QUICK NOTES FOR POTENTIAL ARTISTS.
Name: Oz Pasternak;; Not short for "Oswald", does not like to be called "Ozzie" or "Catfish."
Age: ...23. Yes really. (Medical school freshman)
Eye colour: GREEN LIKE ALGAE.
Hair: Loosely curly and darkdarkbrown-black. Stereotypical Jewish.
Body type: Slightly more flexible due to gene splice, but for the most part average-build;; about 5'9"
Short personality: Dumb!happy, exaggerated/VERY SHOWY emotions, flighty, high-energy because catfish is nutritious and is good for you (or you can blame his electric powerz), lacks a mouth filter
Distinguishing features: Is Mizrahi Jew--TAN SKIN;; hands that can produce electricity;; poofy hair.;; attracts stray cats due to his gene splice
Outfits: His closet is made out of bargain bin buys courtesy of his mum. Likes jeans and doesn't mind stupid looking things.

NOT-SO-BRIEF EXPLANATION ON HIS ABILITIES/SPLICING.
Oz was ORIGINALLY going to be spliced with a double dosage of electric eel gene (for double the electrical power!), but they ran out of eel. SO EVEN THOUGH HE GOT *SOME* eel in him, he's mostly electric catfish spliced!!
His hands can produce 450 volts at max, but is most comfortable at the 300-350 range.
HOWEVER, ACCORDING TO SCIENCE VOLTS ALONE CANNOT KILL YOU. Therefore, in order for Oz to ACTUALLY be useful, he needs to conduct his electricity on either his copper pipe (best case scenario) or whatever he can find lying around at the time i.e. pennies!!! (worst case scenario) Straight up static is hard to control and is generally useless to Oz due to its unpredictable nature.
The extra electro-chemical energy that he can produce attributes to his fast reflexes (because neural connections are electrical!!). Oz is also slightly more flexible because fish are totally flexible and slippery.

DETAILED PERSONALITY.
Oz's personality is almost laughably stereotypical in regards to his abilities. He's EXTREMELY impulsive, easily provoked, sticks to people like STATIC (once he gets liking them), and has quite the (incurable) motor mouth. Most of the time he doesn't think about his decisions, preferring instead, to dealing with consequences LATER.
OF COURSE, THIS IS USUALLY BAD BECAUSE most people like tact which Oz does not have. Having been born without a speaking filter, he usually voices his thoughts as soon as they come to mind, whether they be very nice compliments ("I LIKE YOUR SHOES" wink or downright insults ("HAVE YOU GAINED WEIGHT..." wink .
Generally, Oz is really bad at keeping friends, especially since his personality wears on people a LOT. But, he tends to be okay with that as he lacks the capacity to angst and just follows his "palsters" around (in spite of obvious or not-so-obvious protest/AVOIDING.)
The only thing Oz takes seriously is his path to ~**MEDICAL DOCTOR*~*~*. Although he isn't exceptionally smart (NOR DOES HE REALLY COME OFF AS "MED STUDENT" wink , he's above average in IQ and works VERY HARD in hopes of working in the ER one day. (and getting a mechanical lung in that process).
CURRENT/HOME UNIVERSE.
OZ'S PAST
Oz's parents were two Mizrahi Jews living in XXX, America who got married due to cultural and familial expectations. (both parties were nearing their mid-thirties).
They had three children, a girl (who is currently 30), then an Oz (currently 23), and then another girl (currently 20).
Because his parents were relatively frugal (as stereotypes work that way) NONE of their children got mechanical parts.
Ever since he was little, Oz has wanted a mechanical parts to be as awesomely athletic as his classmates. This is why he is so dead-set on his doctoring goal. (for monies and eventual access to the best parts)
His parents want him to get hitched because AS THE ONLY SON he is also the only one who will carry on the Pasternak name. Plus, both his sisters have married before him which is shameful or something.
Being NOT a doctor yet, he doesn't plan on fulfilling their dreams any time soon lol...
RELATIONSHIPS.
- Afraid of older sister, gets along with younger.
Calls Taro "Ham-taro". They used to be "friends" in high school until Taro randomly disappeared one day at school to ditch and do drugs or something. He is convinced that Taro used to be nice due to his weight and constantly urges him to gain it back.
Has srs. attachment issues to Fiona because his words do not offend her and she is nice. WANTS TO BE WITH HER EVERY MOMENT because he has no other friends that don't yell at him for his lack of mouth filter. Besides Ori...
His other bud is Ori and they get along SWELL. Oz thinks Ori is funny as hell. because they like puns. a lot.
He also really likes being with Lucas because little boys also lack mouth filters and therefore do not know why calling people fat is offensive. Plus Oz always wanted a younger brother/someone to look up to him that is not a female.
Finds Grant amusing and takes no extra effort to saying inoffensive things to him.
Likes provoking Sybil
Calls Remy "sardine" because he rolls like that.
Annoys Lex whoops.
Dislikes/doesn't get along with Aspen because he is a killjoy.
LIKES TRYING TO UNLEASH THE INNER-FUN-PERSON WITHIN Cassidy. Comes to fall in love with said inner-fun-person and finds it TRAGIC that so many forces in her life have come to suppress her so~*~* LIKES URGING HER TO DO STUPID s**t WITH HIM.
