We have an old beagle and my step dad has been wanting a larger dog for the longest time now. Pebbles is a good dog but she doesn't play and he wants to play with a a dog. So mom and John went to the humane society to look at dogs. They picked my bro and I up from school and they had Pebbles in the car. They took us there and introduced us to Mr. Tubbs.
Before I say anymore i'll give you his background story. He was tied to a tree and it got tangled up leaving him with 3 inches of length. The neighbors 2 pit bulls attacked him everyday, his previous owner called him a vicious dog.
Mr. Tubbs renamed Bear is a 71 pound rottie mix and he thinks he's a 4 pound lap dog.
He really does live up to his new name, He loves people and he looks like a teddy bear. He even acts like one too. When he first met pebbles he licked her face. He likes to lick people and n** at your clothes to demand attention. The most effective way for him though is to climb on your lap. xd
He has WAY to much energy and is a really really big baby. He usually follows me around like a lost puppy dog when mom isn't here and he lays outside my bedroom door and whines to be allowed in. Can't do that, why? The cats have taken over my room. Both Ms. Mittens and Butters are scared of bear. We think that they think Pebles is just a funny looking/smelling cat.
I've gotta be honest with you i've never played tug-of-war with a dog that weighs 20 pounds less then I do. xd sweatdrop I'm pretty sure he could drag me aaround the yard if he wanted to but he prefers to give his toy a few sharp tugs and then let you pull on it.
Another troublesome thing he does is jump into the pool. Throws a fit when we use the waterhose on him of put him in the tub but he climbs in the pool. stressed So now I get to spend time outside making sure that he doesn't put a hole in it or hurt himself. It's kinda of a pain especially when I just want to sit around and relaxe but that kind of stuff comes along with bringing home a puppy.
