Once,
long long time ago,
hatched from an unusual looking egg that floated through the ocean,
Sharky was born.
Bullied by pretty mermaids because of her Fish-face.
She was always searching for a place she belongs to, lonely would she swim her way.
She would sometimes sit with some fishers at the pier, since she seemed to be accepted by such, but in her heart, she felt all alone.
Until that one glorious day, when she had the vision of the Holy Bass'terd that told her to start a cult in his name, so he shall bring fortunes to the Bass'ken lake. Ever since that moment, Sharky was invested to make people believe in the Holy Bass'terd.
Sharky is a very melancholic fish. She likes dark colors and shadows. Dark kelp green is her favourite color. She likes when it's wet and cold, since she dries out in the sun.
Sharky doesn't know who her parents are since she was born out of an egg that maybe got lost from its original location. Of course she wished all her life to know where she belongs, but so far she wasn't able to find that answer.
That's why she hangs out with human fishers, even though she is almost a fish herself.
Humans told her that the majority of them feel fullfilled by believing in something, which maybe led to Sharky's vision of the Holy Bass'terd. Maybe she thought, she wouldn't feel so alone anymore if she could hold onto something. What exactly is the Holy Bass'terd? Sharky doesn't know. He is a legend, a myth, a God of the Bass'ken Lake, so do people say. Will she find the truth one day?
Since she was bullied before by other mermaids, she has a strong will to prove to them, that she is worthy of something. She wants to be aknowledged and accepted, maybe even loved someday.
That is why she is trying to earn trophies and the golden Angelic Rod in fishing competitions.
A few people befriended her, which makes her happy, even though she doesn't really know what true happniess is or where she can find it. But she tries do make the best out of her life.
She has the hobby of diving down to the ground and search for treasures, wether its very old items from sunken ships, or just jewelry that human swimmers lost. Occasionally she helps people to find their lost wedding rings. Helping others gives her the feeling to have a right to live at that Lake. She stores all her findings in an abandones Shipwreck, that lies beneath the docks. So far, no human did discover her things. That's also the place where she sleeps at night. She calls that place Home, but she doesn't really understand, what "Home" really means.
Since this Lake has it's boarders, she dreams about the Ocean and how it must feel to live in it. A few humans jokingly offered her to take her to she ocean one day, but so far it hasn't happened.
