Two today! One of which requires a bit of explanation. I write, now and again, a fact that really isn't all that awe-inspiring. However, a few years ago, in the birthing of some of my fandom spirit, I wrote a story involving a wolf named Torin. That name (and more importantly, that character) became one by which I was known for quite a while, below is a poem I wrote of sheer boredom, with him as the topic. In truth, it's the last three lines that made me keep it
Torin
The darkness threatened to overwhelm yet he kept it at bay
Almost overcome, clawing at the edge the edge of sanity
lost the fight, succumbed danced the path of Spiral
drowning in darkness falling, tumbling, without hope
faith struggled, mind toss'd sire saved, almost lost
struggled to fix, to change a past of pain
struggled to right, to reclaim
triumphed at last fixed his past
Yet still haunted, still plagued by the lives he changed
Markings of a prince makings of a saint yet heart of a killer
And this one is new, wrote just a few days ago, that I love very much.
You're nothing but a devil That's why I scream so loud You're nothing but a devil Play with this new toy you found
Why must you smile at me? Knowing I can't break free These chains you use upon my soul Keep me under control These chains upon my heart Ensure we'll never part
You're nothing but a devil That's why I scream so loud You're nothing but a devil Playing with this new toy you found...
