days warm enough to break out the fan, and then the last couple of days have been cold enough i noticed myself feeling chilly. still can't make it's mind up. i'd honestly prefer for it to stay somewhere in the middle, but eventually we'll get that familiar summer heatwave like always. ;_; and you're most welcome, hopefully by now you're feeling well again!

hey, i'd imagine hiding has been proven to work more often than running at someone with a knife screaming. i feel like anyone who makes it through that choice was probably on the luckier side, lol.

oh that's not fair, if they're not even solid they don't get to be so high in calories! yes, both sadly (and thankfully) i have now made it through all of the easter treats. i'm sloooowly eating slightly somewhat better over time. it can be difficult to even do so when you have more digestive system issues than money, and a household of people with different dietary needs, but i'm getting there. been hanging out in Depression Central lately unfortunately (hence my terribly late reply orz;;), which makes summoning the willpower to not eat horribly harder, but as long as we've got some healthier things around that i actually enjoy, i don't do TOO badly.

i believe it was indeed one with pink hair! and yes the link works! it's so cute! :D

yeah they must be doing some serious overhaul behind the scenes for so many updates and bugs popping up and getting fixed.

oh, same here actually, that's weird. don't know if it's the weather that's responsible for me, though. it does seem to keep flitting back and forth between spring trying to start and winter coming back again. i hope you get better soon! especially when you have to keep working! ;~;

yeah, i have no idea what i'd do in that situation. i'd probably either hide with a phone and call the police or just grab the biggest knife i had and scream as terrifyingly as i could. while the second is riskier, stuff like that out of nowhere tends to throw people a lot, so it might be enough to stop them. it would be tempting but i'd probably go with the first option out of fear if nothing else. you could say "you only live once" as a reason to go ham and just scream at them, but the thing about only living once is i'd like for that one time to not end abruptly one night by some burglars lol.

it's a shame since i'd actually love to go out boating, but aside from my swaying-boat-phobia there's also plenty of other terrible anxieties that would definitely stop me. not least of all that i can barely swim and don't particularly want to drown.

easter's definitely a time i have to go nuts because i love hollow chocolate eggs so much lol. maybe it evens out with not celebrating thanksgiving over here? at least there's one bit of time for recovery between food-heavy holidays.
it has changed since, but it's still cute, and evidently i'm not the only one who thinks so! it's always a nice surprise when you find out someone's faved your avatar~

ah, okay, it's given me one now! it's not surprising given the amount of bug fixes that have been having to happen lately. guess some things just got lost amongst it all. but yes, at least we're in it together! xD

excellent news! right in time for hay fever season to begin, hopefully you don't get it. it's very sporadic for me the past few years, but then the weather has been too so that's not all that surprising i guess.

since then those burglars have been back, they tried the neighbour's back door this time, but she'd had the locks replaced there as well just to be safe, and she was up at the time they tried. she literally grabbed a kitchen implement, opened the door and screamed to chase them off!! she was so brave. they got out of there so fast they broke one of the gate posts and she's had to get it replaced at her own expense too, so even when they haven't been successful she's been losing money. they need to go and rob a richer place! leave the working class people alone ffs!!

boating is something i'd like to do, but i also get anxiety from, like...almost phobia anxiety? it's weird, it's not about the water, it's about the movement. i don't like swaying side to side. it's the same as if you're on a swing and twist from side to side while also going back and forth, there's just something about it that affects me so strongly i immediately have to stop the sensation. there might be a word for it since i doubt i'm the first person to experience it in the entirety of human history, but it's oddly specific and not really what i'd call a phobia, so... ¯_(o ~o)_/¯ like what the hell lol

not doing too bad, i suppose you could say the same amount of shitty as normal xD so at least it's not worse. easter fun times definitely adds to the list of nicer things, i enjoy some good chocolate eggs. hope your easter's going well! your avatar is so cute! (i need to change mine, i've not been gaia-ing as much lately D smile
