Hideto Matsumoto, known as hide (pronounced /hi.de/).

December 13, 1964 - May 2, 1998

Guitarist for X JAPAN (1987-1997) and solo artist (1993-199 cool . Solo projects include: hide with Spread Beaver and the American collaboration with Zilch.

Also formed the independant high school band, Yokosuka Saver Tiger in 1981.
