About Remora Stingray the character:

Remora has very little memory of her real parents. Her father left to serve on a merchant vessel shortly after she was born; her mother died when Remora was seven. A man claiming to be her uncle then took her in. He also served on merchant vessels, but he managed to convince his captain to allow the little girl to join him. As a result, Remora grew up on the seas and an adept sailor. When Remora was 19, her uncle disappeared, leaving her a note and his sword.

Notes:
Remora is actually an old character I used to play in a DnD game in the Forgotten Realms setting. She was neither my favorite nor my least favorite character; the game just ended too early so she didn't get used very much at all.
