My answer to your profile question: Humans weren't "created" per say. I say this because we don't know what Adam and Eve really looked like! But to answer that, it had to be something that could be intelligent and capable of decision making. Reptiles were the closest things, but they had already taken a toll from mass exctictions! The kicked open the door way for humans to eventually come to be. In short, we got lucky. As for your second question, my answer ties into the first sort of. During our evolution, we were pretty much chimps that could walk upright. And there were problems along the way, so what did they do? They developed the ability to walk longer and longer distances and made tools. We're natural problem solvers. That's our role in the bigger picture, to solve problems that get in the way. If we didn't, then we'd still be in trees hunting Mammoth. In short, the continued point of our existance is to grow and learn...problem being we have mindless idiots in society.
