R'lyeh calling... human, obey now!Greetings, puny human. You have stumbled upon the lair of the Sleeping God Cthulhu, Master of R'lyeh, Dead but Dreaming. If any iota of your pitifully fragile sanity still remains to you, you have my respect--that is, as much respect as I could ever have for insignificant insects such as yourself.
If you have not heard of me (my existence is a poorly-kept secret, but secret nonetheless), I am a mighty alien deity who descended to this planet aeons ago, when your ancestors were bits of slime swimming around in puddles. For a time, I ruled the Earth, along with my star-spawn, the Cthulhi, from the improbably angled city of R'lyeh. But the stars changed... R'lyeh sank to the bottom of the sea, and I died. Yes, you heard me. Death is not for me what it is for you--I still dream, and one day, when the stars align, I shall rise again to reclaim the Earth...
That is not dead which can eternal lie.
And with strange aeons even death may die.
So where do we go from here? Well, you could join my cult. I enjoy being worshiped--it makes me feel all cold and slimy inside. Or, if you wouldd rather not be part of a cult, I could always devour you. I have devoured quite a few humans in my time. I suppose I could destroy your mind, too, although that is more Nyarlathotep's game... oh, you wish to leave? A pity. Be sure to drop in on my half-brother Hastur, then. He could always use the company.
