My grandfather growing up was the man I had aptly nicknamed "Greatpa" because no one could beat having him as their grandfather. He was my second dad growing up and a tremendous influence on my life. Unfortunantly after a long and harrowing battle with both lung and colon cancer coupled with a tumor on his neck he succumed the battle and died on april 3,2007. I was still a freshman in highschool at the time and it ended up defining the year for me, in an akward way that made me realize the man I knew as Greatpa was gone but had left me with the best adive I'd ever know. "Live,be you, and just live like you have never lived for another day." So for "greatpa" I wear my ribbons and daffodils happily.
