Things People tend to say about me: Anji is a very protective and intellectual person. He is also kind and surprisingly passive to be a captain. When it comes to his duties as captain, Anji is very serious though he has yet to fully grasp the role. When interacting with other shinigami he is rather laid-back and mellow.
Skills of Note: Marksmanship: Besides being a Zanjutsu/sword master Anji is also an archer expert as well.
Number of Seals: 10 seals that take the form of five line tattoos on each of his arms (always covered by shihakusho and Haori) Two black bracers that constantly limit the amount of spirit pressure he can exert.

Weakness(es?): Anji's blind loyalty to Soul Society/Soul King often causes him to act reckless. He is also fairly 'inept' at being a captain.

My life has been like this: Anji was, as many shinigami are, a soul who grew up in the Rukongai district and had great spirit pressure. Anji, seeing as becoming a shinigami was the only way to get out of Rukongai, decided to join the academy and become a shinigami. During his years at the academy Anji procured his spot as a brilliant mind and keen thinker within the Soul Academy. His grades were great but he really excelled in the battlefield. In terms of strength Anji was well above most of the students at the academy but in terms of strategy he showed to be on par with those who possessed the battle experience of a lieutenant. As he made his way through the academy Anji continued studying and training to keep not only his body but his mind in top condition knowing that getting stronger was the only way for him to protect the Soul Society which he had come to care about.
Anji graduated from the academy, near the top of his class, and was placed into the 9th squad Anji began making his way through the ranks proving his skill and loyalty to Soul Society many times over, his keen intellect boosting him further up through the ranks. After a while he had become Captain and after a few years suddenly he vanished from his position to go on an 'extended mission' to other worlds. Though unknown to the other shinigami Anji had been asked to become part of Zero squad and was taken from the Seireitei. Anji wouldn't be heard from until just after Aizen had been locked away.
After Aizen and his arrancar had been defeated Seireitei was left devastated and even in need of a new Central 46. At first the Zero Squad found no need to meddle in the happenings of Seireiti as it was the Gotei 13's place to protect since they had the Soul King, his family and the Soul Palace; that was until an arrancar slipped into the Soul King's realm. Normally this wouldn't be a problem as the Zero Squad kept the king safe as usual except this was due to a blunder of the Gotei 13. As they began to question the competence of the Gotei 13 the members of Zero Squad found it necessary for one of them to travel to Seireitei and take a position among the Gotei 13 and conduct an investigation of the strength and skill of the Gotei 13 to ensure that threats from a mistake would never again reach the Soul King's palace. Anji volunteered to go back and conduct the investigation, as he not only missed the members of his old squad but he also missed protecting the Seireitei. Finding it reasonable that one with a keen mind should go the other members of Zero Squad accepted his proposal.
Since there were vacancies in the ninth division due to the events proceeding Aizen's betrayal it was arranged for Anji to be "promoted" due to his 'excellent completion' of his 'extended mission.' When Anji arrived to take his position many questions were asked as the man, who had disappeared for countless years and suddenly returned, was now a completely different person than he had been when he was a seated member of the Ninth Division. After a few months, and many, many MANY, questions answered, Anji was finally accepted back into his squad by his fellow members and soon took charge of the group to the best of his knowledge, his skills on being a captain were a bit rusty, to put it simply.
ZanpakutÅ: Ookami no Kyousei Bouei [Protection of The Great Wolf] Anji has achived both Shikai and Bankai.
Shikai Command: "Protect Ookami"
When Anji releases his zanpakuto the blade turns into a white and green, bladed bow with no string. The bow can be detached from the middle, where the arrow goes, turning it into twin blades. The sheath of Anji's blade turns into two white and green bracers each one possessing a small green gem which absorbs reshi from the air around. With the reaitsu gathered from the gems Anji forms the string and arrow to fire upon his enemy.
Shikai Abilities: The true nature of Anji's zanpakuto is fire, allowing Anji many different uses of it. After muttering the phrase "Scorch your enemies" the arrows the man fires turn red and posses the ability to explode either on impact.
Shield of Flame: Anji's zanpakuto strives to protect it's master spreading it's high temperature flames over the man's body. While the shield isn't really a shieild it helps prevent people from getting close enough to hit him. Doesn't work on projectiles.
Assault of Flame: The offensive form of the Sheild of Flame where the fire, instead of protecting Anji, extends from its master and attacks anyone close enough. The flames will react to Anji's will and can even be concentrated into a devastating attack.
Bankai Command: "Protect your Allies" Ookami no Kyousei Bouei
In this from Anji's bow completely disappears and turns back into it's unreleased state. The bracers that cover both of the man's wrists crawls down his arms; this not only gives him strong armor over both arms, but larger gems means they can gather reshi faster; the gems also now form the bow and the arrow instead of just the arrow. During his transformation eight large, green, arrows form just behind Anji's back in a circle; one of the arrows just over Anji's left shoulder as if in a quiver.
Bankai Abilities:
Arrow strength boast: To fire an arrow all Anji has to do is pull one from his back, which will be replaced, and fire it. The arrow is equivalent to a few dozen of his arrows in shikai form.
GOING NUCLEAR!!!: This is an attack in which Anji will fire a large volley of explosive arrows into the air towards the opponent. When the arrows come down many large explosions which is powerful enough to create a large crater in the ground. This attack is hard to dodge if you are in the area where the arrows are fired as each arrow creates a separate explosion.
Super Nova: Usually the man will combine it with a barrier Kido to condense the effect of the explosion into a small area making the attack all the more horrendous.
Great Arrow: All of the arrows that hover behind Anji form into one large, devastating arrow. The arrow itself has enough power to cause a path of destruction as it flies through the air.
Anything else you want to add: Anji can always be seen carrying, or smoking, out of his kiseru. Though it is not exactly known what Anji smokes out of it many people claim it gives him his 'calm' behavior.
