The Yellow Wall
Where we honor those that survived, those that did not, and those still fighting.
Shirley Kameka and Paul De Belleval
My dear grandmother who was only 60 when she lost her battle to ovarian cancer. I was only 11 when she died, yet she had been in life so much that even now it hurts. It was a hard month, every day my parents would come home from the hospital my mother would be crying, saying the doctors told her that she'd be struggling another night to live and that it was possible she wouldn't make it. Her fight started March 3rd, 2001 and ended March 31st when they pulled the plug to her life support. That night we all sat in the waiting room, waiting to see our fathers come out. I only remember seeing my dad come out of the room, I ran to him and only started to cry. I don't remember most of that night, it all went in a blur. Even now, 8 years later I still remember her and thank her for being such a loving Grandma and taking care of me for as long as she could. I just wish she knew how much I really loved her and miss her even now.

I'd also like to add my father's name to the wall, Paul De Belleval. He was diagnosed with Colan Cancer of that same year, but was one of the lucky to survive it.
