Without more than a warning knock, Devon pushed open Julian's bedroom door and flopped onto her back on his bed. She clapped both hands over her face and groaned. "Is reintroducing the Bubonic Plague into the general population feasible?" she asked, voice muffled. "I think working outside the mansion in view of ignorant humans has sapped my patience. You know, I actually considered impaling one in the eye with my stinger because he confused me for someone going to Planned Parenthood and kept waving his picket sign in my face. No, I was not going to Planned Parenthood. I was going to the Walgreens next door because I was out of migraine pulls and I appear to be coming down with an allergy to stupid." She dropped one hand into the messed-up bedding and left the other over her eyes. "Does that make me a bad person?"

"Yea she did, and I do miss her, but she is a better place now." Smiled and pulled out a picture of her mom and her. "this was her, her name was Nicole, and she was such an angel." Chuckled abit. "She was a childrens nurse, working in the childrens ward where I was a candy striper. She loved kids but do to a medical condition she had she could only have me. She suffered from blood clots, and one traveled to her heart and she died. She was on meds for it but it only allowed her to have borrowed time." Sighed softly with a small smile. "I didn't know my dad to well, he walked out when I was four, and from what I heard he drank himself to death a few months later."

"Oh I love it, the smell of fresh bread is amazing." Smiled brightly. "I love working there, and the fact that we give away the unsold bread, makes it even better." Said and sipped her drink for a few moments. "I do miss being a candy striper, but I have no time to volunteer till I graduate, but even then I will be lucky if I find time while job hunting." Sighed. "I feel bad because I cant volunteer anymore, I had such fun doing that, making little kids smile and laugh." Kyra said.

She smiled softly. "Thanks." said when he pulled out the chair for her. "I am going for chemistry as my major. Then Imma look for a good job that pays better than my part time one. I work in a bakery making fresh bread on the weekends and I deliver the unsold bread to a homeless shelter in the city." smiled "I mean the pay is enough to pay my rent and a few other bills but I need something more long term to pay off student loans." Smiled happily as she sipped her own frozen drink. "A male nurse huh? Maybe one day I will come in and visit you while you work." Grinned cutely. "I do adore nurses, my mom was one before she died a few years back. I used to visit her all the time, and bring her and her friends treats on the holidays." chuckled. "I even was one of those, oh what are they called, red strip or something volunteers when I had the time, but I did it in the childrens ward. I had such a fun time with that. I only stopped cuz I had school and work."

She shook his hand smiling. "Kyra Masters and I would love the company." She beamed brightly. "I think I saw a free table by the window if you wanna snag it for us." Kyra said smiling still. It wasn't long till she got her drink and waited on him to get his before they went to the free table. "So what do you do for a living?" She asked smiling warmly at him. "I'm finishing up the last of my schooling for technology, chemistry and science." Said. "Yea it is a lot to do but so worth it."

The girl behind the counter nodded and smiled at him. "Sure thing." She said before moving to make his drink. Meanwhile a young woman walked in and unwrapped her scarf before getting in line. Her hazel eyes scanned the crowded room hoping to find an open table, which she did. Once she got up to the counter she took but a second to look at the menu before ordering. "Frozen mocha with three shots of chocolate banana, and a shot of expresso please." She said and paid for her drink before moving to the side only to bump into a young man. "Oh I'm so sorry please forgive me." She said. "I wasn't paying attention, lot on my mind I suppose." Gave a warm smile.
