I believe the BG game involved the arrow keys(or the mouse arrow)to go back and forth catching the gold coins.

If I would have known you liked the Irawaddy dolphins I would have sent you like 10 of them.
I had these #4 aquarium gift boxes that would not work/open so I had tried 'trashing them' but they stayed in my inventory for some reason after moving the 'unmovable boxes' out of my storage.
And when I tried opening them months ago they actually worked! I mean it had been years and there were so many dolphins, whales, metal subs(?), and something else I can't remember but I sold or donated the ones I didn't want.

I actually like the cuttlefish and starfish the most. Oh and also the lil cat snails. cat_3nodding heart
I think the Lilja mermaid is the one that would 'flip the bird' when you tap the aquarium near her.
Which kinda shocked me at first but also amused me the first time it happened. I mean the blue one is pretty too but the other has kinda red-ish hair so she is a fave by default(I have red hair). ^^

I don't either but this was gaia and back in the day people liked earning gold so I guess most decided to trust them?
I know they aren't linked now so idk what happened there.

I actually didn't know it was Memorial Day till it was pretty much over but I spent the day gardening, reading, and listening to music.

Well that sounds absolutely lovely (and you definitely need a post-vaccine rest day!) I only had soreness at the site of injection but some of my friends got really sick. Painting! What were you working on? biggrin

We ended up getting chicken Mehkni, chicken 65, and two others that we had not tried, but all were fantastic. I really want to learn how to make my own naan. AND I am super sore today because yesterday I helped take 16 children and 4 adults down a river and taught them about river ecology. It was exhausting and fun! I also got a bit sunburned. -_-

I had forgotten that the moga game was actually called Monster Galaxy.
And yes it was pretty fun and kinda like Lake Kindred(there were small battles involved where you earn certain mogas and you had your own campsite/house with a special tree that grows fruit that would give you gold or something). This was back before the inflation so it was kinda a big deal to get free gold from games.

I also miss the aquariums... crying I mainly miss getting to use my christmas tree lights in different shapes on my backgrounds.
And I have all these fish/creatures I never got to use because they lived for so long and there was a limit to how many you could add(which was around 14 or so till the tank was full).
I plan on keeping them though just incase they fix it. Do you have any particular favorites(the fish/creatures)?
I also enjoyed the message in the bottle and the gold drop game(back when gold was hard to earn).

Gaia actually had 3 facebook apps a while back. One was an aquarium game(like on gaia)where you basically had the same fish and could earn gold to send to your account(could do this with HOC's purple gems that were converted to gold), there was this picture editor called Gaiapuri(ka?) that you could decorate your pics with stickers-filters-and words-oh and you could also add your friend's avies, and ofcourse there was Monster Galaxy but it could also be played on here(possibly by linking accounts).

Zomg is fun but also difficult. -__-
I had actually finished half of my unfinished missions before adobe flash stopped but I had to take a break because certain monsters would drain my hps too quickly.
It was so much easier back when it first started and you could just gain a whole group to talk to and fight the big bads.

Thats basically what it was about but it also had a storyline and you would earn these cards with different characters that had special abilities where you'd fight monsters to get to the next level/story part. And you earned gold by cashing in these purple gems and you would sometimes win cards from either the good guys side or the badguys side(when you get these they basically fight for you). Which was always pleasing because half the time certain characters would take you down within 3 hits.

Happy Memorial Day! Very relaxing day. I was truly grateful for the third day off. I think I needed the rest. smile We aren't doing anything special....maybe ordering Indian food. XD Are you all doing anything interesting today?

There were games that were discontinued that were actually fun like the one for Mogas, Heralds Of Chaos, the airship game for Frontier Skies, Switchem(added back a few years or so ago), and then theres the time when zomg was discontinued for some reason but was brought back when Lanzer was off hiatus.

Yeah it does seem like it'd be alot of work but hopefully they still enjoy it.
Like sometimes I wonder if they ever thought it'd get so popular back in 2003...

I kinda wish they'd fix the other contests but mainly the art section(maybe avieart artists could get more recognition that way?).
Back when I first joined gaia I didn't know people actually joined the other contests and only knew about the avie section.
(Just checked and they went out of style or were discontinued back in 2009-2010.)

Something else I always wondered about was why they never made a contest for the aquariums if they had one for houses.
I mean eventually the ideas would have run out based on the number of items available but making new items for it wouldn't have been that much work if they decided to make a contest for them.
But honestly I think it had something to do with whoever was incharge while Lanzer was on hiatus.

Oh I think the gaia crew has been working on updating the site for the past few days so that might be why it was acting wonky.
(they mentioned working on the site in the staff notes)

And yes its very cool how far they've gotten in item designs. ^^
I do miss the animated items though...
(those were discontinued before adobe was but you can still use the 'still' option of those items)
