Yeah, that would be Nightwish. I love them. I can't say that I won't have changed mind in half a year, but for the time being I listen mostly to metal, and Nightwish is just fantastic.
It'd be very be very appropriative of me to quote them or something, but I can't choose what lyrics to share with you, 'cause they've made so many wonderful songs! I guess I'll just have to pick one then? I choose ... uhm, Planet Hell, because that's the one I've got in my head right at the moment, and it's very touching indeed.
Denying the lying
A million children fighting
For lives in strife
For hope beyond the horizon
This song is about war, I guess. Fighting and dying, thinking of yourself or others. I'm having a hard time finding the true meaning of some songs now and then. It isn't always as easy as it seems.
A dead world
A dark path
Not even crossroads to choose from
All the bloodred
Carpets before me
Behold this fair creation of God
Did I say, that it's Toumas, who writes the songs? I don't know all the persons in Nightwish that well yet, anyway ... my friend likes him very much 3nodding
My only wish to leave behind
All the days of the Earth
An everyday hell of my kingdom come
So, this person wants to die, doesn't he? That would be because the world he lives in is terrorized by war, I guess. (I get all analytical xp )
The 1st rock thrown again
Welcome to hell, little Saint
Mother Gaia in slaughter
Welcome to paradise, Soldier
Could this be ironic? What I get is this: those who do not think of themselves comes in hell, the soldiers who fights come to heaven (this makes sense with something they sing later)
My 1st cry neverending
All life is to fear for life
You fool, you wanderer
You challenged the gods and lost
Save yourself a penny for the ferryman
Save yourself and let them suffer
In hope
In love
This world ain't ready for The Ark
Mankind works in mysterious ways
What I said before about thinking of yourself makes sense with 'save yourself a penny for the ferryman', because you can do that - save yourself that penny and think of no one else.
I don't really know what The Ark is ... has this any connection to Noah or something? sweatdrop
Anyway, I hope you liked it (if anyone read it, that is). I surely did.

'I am not worried, Harry,' said Dumbledore, his voice a little stronger despite the freezing water. 'I am with you.'
