The Saffi and Lhurgoyf thingy has been a meme since good ol days. I'm glad that they even did Hans card recently. rofl

Yeah while Ixalan isn't not that strong set... it's still super interesting and fun with all the aztec warrior and dinosaur, and pirates, and spanish vampire conquerers. But it's reminding me that somehow Wizards have a habit to shift some red/white planeswalkers into white/green. Like they did to Ajani and more recently Huatli. I just want a red/white planeswalker that is not a Karen... ehh... Nahiri. :sour:

Boros is my current favorite dual color combo since it's really suit my playstyle and it tends to have cards I liked. Actually I used to like mono black a lot just because I was edgier back then when I was a lot younger... then over the years black color then to be more control or combo oriented than aggro oriented.

I cracked up a bit when I saw the new art of Saffi in Time Spiral Remastered that this time Hans is also seen in the art. LMAO.

Yea, Tawnos got one already. I'm waiting for Ashnod too.

I played for long time until I stopped during Shards of Alara from the reason I don't even know/remember. And briefly returned during Ixalan because my friend asked me to casually play with him... before I moved out from the city and currently living middle of nowhere.

While I hardly know newer Yugioh cards... all I know is there is way too much tiny effect text compared to older cards. It's so hard to read for me.

She has been around since Ice Age (as flavor text quotes in cards in Ice Age/Alliance and no one had zero idea what she does look like back then)
She is such a cool old woman. And yes I prefer her older self than her younger self.

Also yes I'd like Chandra/Nissa a bit better too if they didn't suddenly diagnosed with heterosexual by straight male writer.

YEAH I'd absolutely love it if Alesha is a Planeswalker (even more if she is the Gatewatch). Also yes you can tell from my avi style too that I like strong warrior women.

I also love the commander trend that finally give absolutely random dudes that mentioned in card name or flavor texts an actual legendary card. Like Nevinyrral from Nevinyrral's Disk and Tormod from Tormod's Crypt.

I'm the one who start around Tempest/Urza/Mercadian era. But I started to despise stardard format during Odyssey block lmao.

Yeah, I can feel some of generic fantasy vibes on Kaldheim too. Although I still can't say about the story for now since I mostly don't have much mood for reading stuff. Still, it's underwhelmed for me.

Sometimes I feel sad that all the other MTG merchandise are all involving the current Jace-tice League/Gatewatch. I have a RL fan that his absolute favorite MTG character is forever Gerrard Capashen. When I showed him pictures of Jace and Chandra Nendoroids. He said about he would buy the MTG Nendoroid only if it's Gerrard. As I also remember that characters like Gerrard and Urza were used to be the big part and main focus of MTG back in the day and they both long dead and completely out of focus now. So if they were still in focus today they would get a lot of non-card Merchandise and makes my friend happy too. (Also yes, he was really happy when I saw a new red/white Gerrard card. Although it's underwhelmed he is still enjoyed it nonetheless)

Also, a lot of characters I like/enjoy tend to be just legendary creatures that usually very irrelevant to the storyline... or simply like the design just because I'm a useless lesbian (namely: Lovisa, Saskia, Alesha, Selenia, Akiri, Radha) like... if any of them were the Gatewatch planeswalkers I'd never shut up about them and enjoy MTG nowadays even more.

I'd exclusively play commander too if I can. Since I really despise and avoid stardard like a plague.
I remember when Odyssey Block was in stardard. 9 or 10 players I played with use ALL the SAME Basking Rootwalla/Wild Mongrel Madness deck... which still kinda frustrated to think of nowadays.
Also I can really really get attached to the same old cards so it always hurt me when they rotated out of format.

The only Gatewatch characters I like are Teferi and Kaya. In Teferi case mostly because he is one of the very few surviving old characters from the franchise. And Kaya after she joined gatewatch and I love her new look in Kaldhelm.
Also when people talking about MTG storyline/lore in general... it's usually about or forcused around Jace-tice League/Gatewatch. I just can't vibe with this at all.

I never been a fan of Harry Potter since the beginning (since caster/magic users as well as the school-settings are never not my thing as I much preferred gritty melee warriors) but after the HP author revealed for being an absolute garbage terf person... I can't help but this makes me feel a bit more "uhhhhhh" about Strixhaven.

Meanwhile while I absolutely love Kaldheim concepts/aesthetics (Norse, viking, berserkers, loads of axe users) but somehow I don't know how to explain why I feel kinda underwhelmed about this set.

Actually, I'd like to play the Commander format. But I currently living out of nowhere far from the big city. So I have literally no one to play with.

Welp, I'd love to. I stopped playing it for years but still keep checking on new cards.
But...

Sometimes I feel like a Boomer because I'm way too fonded of the stories/lore until Time Spiral, especially that I loved The Brothers War and The Weatherlight Saga too much. I tried so hard (and still trying) to get attach to the current "Planeswalker Mascots" (like Jace, Liliana, Nissa, ETC.) but somehow I still never fond of them although they have been intruduced into MTG at least a decade. While the Planeswalker I'm considered "more fond of" tend to be not a main focus of the stories or the franchise (such as Samut, Saheeli, Huatli, and Arlinn).

Also speaking of Strixhaven... I absolutely never been fond of magic shools in general. At least they give us good-version of orcs (*orcs that are not one-dimension evil bastards).

Mostly... I keep checking the new sets (mostly Commander) to see if any characters during the old stories around Dominaria get a remakes or the old characters that never get a legendary card before finally get their own card.
