Squishee
I wonder if it's ethically and morally alright to put my thoughts into a journal anyone could read... I may mention people in here that don't want to be mentioned. Oh well. Screw the innocent.
I'm kinda starting to slip away from all the people I used to be close to.
I can't remember barely any of my friends from 9th.
I was never really a part of 10th...
The 11s are slipping
And the 12ves are almost gone away.

Maybe it's my brain saying "You need to let go of everyone, so you can go away to college."

That's understandable, trust me.
I want you to think of Yeats' "The Second Coming," just the first two lines.

"Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer"

I've always held those lines close to heart.
Imagine a funnel, and place yourself at the bottom of the spout with the people you know, except they're on the opposite side. Now you and they turn round and round, traveling upward in a slow spiral. As you go up and around, you'll notice they're a little farther away with each revolution.
As you go on in life, those people and things that matter now will become more and more distant from you, as they have their lives and you have yours, and while you'll undoubtedly have a few still close to you, most of you are traveling in different directions in life.
And inevitably... Well, the falcon will not be able to hear the falconer.
