They pretty much are.
They don't want to be anything is wrong with their little girl... even though you're 16, not 6.
If you fall off your bike your parents can get you a band aid and it'll be all better.
If you hallucinate falling off a bike, well, they freak out because it's not something they can fix on their own, so they deny it happened at all.

that's what i did, and it worked for a while.
but i hallucinationed stuff at night when i couldn't sleep, so my parents knew that i was faking.
you could try it, but you may not get away with it.
make sure that when you talk to the people who are 'only trying to help you', your parents aren't in the room.
it'll be harder to fully speak your mind, or your parents will pressure you into saying this and that.
and theyll act like they just brought their 5 year old to the pediatrician. seriously. it's crazy.

I was shihzophrenic and depressed. I was on all that s**t.
I know what you mean about your parents, but in a way it's good you told.
Do you have to see a phychiatrist(sp)?

I got help though and now I'm better.

tips:
if you don't want to be in contact with certain people (parents, etc) turn all phones OFF.
you can act like your normal self on shrooms but you'll feel really strange
changing clothes is a really odd experience...
adventure as much as you can and don't plan to stay in one spot for too long
don't watch tv or a movie it's a waste of a trip
bring something to write/draw with you think of the most beautiful things
