A human half-dragon from the lost city of venheim in the world of Lacroa.
Nothing much else is known of his past except he was once possessed by an evil spirit known as Seto.
In his human form, Ephidel stands to a height of 6'1 and retains a strong physique due to the harsh physical training he goes through as a part of his profession. His golden yellow eyes are a defining feature of his face, common to the race of dragons. His long fringe of dark blue hair often covers his left eye, there is no other reason for this except it is the style he is comfortable with.
He prefers to dress in black clothing as is traditional of many dragon tribes who take on a human form, though he does not wear a long robe as part of the tradition states but rather clothing available to him in this world so he many fit in with the Denizens of this place.
He is generally friendly to people he meets, although often distrusting for a short time. He tends to worry about insignificant things where as when presented with actual danger he remains calm. He knows his own level of strength well and will not fight unless there is no other option. Most of his time is spent researching the origins of spells to grasp a better understanding of how to use them, he also studies various other topics to gain an advantage in combat. Although he can be rather arrogant, as is a trait of dragons. he tries not to be this way unless he is violently provoked, at other times he keeps quiet until directly involved in a conversation.
He fights in a style known only as Runic. This mode of combat requires specially crafted weapons which can absorb the mana energy of the person wielding the weapon which can be used in a varied number of attacks and techniques. He wields two other weapons less frequently, one of these is the Magi Revolver. A modified revolver pistol made with a rare alloy which allows natural mana energy to flow through it, the Magi Revolver uses bullets which are tipped with gems containing dormant spells. When the shell is fired the spell is cast also, this allows for a more tactical way of using magic in combat. Lastly a biomagi dagger is used. Biomagi is a combination of biological weaponary and magic, the dagger is tipped with a magically enhanced poison which, after penitrating the flesh, would cause the living cells around the wound to slowly die, this condition would continue to spread until it kills the target. Though this is a deadly weapon because of the poison it carries, it is limited by the slow speed that the poison takes effect and the ease of curing a biomagi wound, which involves casting a simple healing spell thereby neutralising the magic and halting the poison's effect.
In his alternate form as an sky-blue scaled ice dragon, Ephidel uses the natural abilities of this creature to fight. This involves a number of Ice elemental spells and a powerful icy breath which has been known to freeze in a similar way to liquid nitrogen, largely due to the presence of nitrogen in this state within an ice dragon's body.
Standing at 10'9 in this form, the thin bodied ice dragon is highly agile, his long narrow silver-scaled wings allow him to fly to a great altitude which provides an obvious advantage over any opponent who is bound to the earth.
However he shares a common weakness with all other dragons. Dragons require their sense of sight more than other beings due to the weaknesses of their other senses. The dragon's eyes tend to be regarded as a weakness as it has no way of telling what is happening around it. This weakness has been protected against to a degree by evolution as time has progressed, dragons have adapted in a way that allows wounds to the eyes to heal as any other wound would. This makes any blindness temporary, to a large extent as the eyes heal very quickly in this way, some times to a degree that a dragon could regain sight lost in that same battle.
He has been known in the most dire of situations to use an alternate dragon genus in his transformation which taps the body of a dark dragon, in this way he can either command the dragonic spirit while retaining human form or ascend his body to full Dark Dragon form, in which he loses access to his usual powers in exchange for the awesome strength of ancient, and uncontrollable, darkness.
