looked through the thread on the official forums, and found the post:

"Q: Just how much material was ultimately discarded?"
"A: A tremendous amount of stuff was discarded, but it's impossible to give a real measure. At least twice the final game's worth of content, but that's extremely rough."

no details though.

not sure if it was brought up again cause the thread had over 80 pages and im too lazy to look through them all right now @_@

my main problem with Shizune's path was that there wasnt really any conflict or anything.
she and Hisao never really have a fight or anything like that, and things seem to be ok from beginning to end.
its ok though, cause i did enjoy the playthrough from beginning to the end(minus the ending).

and yeah, her dad was an a*****e.

iirc the writer wanted to do one of other character's story, but got stuck with Shizune.
im not 100% sure if this is accurate though.

an interesting fact - there was a lot of cut content from the game.
one of the writers mentioned that the amount of cut content would be equivalent to about 3 Katawa Shoujos.
thats a LOT of cut content.
i wonder why so much was removed, i dont think they said...

the people who wrote the story said that Hisao and Shizune acknowledge that they may or may not be together in the future and that theyre ok with that.

it just doesnt make sense to me.
it doesnt make sense to have them be boyfriend/girlfriend at the end of Act 2 and then barely mention it during Act 3 and 4, and then have it end with them not really caring if theyre together or not.

iirc the person who wrote the Shizune path didnt want to do Shizune, so maybe thats part of the problem.

it needed an epilogue simmilar to Lilly's story.

her relationship with Hisao really needed better clarification at the end.
i hate it when stuff like that is left to interpretation.
