where to find it? for certain areas of the site

journal /journal/?mode=preferences - go to preferences, select colorized curvage - then select all boxes as black. journals will now be dark

many browsers both mobile and desktop have dark mode scripts to add to there browsers so you can always go that way
some users have an old screenshot of there car in there signature that's black but i don't count that as dark mode but since its a black item in peoples signatures so i will list it here for reference only

how to make media not play until you click on it or how or alter the media boxes. i have separated the directions due to confusion / also which videos will not work on gaia

i am sorry but autoplay does not work in custom boxes but you can still add the old autoplay code if you choose but it wont work in there

IF YOU JUST WANT TO CHANGE THE SIZE OF THE MEDIA PANELS BUT NOT ITS BEHAVIOR THEN DO THIS

some videos on YouTube are like this
in this example video link there is just an image and it does not change, in this case it does not matter as it appears that media boxes don't autoplay but its just a workaround
you still get the sound but you do not get autoplay as it does not change the image

WHICH VIDEOS WILL NOT PLAY ON GAIA FROM YOUTUBE

1- if the video is labeled as 18+ meaning you need to sign in to YouTube to watch, also due to Gaia rules this type of video is against the TOS of Gaia

2- live stream videos as there's no actual beginning they wont play in any Gaia box - custom or media

3- foreign language videos ESPECIALLY those in Spanish and French languages {a select few do work but its hit and miss}

4- protected content, is considered as a combination of 1, 2 and 3 (these numbers are part of the rules above) like the video is labeled as 1 and 3 OR the creator has labeled it as protected even when the first 3 don't apply

A man is driving along a highway and sees a rabbit jump out across the middle of the road. He swerves to avoid hitting it, but unfortunately the little rabbit jumps right in front of the car.
