Grandma, Polly Marshall.
In '07 my grandma went to the hospital in though of having pneumonia; the results came back as lung cancer. After a year of fighting off the cancer, and the chemo she lost all her hair, but the cancer was gone. In '09 she started slipping in her mind. Forgetting simple tasks, losing the ability to walk, we thought it as something else. They ran a CT scan, the lung cancer wasn't gone. It had moved to her brain. She is now fighting off a small bit of lung cancer, the tumors in her brain shrunk from the radiation treatments. She's fighting strong but the days vary. Some days she won't leave bed, others she is up and cleaning like nothing ever happened. It's a horrible thing to live through but shes holding strong, and we are keeping her in our thoughts.
