Springtrap is the main antagonist in Five Nights at Freddy's 3. He is a spring-lock suit, meant to double as both an autonomous animatronic, and as a human costume when not in animatronic mode. Due to an unfortunate accident involving the latter feature, Fazbear Entertainment deemed the suit to be too unsafe, and had it walled away in an unused room where it will never harm anyone again.Discovered thirty years later after Mike Schmidt's tenure, Springtrap is currently being repurposed for a horror attraction based on the legends and stories that shut down the Freddy Fazbear's franchise to begin with.
And for such an old animatronic, he is quite active...
But don't misjudge him. After all. It's what's on the inside that counts.
