Meh, we didn't do anything THAT special... my family came over and ate dinner with us. >_>;; I got a bunch of good stuff though, including a wii (!) and a bunch of really awesome prisma art markers. Yours?


Ooh, New Years was fun here too, though I saw no fireworks. We had a party and popped party crackers (fun English party toys wrapped up in a package that pops when it's opened) 


Ooh, wishes... I'm on a diet. o.0 I'm losing 15 lbs for the up and coming crew season... I'm not large or anything... but It helps to be light on your feet when you have to run three miles a day. Blech. I want chocolate... Have you made any resolutions?

I went back to school last Monday... the fifth, I think? It was a good break, but as usual it went by too fast...probably because I slept during most of it. When did you go back? (assuming you DID go back...)





Haha, "posh" is totally the perfect word for TV poodles-- "media" poodles if you will. However, I'd describe my poodles as...well... *glances at the big pile of fluff who is sleeping next to me at the moment* I don't know..."floppity"? Is that even a word? My firefox says it isn't so I guess not. But my poodles are rather floppity. Am I feeling silly today or what?


(tee hee I love Tom & Jerry...I used to call it "PaJerry" when I was little) Zarathustra is another name for Zoroaster, who is an ancient Iranian poet-prophet guy...I only know that because I learned it in History last year. It's sort of an inside joke with my mom, who had a friend in school named Zarathustra Lewindowsky...it's rather hard to explain, I guess. 


Dusty? Um... that's an embarrassing story, but for some reason I'm going to be truthful instead of just saying "the name sounded cute". I was eight or nine and I overheard the SPCA guy referring to flea poop on cats (I have no idea why they were talking about this) as "flea dust". For some reason I found this a reason to name my cat Dusty, partly because it sounded cute and partly because it amused me to think about flea poop. I WAS EIGHT, OKAY?! Aww, now you think I'm weird... *hangs head in shame*


Izzy's an easy one. She just looks like an Izzy. Because she's frizzy...Izzy... I dunno. I also had an imaginary friend named Isabella when I was really little.





Not many movies, no. Er, I saw Amores Perros which was pretty good albeit extremely depressing, I saw No Country for Old Men which was very good, I went on a horror movie binge and saw The Cube 2 & Hypercube which were so bad they were good, and I saw The Dentist-- a hilariously horrible horror movie about an evil dentist (evil dentist + drills + unsuspecting, badly acting victims = NOT MUCH FUN AT ALL) I forget if I saw anything else during break... Oh, I saw Contact . That was brilliant.





No, I have no idea how to make AMVs or work a video camera. Ooh, good song! I'd say my favorite J-pop band is...is... argh, I like them all! Okay, Japanese musical artists in general I like (sometimes J-pop/J-rock overlap) Nightmare, Shikao Suga, Larc'~en~Ciel (probably favourite), Ikimono-gakari, and Flow. :)


I also like They Might be Giants, Scissor Sisters, Mika, the Dresden dolls, Beatles...lots of stuff, I guess.


Is ikimono-gakari your favourite band?      





I loved Rugrats... now that I think about it though, they were REALLY ugly. Ren and Stimpy... I never really watched it all that much. They kind of scared me. *starts singing "happy happy joy joy" song*

I have an affinity for felines too. Hm...


I have two dogs and a cat. The dogs are both standard poodles and are tan & black (but with puppy cuts-- no poofs), and the cat is fuzzy and gray. I'm pretty sure he's just a typical alley tomcat. The dog's names are Isabella ("Izzy" wink and Zoathustra ("Zoe" wink , and the cat is Dusty Perrault ("Dusty" wink . Odd names, I know, but they all have their interesting backstories. Do you have pets?

I don't really remember what My Dog Skip was about... I think it was something along the lines of Old Yeller--Frankie Muniz gets a dog, they have heartwarming shenanigans, and something really tear-jerkingly bad happens at the end... possibly dog's death, but I'm not sure.

Aww, those were the days. I had a bunch of Power Ranger action figures... I'm pretty sure that's it, though. I didn't watch much anime when I was a kid other than Pokemon-- maybe a little Yu Yu Hakusho & Dragonball Z, but I was a lot more into Nickelodean. 90's Nick was basically my life. xP Hey Arnold, Cat-Dog, etc. Cartoon Network came a few years later.

