Biography
A light blue haired male who in coordination with Stellar and Sting, hijacked ZAFT's Gundam's. Auel has a very cocky personality and is not afraid to use the blockword on STellar to get her to stop fighting when she goes out of control.
Background: As one of the Earth Alliance's experiments, he came from the research laboratory of Rodina. He later takes part of an operation in which he successfully hijacks the ZGMF-X31S Abyss Gundam. He likes to play basketball with Sting and is good at dunking. As with most experiments, Auel has a block word, and that is "mom". Upon hearing the word, he will react unusually and convulse.
Personality: He is very laid back and cocky, and practically always remains cool and confident. He sometimes calls Stellar stupid, but she doesn't mind as she considers him as part of her family.

The Phantom Pain is a special forces team created by the Earth Alliance. They're used for special missions such as the hi-jacking of the ZAFT mobile suits, but most of the time, they're pilots of mobile suits in battle. They're different from other mobile suit pilots however, in that all three of them are Extendeds, and therefore, ultimate soldiers. They were made specifically for fighting, and if they cannot complete their task, they are failures.
The Phantom Pain is made up of of Sting Oakley, Auel Neider and Stellar Loussier. Their leader is Neo Roanoke. Neo treats them all fairly well, considering he believes them to be pieces of equipment. He is especially careful around Stellar; he knows Stellar had an incredible phobia of death, and a very strong determination to stay alive. Carefully, he crafted a relationship with her where Stellar viewed him as almost a fatherly type figure, where she would do anything to protect Neo. Not more than once, she screams for Neo's name, for Neo to comfort her and pat her on the head, for him to tell her she did another great job out there on the battlefield. It would seem that Stellar lives from one day to the next fueld by a desire to protect Neo, and carry out his commands.
Though it is known that Neo cares very little about the life Phantom Pain members, he does seem to give special attention to Stellar. She may appear to be fragile and weak, but he knows that she is the most explosive one -- the one who can cause the most damage. Once she believes her life, or the life of anybody important to her, is in danger, she will go full out to destroy the enemy. Neo does not care about Stellar more than the others, but he does acknowledge she is more special than Sting or Auel. If he manipulates her into thinking that he -- someone she clearly cares about to a great extent -- is in danger, than she will be able to cause massive damage. For in the end, all Neo truly cares about is winning the war. The most care he would give to the Phantom Pain members is whether or not they come back alive to fight another battle. He was not a cruel leader; but he was not kind either.
Phantom Pain members wish Neo a safe trip.The other members, Sting and Auel, are who Stellar sees as her brothers. They have been with her since the laboratory days, and they are still with her. Stellar would do anything for her 'brothers', which could be clearly seen when she ran away from the Earth Alliance ship in the Gaia mobile suit to hunt down the ones that killed Auel's 'mother'. It's not that she looks up to them in any way, but they are the ones she spends most of her time with and she has developed close, if not strong, relationships with them.
Stellar is the immature child of the three. Sting and Auel don't outwardly voice their affection for their 'younger sister' but it's clear that they care about her to an extent as well; they spent all night searching for her when she disappeared during their day off (they were complaining about her running off without a word, but they care about her nonetheless). They tease her in the way older brothers do, but in the end, they are just comrades in war. Auel won't hesitate to speak of death in front of her if he felt Stellar needed to be riled up to fight properly in battle.
The Phantom Pain is like Stellar's broken family. While they appear to be like brothers and sisters to one another -- and to some extent, they are -- all faithfully loyal to the 'father', Neo, in the end, they still go by the rule: every man for themselves (with the exception of Stellar). Neo, Auel and Sting can see the truth about their little group; it is only Stellar living in the fantasy that these people truly care about her and because of this misunderstanding of their relationships, she is the only one who will go the extra mile to protect them.
