It's been a year or so since I left Gaia. I wish a warm welcome to all of those who are reading this!
I made the Oklahoma 2010 Women's All-state Treble Choir as an Alto II, completed my freshman year of high school, then moved to Panama City, Florida, by myself, to attend an esteemed choral program at Bay High School.
Making the vocal ensemble group, 'Cantiamo', and being a part of the mighty Bay Choir under the direction of the ever-gracious and brilliant Julia K. House. I served as a soprano and tenor in the best choir in Northwest Florida under her.
In October of 2010, I starred in my first theatrical production, "Steel Magnolias" as 'Shelby Eatenton-Latcherie', and for the first time in my life, I was praised for one thing, for being so young and playing a woman ten years my superior, and succeeding so well with a veteran cast.
In mid-January of this year, 2011, I felt as if the experience I had received had been what I'd been searching for, I returned home to my beloved Oklahoma and enrolled in an online Christian school.
On mine and my sister's sixteenth birthday, the 22nd of March, I went to audition for Annie the Musical at Stillwater's Town and Gown Theatre. I did very well and am currently waiting for my callback.
For post high school career, I'm considering the opera program at the University of Central Oklahoma.
