I would like to honor both my grandfathers and list their names on the Yellow Wall.
Man Sang Chang is my grandfather on my father's side. He was a smoker and had passed away a few months before I was born. I never got to know him and I would always listen to stories about him, just so I could imagine what it would have been like if he were still alive and with us today.
Ricardo Verches is my grandfather on my mother's side. He too was a smoker but quit around 1970. This week, he was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer. Months earlier, he had recovered from a stomach cancer. I have not seen him in the last three years and wish to go see him soon. The doctors predicted that he only had months to live.