Blargh, I wanna go on vacation. My mom said we might go to Vietnam and Thailand this summer if the recession gets better, but I'm seriously doubting it. I see work in my future... lots and lots of work. D8





Mrr, I like all seasons for different reasons. My favorites would probably be Fall and Spring, though. They're both beautiful (flowers! leaves!), and have a good smell/atmosphere in the air (That sounds weird, but it's true.) Summer comes next on my list because I like warmness and no school, and then Winter. I don't hate the Winter like some people, but it can get rather dreary. It has its moments, though... like when it snows so much that you can make fires and drink hot cocoa...:] And, of course, the holidays and my birthday. (Coming up! Huzzah!)

Hm... it turns out I only got an 80. Phew! Worst grade I've gotten so far, but at least it's not a C... >_>;;

I enjoy bears of any type. They're just that cool.

Then I'm sure you'd like Superbad! xD It's right up there with the 'stupid funny' stuff.

Ohh, I love Toy Story... The early CG movies aren't that bad, I guess. Yeah, the Iron Giant was sad...but Good-sad. Like My Dog Skip.

Mehh, kindayeah. Ooh, have you seen the anime at all? It has a kickass opening theme. My friend is making a flash animation to that song for our RP characters... at least I think she is, I'm not sure if she's started yet. Anyways, it's pretty cool.

I wasn't much of a robot person. I was more of a pirate/dinosaur/supervillain/hero kid. I loved scooby doo, batman, spiderman...pokemon...

I've always considered changing my name, but I think it'd be kind of weird... everyone'd get confused, and I'd probably just start calling myself Rebecca again. Plus, Rebecca was my great grandmother's name so I'd feel kind of mean changing it. I also have no idea what I'd change it to. >_>;;

Chemistry is confusing indeed. Like... Sulfide? Sulfate? SulfITE? Gahhh! *hides under bed*

Thanksgiving was food-tastic! I ate too much, and then fell half-asleep through most of the dinner. Curse you, tryptophan! It was rather good, though. How was yours?

Yay, Subtle Knife! How far are you so far? Who's your favourite character? I like Lee Scoresby and Pan, myself. And maybe Mrs. Coulter. She's a pretty interesting character.

Meh, Napolean Dynamite. I didn't think it was that funny, but I don't really remember it and I saw it a while ago, so... Oh, speaking of stupid movies: Superbad. I thought it was hilarious. Don't really know why.
I can see where you're coming from with the being used to fantasies. It took me such a long time to get used to reading nonfiction and non-fantasy stuff... Reading Pride and Prejudice I was like "But...but...where're the dragons?! D;"
Mehh, it's hard to decide. I love all of them. The Lion King, 101 Dalmations and Mulan are classic. I'm not really into the early Princess stuff like Cinderella and Snow White...Beauty and the Beast is good, Aladdin is awesome... I don't know if The Emperor's New Groove, Atlantis and Road to El Dorado are Disney, but they're pretty awesome. As is Iron Giant. Honestly, I love all cartoon movies. CG movies like Shrek are alright. Some are really good like Finding Nemo, but overall I like the original style more.

Happosai is quite annoying, but I don't dislike him...he's just not very original. He's the classic Japanese Perverted Old Man!
I love Watanuki, Yuuko, and Doumeki in that order. I used to be obsessed with Doumeki for some reason... I don't really like the Himawari and Watanuki pairing... me being a slasher and all. xD

I have so many freaking dinosaur toys. It's crazy. They take up like, half of my closet. o_0 I REALLY liked dinosaurs as a kid, I guess.

I have no green clothing. Maybe like, one pair of green shorts, but they're too big and I hardly ever wear them. I mostly wear darker shades with bright highlights, like mostly black with bright blue shoes and watch or something like that. I like earth-tones, too. They suit my eyes...which aren't really a color. Sort of a silver/gold/blue kind of hue, which looks uber green from far away. What type of clothes do you wear?

Nerdiness excused. I've never played Fire Emblem, but I'm glad my name has such positive associations. n_n I don't particularly like my name. It was my grandma's, and it literally means "bondage" in Hebrew. Gah!

Ummm... it depends. Favourite subject itself, or favourite class? This year my favourite class is probably Chinese because it's easy and we don't do much work. Least favourite class is Spanish, I hate my teacher with a fiery passion.
Subject-wise, I like English, Spanish and Chemistry. I love learning languages... and I've always loved science. It's really interesting knowing how the world works. I like History, too. Least favourite class is most definitely math. I come from a long lineage of math-haters, and I believe I am the worst mathematician of all. I just don't get it. Rarr.

