It is alot of fun helping novels be born, and polishing some nonfiction writing as well. It actually isn't that hard; nursing is likely harder still.

hmmmm....Basically, I work with the structure of a work, its contents. I make sure everything fits together, no stuff that doesn't connect well, changes in writing style, facts assumed but not explained, that sort of thing. Alot of time, I spend alot of time talking authors out of second guessing themselves and gutting their works.

Yep, my primary genre, and has been since I started to read. But I also am a pretty big mystery fan plus I read anything else that catches my interest. One of my favorite mystery writers is Marcia Muller, but I follow maybe 40 authors or so. I have even more in sci fi of course...lol

Hanging in there...tis allergy season for me...cedar pollen. But....a good friend of mine emailed me; another friend of hers is selling a sci fi library--just 10 cents a book. Too far for me to go in person, so her friend emailed me a list of authors and I just picked them all. Ended up with 160 books. Plus 3 James Herriot ones too. Score! cool

Familar with the Dune series?
I got the 3 prequels to go along with the 6 main books in the series.
Despite having the complete main series that were written like back in the 80's, I started the prequels before the main books and then finished 'em...and started on the main books...and got side tracked a year or so from readin' em..now I want to go all the way back and do it in one fell swoop. Makes sense? I'm weird like that.

A book called "You can't win" By Jack Black (not actor). It's his life and tales of being a Criminal and a Hobo. Very interesting stuff.

And "Stiff The curious lives of cadavers" Playing up on my love for the macabre, It's a book about where cadavers come from and the history behind the grisly practice of attaining them. All good reads. I'll be occupied for months. ^_^

and no sutures for me...I tend to let any cuts/scrapes I've heal on their own. Medically unsound I guess...but it I've a habit of scratching and picking at scabs. sweatdrop
