Miyo awoke to the prodding of something into her back. She rolled over to find herself in a dank alley with barely any light. That and the giant spider that had been crawling on her a moment before. "One of the reasons why I hate Him..." She gave the spider a glare and as it turned to scuttle away it burst into flames. "That's better. Now to dust myself off." she looked down at her clothes hopelessly for a moment. "Just frickin great!" She looked up at the sky trying not to think of the s**t smeared all over her attire. "Thank you" she called out. "I appreciate it..." There was nothing for it, she had no choice but to search for new clothes in the wreckage of some of these buildings. "Alright let's start with the cave-in over there..." She headed in the direction of a severely busted-up mansion praying for some good luck. For once in her dismal life...After about an hour and a half of rummaging through the building, she found aslightly tattered pair of breaches and a dull, cotton shirt. "Back to the forest, it seems. I'm almost positive I saw a creek there from my bird's eye view." she thought aloud.
Finally at the creek she looked around surreptitiously and began to shed her disgusting apparel. "Time for a bath, I think. Yes, that sounds pleasant." She glanced about once more before diving into the creek. Making sure to have a good view of her clothes, she began to scrub off he grime of that revolting alley floor. "D@#$ Him, he did that on purpose. Well, I hope you got a good laugh!" she cried out suddenly. She swam about a bit longer, until she felt sufficietly clean. "Oh well, guess there's nothing to do but try to find a way to clean off my clothes." Reluctantly, she got out from the creek and adorned her new breeches and shirt. "A man's fit, not surprising." She smiled at herself and began to gather the surrounding foilage to start a decent sized fire.
After getting it going, she took her clothes to the edge of the creek and scrubbed as best she could; at least until she was satisfied nothing would be growing on them in the morning. Then she set them out to dry by the fire and just sat watching the firelight dance on the trees. Knowing it was probably not the best of ideas to have a fire going so openly, but also not really caring to terribly much. "I guess I should probably go find something to eat." she thought as her stomach informed her she hadn't eaten in nearly a day and a half. She doused the fire and hid her clothes in a nearby bush. "I'll be back for you later." She laughed as she realized how pathetic it was to talk to herself or inanimate objects for that matter...
to be continued...
