Since before I can even remember, my granny had been battling breast cancer. In the mid-nineties they upped her chemotherapy treatment to doses that had never been tried before. At the time I was actually angry that they were using her like a "labrat" as I said then. But now I'm so thankful that her doctors did that. Not only did it save her life, but its saved possibly thousands of lives now. And she rarely ever let it get her down. I think her biggest letdown was losing her hair until we told she could wear wigs. She's always been so full of life. And now, at 80 she's still more energetic than I am. She's a strong woman and a survivor.
