My Grandma Dorsan

One of the greatest memories I have of my Grandma Dorsan is basically my Grandma herself. Sure she did pass away thanks to some pancreatic cancer but the cancer is not the part I remember. I remember when my grandma would sometimes get a little food spilled on her shirt.
"So what did you have for breakfast?" someone would ask.
My grandma, being her honest blunt self would just look at her shirt and state, "Well I dunno, but I see some toast, bacon, and eggs right here."
My Grandma did a lot of knitting as well. The rest of the family would get a whole slew of pot holders and dish rags. Every time I got a dish rag out of a kitchen drawr to do the dishes I'd think of her. Every time I burned my finger on a burner and than went to get a dishrag. I'd think oh yeah that's what Grandma knit pot holders for. The last Christmas Gift I ever got from her is a baby pink blanket that sits over the back of my computer chair. Every time I sit down to play Gaia online, I think of her.

My Grandma and Grandpa also raised long horns for a living. That was quite the motif all over her house besides the south western mountain man theme that was a back drop for the clutter here and there about the house. When I was little Grandma actually yelled at me once for not to get too close to the longhorns you're liable to get hurt. Once I got a bit bigger she let me feed some cake to one of them once. Do you know how slimey it is to get licked by a cow? It just goes to show that I'd rather have a kiss from Grandma instead of a kiss from a cow any day of the week. I'll really miss Grandma but as long as she's alive in my heart, that'll always be a good feeling to me.
