In the games Jill Valentine was a S.T.A.R.S. Alpha team operative in Raccoon City where in the first game she and her team are sent to investigate the disappearence of their comrades Bravo team. After being chased by zombies and dogs they take refuge in a mansion where they discover is a site for the Umbrella Corporation, where after an accedent in a underground lab a virus known as the T-Virus turned everyone into zombies. She survives along with her partner Chris Redfield after destroying the mansion in an explosion.