The lotr movies are among the few movies which are the same if not better than the books. Along with Holes, Harry Potter, and... uh... some other ones.
I love Disney! It has creepy undertones, but meh. It's still awesome. I know most of the classics by heart. cx

Mrrr... I have no idea what my favorite animal is. xD I like dogs... wolves are cool... Dinosaurs are awesome... Cats are cool... No idea. Most mammals, I suppose. I don't mind reptiles, though. I used to want a snake as a kid, but my mom's afraid of them... :c I had a lizard once, though. Birds are okay. Insects maybe, if it's cute and not on me. I like animals in general, I suppose.

I like all colors! Um... Most of the time I'm stuck between blue and green.

Mrrf, my bookstore has like no manga. >c At least not anything I haven't already read... Raymond Feist? Haven't heard of him. I am, however, a huge fan of Harry Potter and Lord of The Rings. HP slightly more... I used to be obsessed. cx I also really like Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchet, Philip Pullman (His Dark Materials!), Haruki Murakami, Stephen King, Orson Scott Card, Mary Doria Russell... and a whole lot more. I love fantasy and adventure novels, mystery, sci-fi, horror... but I'll basically read any book that's good.
I love all movies. I'm a sucker for british comedies, horror movies (although I'm usually hiding behind a blanket through most horror movies, I still like the thrill...), action/adventure, musicals, historical films... anything, really as long as it's good. Favorite movies... Sweeney Todd (anything with Johnney Depp is great), Dark Knight (still slightly obsessed), Pirates of The Caribbean, Star Wars, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Princess Bride, Blackadder, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, Howl's Moving Castle (and anything else by Hayao Miyazaki), Nightmare before Christmas... And much, much more. What movies do you like?

No, you’re not prying too much! Um… I really don’t like most of the people at our brother school. I haven’t fallen head over heels for anyone since camp, and that was an ill-fated affair. D:
Well, there is this one guy who’s kind of cute… but I’m much too awkward to actually “make advances” and whatnot. Honestly I have no idea how to act around guys. >_>’’ I usually wait for them to make the first move, and then it doesn’t really happen…or I don’t know it when they do…or I misinterpret something…blech.
Keep in mind I’m the one my friends ask when they’re asking me whether they should sleep with so and so guy or not. Me, who’s never even been kissed. Something’s wrong here… xD

Hm… I like to hang out with friends, read (a lot), watch movies, and draw stuff… I used to play videogames, but now I’m rather low on time… and money for new games. :c Um… what else… I write music sometimes, I write (and occasionally RP), I go on the internet for ridiculous amounts of time when I should probably be writing some essay…listen to music…play tennis… There’s more, but that’s the main gist of what goes on during the weekends. Same here! I have an entire file filled with failed fantasy stories. I start writing and think to myself “haven’t I seen this before?” and then I realize I basically rewrote the first few chapters of Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings. xD At least I don’t pull a Christopher Paolini and publish it. Haha, nonono. That would be too embarrassing. It’s just a little vignette about my old house I had to write for English class that my teacher liked. Mehh.

A boyfriend? No, I don't. xP I never have, actually. I have this curse, you see: EVERY GUY I FALL FOR TURNS OUT TO BE GAY. > _>;; It's happened depressingly often, and has resulted in many an embarrassing situation. My friends make fun of me all the time for it. Do you have a girlfriend?

No, I'm not. It takes a lot of time and preparation... and I don't really feel like doing it. You have to meet over the weekends and stuff... meh. I'm sure it's really cool, but think I'd rather be doing something else on my Saturday mornings.
I'm not extremely political, either. Go Obama! He's pretty neat. I would rather have Hilary, though... I'm sort of a maverick (that was intentional) in my grade because I'm not...well... fanatically liberal. I'm a liberal democrat, yeah, but my entire family is made up of old right-wing conservative republican jews, so I can't really help picking up a few republican ideas. (direct quote from my grandfather: "George Bush is the best thing to ever happen to this country!" wink Hah.
I was pretty skeptical of Obama at first, but I'm sure he'll do a good job. I mean, he has to be better than Bush. cx Overall, I'm excited. Yay first black president!

I write a little of everything, I guess. I always start stories and don't finish them... I'm incredibly self-conscious about poetry. It's very hard to write good poetry, and I cannot do it without sounding extremely emo. I'll probably submit something this time, however I'm going to change all the names in the story so nobody knows it's mine. xD
